What to buy? Which is better?

Recommended Posts

Guys, I buy Viking/Hunter M1 at XMas sales, so after it  I save for a full M2 kitb or buy another thing like Twins or Rico?

Pick your best, but if you're equally good with all, favorite combination and only use that. It's also the best way to get M3+ the fastest and improve your skills.

You are going to want more than 1 combo in your garage.  If you only have 1 turret and run into someone with 35%+ protection you are baked.

Plus not all turrets run at same efficiency on all maps.  So 1 turret = limited playability.  Plus somewhat boring.

Excluding the Isida, although it'll still be boring.

Even in dying teams you can still squeeze way more crystals out of the match than every other turret.

Isida's can do everything anywhere and get away with tons of XP, thus crystals.

1. Not everyone will have protection against the same turret in most battles. Otherwise, in a team battle, team members can look at their opponents' protections and equip accordingly.

2. Exactly right, not all turrets run at the same efficiency on all maps. That's why you can play on your favorite maps. Limited playability makes for more efficiency, even if less versatile, based on playing style. On a side note, team battles allow you to have more specific roles in the battle. That's what makes stronger gameplay. (For example in CTF: Twins and Mammoth defending flag, Shaft and Titan sniping enemies, Hammer and Viking hunting the flag, Isida and Hunter following the flag carrier/healing teammates, Smoky and Dictator mid-fielding, Freeze and Wasp distracting and slowing down tanks at enemy base, etc.) Likewise, an experienced player with an M4 combo, even if there are multiple players with strong protection against their weapon, will almost always be valuable in a team battle and especially in DM matches.

Ok guys, i decided not to get a kit and instead mu one m2 turret up to m3. If you had to choose one m3 turret that you feel is very good,  what would you choose?

Edit: I don't often use drugs.

1. True - but you are helpless when you are up against those protections - nothing in garage to switch to.

2.  When match-making comes back you will not get to choose maps. So it will be frustrating to end up in an undesired map (based on turret) and need to exit and try again.

Ricco is versatile and can hold it's own.  Isida is good at getting scores (but in team games you need mates to not die in one shot - else no healing)

Ricochet goes well everywhere and it's pretty strong overall, I'd upgrade it.

What do you mean "when match-making comes back"? There's an option to select your battles. Also, someone recommended that I only pick one combo to use and try to get it to M4. She only uses isida and hunter because she deeme it "a hidden gem." I've also seen other players who only use one combo: one with mammoth and isida, the other with smoky and hunter. Is there a better alternative to this method? Share it.

Mammoth-Isida? :P :D   Riddler?

When matchmaking comes back you will NOT be able to select maps to do normal battles = missions.  You will select battle mode CTF/TDM/DM/CP and system will place you in a battle that currently has open spots, or select a random map for you to start a new battle.

You will only be able to select maps from battle list to do Custom battles = NO misions.

If you just stick with one turret to M4, you will be at mercy of anyone with the M3 module protecting against your turret.  M3 - M4 is ~ +13% dmg. A stock M3 module gives 35% minimum protection.  Many have 45-50% protection.  +13% vs inability to swap away from 40-50% protection does not sound good to me.

Pick 1-2 hulls and 1-2 turrets per m-level.  Get a feel for the diff items. Gives flexibility and experience.

Then decide on your goal for first M3 - either a turret/hull on sale at unlock, or a kit to get early unlock.

Upgrade that a bit but before you go gung-ho on MUs then make sure you have...

1) another combo due to reasons above

2) Some protection modules - you wont survive upper ranks without them.

If you play long-range maps magnum is beast.

yah i like all this three turrets equally and i do play long-range maps but the thing is i use the guess-and-check method for magnum and after a battle i wont get a lot of kills so i rank up slower but i am also not real good at using the other turrets as well .... stucked in a dilemma sry i forgot to edit Edited by SiLEnCeR.T0

Why not?

Here, I'll change the list:

Griffon T-C

Griffon T-A

Compact Tanks

Magnum M3

Striker M3

MU’s on Titan

MU’s on Railgun

because triple modules give the same amount of protection from 3 turrets at once.

compact tanks is very good...

why did you suggest stuff that cost more than 100k on a 50% off sale if your budget is 100k?  :P

You're right. I can't afford triple modules. Double modules are cheaper and can still make a difference in battles. I don't know.

As you didn't mention anything about Magnum or Striker, I think I'll get Compact Tanks. Do you think it's also worth putting some MU's into my Titan or just saving up for a trio module to get on a sale? I can't figure out what do with my crystals at this point if people say MU's are pointless now. Supplies maybe?

I think triple modules are way better. at 50% off sale they cost just 125k, I'm sure you can easily make 25k by chrismas. The only reason i didn't say anything about striker and magnum is because they're above your budget too  :P .

I'd suggest getting griffon TA and MU the first 2 steps...

but if you can't get 25k more by chrismas then just get compact tanks and MU railgun and titan 1 step each... then save up for a triple module.

and I'm pretty sure you will get that 25k... you've made 5k this week from battles and 3k from goldboxes...  this doesn't include crystals from missions... and chrismas is a month away

I have 45k crystals right now, and I'm close to ranking up, which would give me 40k crystals. That means I'd be somewhere around 100k by the time I rank up. That will happen in probably a week and a half from now, and that means I'll have two weeks to make that 25k in time for sales. I'll buy whatever works depending on the discount percentages.

Here are my options:

1. Griffon T-A, 2 micro-upgrades

2. Compact Tanks, 1 micro-upgrade for both Railgun M3 and Titan M3, save up for triple module/Griffon T-A

3. Magnum M3

4. Striker M3

5. Shaft M3

Which options are the best, and rank each from most to least beneficial?
