What to buy? Which is better?

So New Year's is coming soon, and I am close to ranking (6k left). I estimate I will have 80k-100k crystals by the time sales come. Currently I can't say any of my turrets are particularly powerful. I rather like Firebird and overall it is decent, but I have to get in close which is frustrating on many maps. I am considering doing something with Railgun, either MU it to M3 or buy the high caliber alt. What would be the best course of action? Which M2s should I MU (I have Smoky, Firebird, Twins, Railgun, Vulcan, Isida), if any? Or should I try to scrape up enough crystals to buy a kit at Lieutenant General? Should I buy any alterations? Note that I have Viking M2 fully MU'd already.

I'm Lt Gen. Got Prometheus and Legend kits.

M3s turrets: Rail (3/20), Fire (3/20), Smoky (MUed for free from V-Log contest)

M2 turrets: Thunder, Freeze, Ricochet

M3 Hulls: Hornet (3/20), Hunter (3/20)

No M2 Hulls

M3 Modules: Griffon T-A (Thunder, Rail, Shaft), Badger T-F M3 (Fire, Freeze, Twins), both 3/15

590k crystals. Plenty of supplies.

3 options: M4 my current stuff. Buy another kit - preferably with a heavy hull, probably Cardinal/Rockshaper. Buy something else.

Opinions?

I would suggest getting Ursa T-H (Magnum, Rico, Isida) and you would really want a module against those.

Thats also the best Magnum module in my opinion, and magnum protection is a must nowadays.

I am also going to be getting that module in the Christmas sales.

You would also want something better than smoky to use as a medium range turret. Smoky is incredibly weak at m3 compared to the other m3s, but the plasma turrets are very strong.

I would recommend Cardinal, but the module in there is long range and you already have one of those.

Hence, I think you should go for Rock Climber:

The titan will work great with your smoky or the rico,

the rico will work great with your hunter

and the module is Twins Isida Vulcan

only twins is overlapping with your other modules, and considering the strength of twins, thats not a bad thing.

Overall suggestion : Get the module on a sale, Buy the kit and plough any remaining crystals into MUs

To be honest, at your rank, I kinda just accepted that I was always gonna be against M3s and my equipment would be weak. What I did, was to just continue saving, and I got 2 M3 kits within 2 days of ranking up to Lt Gen, and I do not regret it in the slightest.

should i buy magnum m2 cause i have 144k crystal  or to save ?

Get a m2 kit like stinger or avalanche, or save your crystals for a sale when you can buy 3 m2s of your choice on a 50% sale with 150k.

You have more than enough m2s.

I am surprised you are still thinking about m2s when Lt Gen is right around the corner.

Save for a m3 kit at Lt Gen, and in the Lt Gen and General ranks, MU your best m2 to m3 so you can get it at Marshal.

Its good that you already have m3 viking and 100k, but earning another 200-300k in one rank will be a push, especially since you are so close to rankign up.

Vulcan m2 I heard and believe is terrible. Even m3 is terrible. I just got ricochet m2, and all I have to say is, GET IT! (How do you have such a good k/d? I used more supplies than you yet you have a better k/d and you look like you also used twins)

Lol. I also use striker m1 as well, it actually does an average damage output like a thunder at an average range imo, but it doesn't lose its damage at long ranges like thunder, and it reloads quicker so I can take out many enemies at good range/flee at the same time. and like NOBODY has striker resistance so, its just a field day

You can't dodge a Thunder shot though.  If enemy aware, at long range the missile can be avoided. And it has no auto-aim.

true . Striker is a laugh at long range unless it can get a lock on you, but he does have a point. it doesn't lose damage over range and prot against it is rare while Thunder prot is everywhere

Disclaimer: I only use Titan and Twins on this account.

1. For the upcoming holiday sales, should I get M1 Twins and M1.5 Titan (5/10 MU's) or just get Twins M1 and keep saving up for "Ram" (Twins M2, Titan M2, Rhino, Grizzly T-F M2)?

2. Likewise, which module(s) is/are best paired with Twins and Titan on Polygon, Island, Arena, and other short/mid range maps? I would prefer to stick with one strong module if possible. (What are the 3 biggest enemies to a Twins + Titan?)

3. Should I buy any modules at M0, M1, or M2? I need some insight on how to progress with protection as I continue to rank up.

4. Also, if I buy a module, will the next modification be available at the same price as if I didn't buy the same module with the lower modification? (I.e., I buy M1 Badger T-H for 30,000 crystals. Will it stay M1 when I have M3's? Will I need to upgrade it to M3 for 250,000 crystals, or is it cheaper?)

Thanks

You won't be getting Ram any time soon. No, modules of one modification do not affect the prices of the next modification, nor do they upgrade automatically. An M3 module will always cost 250k, and an M1 module will always stay in your garage even if you buy the same module of the next modification.

No, im pretty sure you lose the m1 version of the module. Why would you want it anyway?

If i had a m1 Badger T-A and i bought a m3 Badger T-A i will lose the m1 Badger T-A

MUing m2s to m3 shouldve started in the lieutenant ranks.

If you dont have significant progress (5 or more MUs) on anything other than viking, it is too late to start now.

I checked your garage... You currently have Rail m0 and no good m1 hulls, so its best to save up and buy the Hero kit. I would not recommend you to MU dictator m1/ Railgun m1 because they are pretty weak at m2. Voltage kit is a waste of crystals to be honest, railgun m2 and dictator m2 aren't good m2's at all. Instead, buy railgun m2 and hornet m2 separately later on if you want to play xp/bp battles.

I have 54000 cry's

Well considering I got my Viking to M3 in about one rank (half of which was before the update that made MUs cheap) I think it's possible.

Yeah but did you have a large stockpile of crystals to do those MUs?

You will have, maybe, 120k after ranking up? Full MU without rankup costs about 220k-240k. Earning 100k in one rank is totally possible, but it will mean that you definetely wont have enough crystals for a m3 kit.

IMHO m3 kit > full MU m2

Depends on your playstyle and map choices, they are completely different turrets.

Judging from strength at m2, considering I have all of them Id rank them like this :

Firebird>Ricochet>Railgun

If you play small maps e.g. Polygon,Island,Arena, buy Firebird

If you play medium maps, buy Ricochet

If you want to play xp/bp or play on long range maps, buy Railgun

Which modules are best for using Twins and Titan?

Best for M1?

Best for M2?

Best for M3?

If you are playing in small maps Badger T-H / Lion T-D are great protections, But if you are playing in mid/long-range maps then you should try Ursa T-G or Griffon T-F.

Find any module you want here.

I do not know about modules and at your rank and mine it is no biggie. 1. You can keep on upgrading titan but don't get twins m1. I made the same mistake on this account. I got twins m1. Get ricochet m1. I also got ricochet and the change is different but you can also do it. The biggest enemies to twins titan is a freeze, firebird, and a long range boy.

I don't want to get Badger T-H quite yet because I want to have it at the M3 modification, so which modules do you think are good at a low rank or until ? (can be a duo or trio)

P.S.

I will want to play mainly on short and medium range maps.

I only want to have one combo on this account: Twins + Titan

Do you think it's better to upgrade my Titan during sales or stick with stock M1 Titan and Twins until I can afford Ram?

Based on what you're saying, my best overall module would be 24px-Firebird_mod.png  24px-Thunder_mod.png  24px-Freeze_mod.png Badger T-D ? Keep in mind, I play on short/medium range maps.
