What to buy? Which is better?

I plan to buy Firefly (Fire+Wasp) on my alt, is it good for Polygon? Any other map recommendations?

I like Sandbox too. This kit will be used for pro battles mostly.

I don't have experience with Firefly, but i bought the savage(wasp+smoky) kit. It was a great choice to buy that kit, Savage kit isn't expensive and smoky is a great weapon. I think Firefly will work out good in Polygon, but in the most maps it will work out well on the low ranks. I would prefer with firefly to small-mediums maps.

Wasp/Smoky or Rail is good combo :p especially in low ranks.

Exactly, the main reason people complain that striker is too difficult is that they always try to get a salvo. Remember that salvo is the secondary shooting mode of striker ( like how arcade shot of shaft is secondary).

no doubt rico is better in its effective range (short-mid) against striker but striker has the advantage when it comes to range (mid-long)

DPS looks great on paper - but how it is executed is another thing.

Thunder rarely misses since the shots travel instantly.  No need to lead target (well maybe a hornet on speed - but good like striker on that).

For Magnum - they should be using their best advantage - hitting targets from behind cover. A team in Lost City without Magnum is a team that will lose.

 

I still need more practice with Striker but one of main weaknesses is no auto-aim.  Rough terrain can cause lots of misses. Massacre is a real challenge.

definitely bro, you are right but as they say, no pain no gain. every advantage is countered by some other disadvantage. in the case of striker it is difficulty ( no doubt far more than thunder ). but lots of people flock to railgun which is equally if not more difficult. Every turret also has ITS maps.

 

in the end, it depends on where YOU wish to compromise, I respect your views and wish you best of luck!!!

Ranked :D but still this time no boar :(

I bought titan with the sale it is great, but need to learn the tank :p I played some DM battles with it and sometimes it worked well, I got first. Also got some golds :) But should i wait till third lieutenant and get a better kit than boar or should I buy boar the next time it appears in the garage?

 I know dictator m2 is t r a s h so I will microupgrade it to remain decent. HOWEVER, I am hearing things that even dictator m3 is trash. If that is the case I will be forced to buy tornado kit, which is fine but I don't like light hulls or wait until I rank later and it has been taking me a long time to rank.

 

So to sum it up,

 

1. Is dictator m3 trash?

 

2. Is dictator m4 trash?

 

3. Should I get tornado kit?

 

3. Should I just skip boar and wait until 3rd lieutenant?

dictator at any modification is actually very good if you use it properly. because of it's height you can rock it and shoot at the correct moment to hit your enemy at the correct vertical angle and knock them where you want to. it is especially good if you use it with railgun, ricochet or thunder but not good with shaft.

Just wanted to say thanks to those who gave their opinion on what I should buy. Ricochet is fantastic, even at M2. I purchased the Minus Field Stabilization alteration today and it's great. Can't wait to see what it's like at 9/10 ^.^

Dictator isn't trash. Dictator and hunter have the highest power rating out of all of the hulls. My M2 dictator with no microupgrades has over 1000 more "power" than my M4 viking...

 

Vulcan M3 is also very good with not many protections against it... just a thought.

In medium range maps i would use thunder or smoky but twins is also good on these maps and the increased range could be very useful.
