I can see twins-titan combo dominating the battle often (especially if healed by isida hidden behind it), so I am surprised by what you said. I am thinking about buying "Medic" soon and "Prometheus" later, but this way I will not have any medium or long range turret for quite a long time.

What? Why would you not quote someone? Then they probably wouldnt even see your response in their notifications unless they follow this topic. Plus, obviously your responding to something they said, so quote that even if it is not directly about their text. On the previous page where you responded to @DragonOfStorms about which kit he should buy, you should and could have quoted his post so he would know what your talking about more easily. If you are just telling someone something that is not in response to anything at all that they said, just type out "quote name=[Their username here]] [/quote" then add a bracket just before the "q" at the beginning and a bracket just after the "e" at the end so that the person will get a notification that they were "quoted" ;)

At my rank, people generally use the best paint in thier garage, not a paint that best suits the map. Freeze paints are not that popular (apart from Inferno and Zeus at Gissmo battles). I see Emerald, Rustle, and Prodigi a lot in all battles, including Poly CP. If you really want Thunder, buy it, don't make me stop you. Now before I suggest anything else to you, what maps do you play most of the time?

Should I save for Atlas kit (Titan M2, Smoky M2, Loam) or Mosquito kit (Wasp M2, Railgun M2, Savannah)? I currently have just over 120k. My current combo is the Minotaur kit (Viking M2, Twins M2, Rhino). Here's my current opinions on both of 'em.

 

Atlas:

The good

 

1. Smoky M2. Extremely OP, and one of my favorite turrets. I have Smoky experience on my alt, @DragonOfTheMist.

2. Loam's Fire protection is superior to Storms.

3. Titan would give me a heavy M2 hull to use.

 

The bad

 

1. I've already got an OP combo. Do I really need to spend 180k to get more options in non-format battles? Will this equipment actually last longer?

2. Loam is better then Storm, but my paint options wouldn't be diverse.

3. I doubt I'd use Titan much. I'm too fond of Viking.

 

 

Mosquito kit:

The good

 

1. XP/BP! I'd be able to play format XP/BP, which would be a way to compete with other players on an even playing field all the way to Lieutenant General (), where I plan to buy Paladin.

2. Savannah. Excellent protection against Smoky, a very powerful turret. 20 protection from Railgun, replacing Fracture in every way. It looks so much better too.

 

The bad

 

1. Wasp is superior to Hornet at M2, but still similar.

2. Not really an amazing combo in normal battles. This is offset somewhat by the XP/BP factor, though.

 

IMO neither. You have a very sting kit as is and don't need another. but twins can get boring, so to keep things entertaining I would just buy another M2 turret. If you can live without and hold up until an M3 kit that would be best.

Will Striker last me till WO1 for my alt or as long as it'll take to buy fighter? Imo I'll be able to get it at WO1. Not Striker, will get it if won Tanki Thinking Challenge again, if not then straight to Corsair.

Ya, M1 Smoky should last you until you start fighting M2 Smokys and M2 Heavy hulls if you do some mu on it. Maybe like 15 or 20?

I say just buy M2 Railgun alone so you can do xp/bp instead of getting mosquito since XP is a much better combo ( :P)

 

As long as you have xp/bp combo, you will always have a last resort crystal income in case you run into some crystal problems ;)

 

Plus, XP is much better in norml battles too since wasp sucks :P

 

If you want an upgraded Wasp, just save for XT instead :) (thats what im gonna do)

 

Or i guess get Atlas(thats what im gonna do :D)

 

I recommend Aborigine. Savanna paint is really good.  It makes up for the lost armor from titan. And hunter is faster.

With a proper combo I could play on Serpuhov, Barda or Desert maps, though these are less frequent, Desert and Barda in particular.

 I usually play on Polygon (CP), Noise (CTF, CP), Silence (CTF, CP), Sandbox (CP, CTF), Hill (CTF), Island (CTF, CP) and Highland (CTF) maps. I like Kungur, Aleksandrovsk and Wave maps. 

