I, like Musa, main Hammer, but almost never damage myself except in parkour. Not to offend in any way, but once you get good with Hammer, you learn to control the ricochet.

agreed, I used hammer M2 for awhile until they made the turning speed and reload so bad. It's actually after that that I got Ram and made twins my main turret. But yeah I agree that once you use Hammer enough the ricochet is hardly noticable as far as self damaging

This decision has been haunting me for a while now and I'm not even exaggerating. I just became major general and have about 150k crystals and I want to save enough to buy the touche kit from the garage. But the thing is that I play a lot of island and polygon with twins m2 / fire m2 and I don't have a protection module, so I'm basically useless for any team with this rank. So the question is should I start saving for touche kit now or make a protection module the priority?(Firebird, Twins, Freeze) I also have the railgun alteration which increases the minimum and maximum damage of railgun by 40%. Can I even get 300k about the time I rankup to lieutenant general?

I think you should save. You can save upto 300K till next rank.

You should most certainly start saving for an M3 kit immediately. I would say forget about the protection module and grind with your current combo until you have enough crystals.

 

Also, are you sure Touche is the right choice? Since you already have a combo for XP/BP, M3 doesn't make too much difference in XP/BP.

 

You're approaching M3 ranks and soon it will be impossible to play using an M2 combo. IMO you should buy a more useful kit than Touche that you could use in alot of different maps and modes.

For example: I started saving for my first M3 kit 4 ranks before it unlocked. Also don't forget newspaper contests and the Tanki Thinking Challenge, both of these helped me immensely in the mid-ranks.

Common sense; there will be more sale on Halloween than just 30%, so wait for it.

Buy an M1 combo on Halloween sale, this way you will save alot of crystals ....

 

But if you need a module and paint too then look for a good kit.

 

BTW it depends on sale that how much it will on Halloween. If there is no good sale like 40-50%, then go for a kit.

lol there will be sale definitely. Halloween is a big celebration, without sales it can't be done. This 30% sale is like monthly sale which is coming almost every month in 2017.

You mentioned Polygon and Island so Master of the taiga (Twins/Viking), Medic (Isida/Viking) or Cardinal (Twins/Titan) would be good choices. Whats your favorite turret and what other maps do you see yourself playing?

 

Some things to consider are:

• What size maps do you prefer? (Viking is good for most maps and and Titan is better for small ones)
• Will you soon become bored of playing Polygon & Island? (I did  :P)
• What turret do you think works best on maps you see yourself playing?

I prefer Viking due to it's extra speed though the drifting effect is annoying. It's certainly not a waste of time, just a matter of preference.
