What to buy? Which is better?

This is my response to the Tanki Online Dictator versus Viking hull question I asked earlier.

 

Quick comparison disclaimer: These tank hulls are going to be tested through garage statistics, and in-game using the Zero protection module. So, with that out of the way, let's start comparing the two tank hulls.

 

Comparisons

Viking M0: Advantages; better armor and speed, less weight, smaller target. Disadvantages; less weight, less traction shorter vantage firing point, less power.

Score: -1

Dictator M0: Advantages; still more weight, far more traction, higher vantage firing point, more power. Disadvantages, more weight, less armor, less speed, larger target.

Score: 0

M0 ranks results: Dictator is the better hull.

Viking M1: same as above.

: -1

Dictator M1: same as above.

: 0

M1 ranks results: Dictator is still victorious.

Viking M2: same as above.

Score: -1

Dictator M2: same as above.

Score: 0

M2 ranks results: Yet again, Dictator is still better for use.

Viking M3: same armor as Dictator.

Score: -1

Dictator M3: same armor as Viking.

Score: 0

M3 ranks results(now Marshal to Generalissimo): Dictator wins again.

So, it turns out, after the rebalance of October, The Dictator is once again the better hull to buy.

Well, the Matrix kit is the better combo since hunter and viking switched roles. If you really like XP ( I would recommend Voltage kit since they have a new format for that combo and it is cheaper), then sure go for it. However, Fireworks kit would be more profitable.

If I can, I would definitely go for fireworks then voltage, but IMO that's very impossible

Should I get Corsair kit then Tornado kit, or Matrix Kit, M1 Firebird, then Fireworks kit. I have 21.4k crystals, and I`ll probably have 35-40k on paint sales, and probably 45-60k on turret sales, If Matrix/Corsair are on sale tell me which day to get it on. ( Don't try changing my options, it will be very hard for you )

Matrix kit, Fire M1, then Fireworks. And no, it's not impossible to get. Participate in contests. When I was your rank on my alt, I got the Fighter kit, Viking M1, Titan M1, and Fire M1 and managed to get Voltage kit. Then I managed to save up enough for Minotaur. So it's very possible.

I have 150k, and Rail M2 at 31% off costs 66k. So, I'd have 84k left, plus XP if I bought Rail (I've got Hornet M2 already). I would like XP as an extra game option, so am therefore considering Rail now.

 

My original plan was to go for Prometheus, and I'll most likely stick to that. Prometheus unlocks at Lieutenant General now (I assume) and therefore I have 210k exp remaining until then. I am not sure if my profile is a guide as to how much I will earn in that time, but if it is, I will gain 710k. I don't think this is accurate; if I wanted it to be more accurate I'd need to play more, as right now my missions are giving me a higher crystal/exp. ratio.

 

So, I should probably expect 300-500k by then, plus 84k. I don't truly need Prometheus straight away, so even if I don't have enough crystals (I'd need 495k) I would survive with Thunder M3, etc.

 

Back to my question; is there anything wrong with buying Rail M2? Please let me know if there are any obvious drawbacks with M2 vs M3 XP/BP, for example.

i think you can buy rail m2 since it opens you xp/bp and this is the best way to get crystals without using drugs... and to improve your skill as well :)

since the rebalance, only buyers are going to have m3s under lieutanant general ( i mean the ones who bought m3 before rebalance) and u might make it with only thunder.... probably MU it a bit and the other m2s you are using. thats my advice.. wait for some highr ranked's advice

before the balance an M2 combo took just 2 shots to kill a M3 combo.

Every tank was 2shot by every turret.

 

It was a clear predictable an fair gamemode, where no luck but just skill counted.

Almost every M3 players I talked to yesteday, told me he things it is unfair, that M2s have now no chance in mixed XP/BP any more.

 

pls note: I am not complaining about the reload and hull advantages

they are, but the kit cycle is random, the kits stayed with the other kits they stayed with from before, but there's no more week 1,2,3 and 4. The sets of kits just come in random

Okay ( you can tell I have not been in-game in while). In that case, just get corsair if that is the only kit available that you are interested in; m1 twins lasts a long time, so unless you are aiming for m2 twins, there is no need to buy a m2 turret ( maybe m2 hull though).

It all depends on your preference. If you prefer Twins over Thunder, get Cosair. If you like Thunder over Twins, get Matrix.

So I'm kinda stuck atm, of the hulls n turrets I enjoy using, I have m1s: railgun, thunder, hammer, firebird, m0 freeze, m1 dictator, wasp, and hornet.(All are m1s except freeze).   But after the update I'm not sure which combo is good anymore and what I should focus on to save crystals for... (pretty low since I wasted a lot when I used to play a year ago). I'm also up against quite a few fully m2 tanks at my rank, so I also need to get some m2s soon.

 

Any recommendations?

If you are not planning on buying alternations, then go for freeze or twins. If you are, firebird and thunder are great choices.

Well you can still get it.. it is a nice turret, that makes you think ahead due to the long reload time.

You also earn to aim exceletn with it.

There usually is a small number of XP/BP sandbox battles for M2's on EN2. You can learn a lot there if you are not familiar with XP/BP at the moment.. but later wehn you play vs the gismos on RU1 it still will be like a whole new world opening up.