 

Option 1: Buy Medic, and maybe buy Freeze separately, then save for a heavy M3 kit, preferably Guardian (Titan-Smoky M3+Nano), Giant (Mammoth-Ricochet M3+Graffiti, I would recommend this one), or Rock Climber (Titan-Ricochet M3+Rock).

That way you will have a heavy and medium hull, as well as a long-medium range turret and a short range turret (Ricochet M3 is decent at longer ranges).

Cherry is useful (ish) for Poly CP or other small maps where Twins/Thunder is popular. Vulcan isn't that popular in-between Brigadier and Marshal, but the numbers of them increase after that (but by that time Cherry will become pretty useless).

Isida paints are not that popular in Poly CP, neither are Freeze ones.

Freeze M3 is very good in Poly CP. I once got a D/L of 54.00, 108 kills 2 deaths (full battle, but with heavy drugging). My Freeze is currently 20/50 on MUs, and it is still effective in Gismo Poly CPs.

A heavy M3 kit will ensure you get a high score in small-medium maps, and the paints in all 3 kits I suggested are good. 

 

Option 2: Buy nothing until Marshal, then buy a Hunter M3 kit and a heavy M3 kit (my friend did this and he said that it was painful but worth it. He bought Guardian and Lumberjack). 

 

I could go on forever with options, but those are the two that I would recommend to you. Again, if you want to buy Thunder, don't let me stop you, but IMO stock Thunder M3 ain't great.

There is such thing as a spoiler, which are meant to hold long sets of text of images in this forums, as there is no possible way to spoil something in this game :P

So complaining that it would take up too much room is a completly empty and irrevelent argument -_-

How are you playing with freeze on Polygon? Freezeing enemies who crowd at the point or running around map and killing single enemies who spawn or camp with long-range turrets? That epic K/D suggests the 2nd way, since most tanks die quickly near the point. The reason why I'm not convinced to freeze is that it deals less damage than fire (no afterburn), while being vulnerable because of short range.

 

There are 2 kits with m3 freeze: "Boreas" and "Refrigerator". I could buy "Medic" + "Boreas" or "Refrigerator" + "Healer", but I lack about 150k crystals now, which means I would have to wait with buying 2nd kit and MUs for both.

 

Medic is good on small (Island, Hill, Arena) and medium (Polygon, Noise, Silence maybe) maps, but too slow on bigger ones or those with less obstacles.Small maps usually don't grant big battle funds.

 

On the other side, isida is the turret which can always be useful due to it's unique healing ability.

 

I need to think more about it.

Freeze is good because of the amount of energy it has. I got that K/D because of a few Isidas following me around. I did not spawn kill by the way. What I would do is go to the point and freeze the clump of tanks by the point, while spinning around them (so they are frozen and can't damage me)

Plan B: Save up for a kit and probably will have enough crystals in mid of Field Marshal or Commander.

I'd just m4 those m3s you got and buy paints. It's alot easyer to cope on high ranks with let's say 1 m4 combo and the paints to suit it, than 5 m3s and some decent to good paints that might or might not suit them. Definetly don't buy anything full price, so if you aren't ready to wait go for a kit instead of stacks of MUs or other m3s.

Corsair kit is OP, just like Fighter kit. (M1 Twins)

 

If you are looking for a good early rank M2 kit, Simoom and Boar kit look good. 

 

Otherwise, m1 kits, almost all of them are amazing: Fighter, Corsair, Predator, Bulldog, Tsunami, Hammer of Thor, Hero, Anvil. There are so many. Which maps do you play on? 

 

In general, Corsair is a good choice with Tsunami for short maps.

By a PRO pass, and play Island/Arena CP. I would still buy a kit. If you play short range maps you won't need to buy Smoky M3, Freeze and Hammer should do you fine. You can get about 300k from your rank to Commander (maybe even Fieldmarshall). You have plenty of options for very good M3 kits, such as Giant, Lumberjack, Prometheus, Destroyer, Stormbringer, Maestro and Eyjafjallajökull.
