(Not including speed ups.) M1 Twins - Fully upgraded: 500k M2 Smoky - Fully upgraded: 537k M2 Hammer - Fully upgraded: 471.5k

 

That is a massive 1,237,500 crystals, just for getting an advantage over others, when good skill can get you that for free.

 

Take away about 500k crystals (being fair), since you said "almost fully upgraded". That leaves you with 737,500 crystals spent on these 3 turrets.

 

Buy a few kits, and you can get 6 M3s, for the same price. Furthermore, most people will not have been so hardcore with their saving, and would not have 550k spare, after buying an M2 turret, or kit (Unless they are buyers).

 

M3 Smoky is 268,600 crystals, and you do not even have to buy previous modifications. However, if you MU Smoky M2, not only will the initial Smoky M2 cost you 114k, but it will cost 537k to MU it. This is a total of 651k crystals.

 

Getting M3 Smoky at Marshal = 268k Getting fully MUed Smoky M2 (Same as M3) at Colonel = 651k

 

You will have spent 383k to have an advantage for 5 ranks(I don't consider 5 ranks as a "big loong chunk of ranks", although I do understand how much xp is needed to progress to the next one). And most likely, you will not have made 383k MORE crystals than you would have if you had plain old M2 Smoky.

500k for smoky for m2 to m3 isn't bad considering the difference between the rank you get m2 and m3, and i got mine at a much earlier rank, so at major if my gun shoots like m3, it's a massive advantage and also when i get to marshal i get m3 for free.

 

This is 500k from colonel to marshal, it's not a lot of crystals lol, i managed it with.

This sale I'm getting Rail M3, Ursa T-B, hopefully Titan, and either an extra turret or a paint (I'm looking at disco :wub: ). If I get a turret, Vulcan or hammer? What has less modules in use against it and is more effective for my equipment ( I will be replacing my Hunter with Viking).

No. MUs > Skill at lower ranks.

I once upgraded full M2 Twins + Titan at Captain. It was able to compete until 4 stars... and 1 to 2 ranks more with drugs.

I can also say the same with "skills". Skills do not just depend on one person but the entire team. It's possible that a complete noob with Full M2s can beat a pro M2 with a solid team.

try being a WO4 with Stinger kit . Izzy Hornet M2 was SUPER OP back then (it's still very OP if I have a pile if drugs and pair the Isida with my Dictator M2 that has 10/50 MUs .and I might buy some crystals at the next sale and then MU it to at least Match M3 Vikings armor)

Twins Mammy is probably better for both M1 and M2 since Izzy Hornet unlocks a lot earlier in both cases. I'd suggest Titan/Twins though, it doesn't have much less armor and it's faster and much more maneuverable. 

 

At M0, Twins isn't particularly good and Mammy's insufferably slow, making Izzy Hornet a better choice (you probably don't wanna be using M0s at your rank though  :P)

i was wo4 with twins m1 and hirnet m1, isida m2 was is to kill, i can either out run it in a fast hull or get a big hull with safari and isida is essentially useless, because i have unlimited firing capabilities.

true . Twins M1 can beat Isida M2 head on .but sneak up behind that Twins and wipe out half or more of his health before he notices your eleven there and he's dead titanium
