What to buy? Which is better?

Get Voltage. You would need to use DA or DD to kill me if you use Tornado. Hornet slides WAY too much, also. M2 Dictator is as fast as my M1 Viking and my Viking is plenty fast.

Yeah ill think of that. I thought voltage is costlier than tornado but it seems to be lesser than tornado. So ill buy it

Sparks paint being soooo expensive is why it costs more. Plus you get more hp and like you mentioned, a better hull for getting golds!

Looking at the contents alone, I'd go for Northerner.

Voltage:

  • M2 Rail is a solid turret for use at long or medium ranges. It's popular and powerful in the right hands and can be used effectively with light and medium hulls.
  • M2 Dictator is a solid hull for defense and midfielding and is cheaper than M2 Viking.
  • Electra looks nice, I guess.
  • Grizzly T-D has Smoky, Twins, and Isida protection. Good for close range protection.

Dictator-Railgun is great for gold hunting, defense, and midfielding, but Railgun is not really good for offensive use, which limits your offensive options until you acquire another M2 turret. I can push into enemy territory with a Dictator-Thunder or a Dictator-Ricochet, but I can't really do that with Railgun. If you like to play aggressively instead of staying at the sidelines, this is not a very good combination.

Northerner:

  • M2 Smoky is fantastic. It's hands down one of the best M2s due to its ability to 4-shot light hulls, and can be used with nearly any hull on a wide variety of maps. Good for offense, midfielding, and defense.
  • M2 Viking is widely considered to be the best M2 medium hull. Versatile with good stats.
  • Winter is not particularly stunningf, but it's of some use on winter maps.
  • Kodiak T-E has Isida, Thunder, and Shaft protection. Versatile and useful at Smoky's engagement distances.

The combo itself is a powerful combination for all roles, most maps, and nearly any game mode. The components themselves are versatile and useful on their own, so this is in my opinion one of the best M2 kits.

The downside of Northerner is that it unlocks at Captain, which is a long way from Warrant Officer 5. If you don't plan on using M1s all the way until there (not recommended), you will need to get some other M2s along the way. If you're still set on getting a kit, Voltage would be a good choice, but I would recommend looking at the other Dictator kits available too. Anaconda and Boar are somewhat more flexible, and Boar in particular is good for aggressive use. If you're willing to wait until the next rank, Simoom is in my opinion the most flexible of the M2 Dictator kits. So yeah, weigh your options. :)

Thank you for all the advice! I dont really need a certain set up for flag capping. just DA and speed bost do it for me. Heck I dont take a shot, I just run and it works! I come out of the blue and am gone before you know it, plus M2 Dic is a STRONG hull, plus i get drugs when i buy it so i can just repair :D Also, the facts you have stated is why i dont know if i should risk taking the Voltage kit. Northerner can wreck anything. I know it, I saw ONE. He had a 23.5 k/d on Red Alert CTF

Two kits I want really badly. I can get Voltage with M2 Dictator and M2 Railgun, I just need 27k more crystals and to wait for it to show up in the garage, or should I wait to get Northerner with M2 Viking and M2 Smoky. I'm good with Rail and Dic, but my best combo is Viking/Smoky, but to use M1s till the Captain Rank...I have only HALF the needed xp

Both are full M2 kits. I really WANT Northerner, but I NEED to get M2s. This is basically a want vs. need thing.

I'm pretty good with Railgun (still working on accuracy though) and I use that and Dictator on a lower account, but haven't used them together. I'm good with Dictator...even though it won't drift like Viking, the M2 is 0.01 slower so I'm not really missing out on speed. Vs my Viking M1 I will get more hp, but vs. M2 Viking I get less hp with M2 Dictator.

I see lots of pros and cons of getting Voltage...but I don't want to have to wait to double my xp to get Northerner which I'd love to get.

What do you guys think I should do? Take my chances with Voltage or wait and be endlessly wrecked to get Northerner?

Hello Tankers!

I had an question that what kit should I buy? I don't know which kit is better for me in this rank? The kit are shown in shop for me are Fighter, Corsair and Matrix.

Corsair = M1 Viking and M1 Twins.

Matrix = M1 Viking and M1 thunder.

Fighter = M1 Hornet and M1 Twins.

Please let me know what should I buy. This will be a great help.

You should already have an m1 hull and turret by now, so i'd say stick with those and save for Centaur kit (M2 Viking and M2 Twins)

My alternate has Fire-Wasp M1. Should I buy Railgun M1 (Keep in mind I'm a strong Railgun user), then buy a kit like Firebolt, Fireworks, Pitbull, or Annihilator? On the other hand, I can go from my WO1 all the way up to WO5 using the missions-only tactic, then buy Fireworks (My original plan), then buy Mosquito. Lastly, I will most definitely end with the Bumblebee kit. Please leave your comments on either plan, or give a suggestion of what to change.

My second account, @NotANewb, is currently on the 31st step of it's MU process of Smoky. I plan to have M2 Smoky at the early rank of WO5. I will proceed to buy Firebolt kit, then I will end with Ghost. Suggestions are appreciated.

I have 50k crystals right now. I want to either buy voltage(M2 and M2 dictator) or tornado(M2 Rail and M2 hornet). I figured out, that if there are sales on Christmas, either 50% off kits or 50% turrets and Hulls, I need to have at least 110k cry by Christmas. That would mean getting 60k crystals in 30 days, which amounts to 2k crystals everyday, which is something I can accomplish.

If I buy voltage, I would save up for a few more ranks and buy northerner, because I like thunder, rail and smoky and hammer. Any suggestions for this path of action? With this path I would end up with 4 m2s (Viking and smoky, Rail and hornet) and I would spend 131,160+193,020=324,180(I think). After that I would go on to buy Raiden (m3 thunder m3 Viking) Again, suggestions are welcome.

If I buy tornado, I would save up for M2 thunder next and then save up for a m3 kit, probably Bumblebee(m3 hammer and m3 hornet). That would leave me with 3 m2s (hornet, smoky and Rail) and it would cost about 164,185+110,500=274,685.

Keep in mind that I would try to only buy the items on sales, such as Christmas and Tankis Birthday. Please help me decide.

Disclaimer, the total amounts of crystals could change if I bought the items on sales, such as a 50% sale on kits.

I don't think a discount on kits has ever taken place... only the items inside of them. In my opinion, rather than saving up for Tornado, I would wait the next 5 ranks and instead get a much better kit, Mosquito. Unless you prefer Hornet. (M2) But Hornet has less HP than Wasp, which is why I still prefer Wasp over Hornet.

In your situation, I'd save for a cheap M2 kit to survive the mid-ranks (Avalanche, maybe?), then go on to buy Mosquito. I'd then follow up to buy Bumblebee. By the way, Christmas is usually 30-40% off Turrets, Hulls, and Paints (Modules, too, now?). I'd wait for TO's birthday, but it's an awful long time up till then.

I thought about mosquito, and I could go that way, I want wasp over hornet, just I don't know if I can make it with only m1s...

Mosquito here I come

If you like a more cautious type of attacking/sniping, go for Legend. If you like mid-range support and all-out attacking, get Man-o-War.

what you suggestion

It depends on your play style... But, if you want to buy Legend kit, I would suggest instead, buy Touche. Wasp's extra speed helps a lot. Also, it seems that you use your Railgun more than your Thunder, so that would cause me to lean towards Touche/Legend.
