What to buy? Which is better?

So I'm looking at my smoky in the garage... and he's just eating dust. He is around 13 or 14/20. 

 

The other day i rented the m2 alt, and I just loved it! Without alts, smoky seems a waste of a turret. 

 

So on sales this christmas I'm gonna upgrade him a bit, and I was looking at the alts and wondering.

 

I;m def giving him m2 alt, but what about m1? Does that take away the critical hit altogether? making m2 alt less useful when paired together? 

 

Do people at m4 use both, just m1 alt, or just m2 alt? Can I get some insights for this gameplay with smoky.

 

I pair it with titan m4, or viking m4. Thats what I have.

I was reluctant to buy the M1 alt until our seasoned smoky player @LittleWillie convinced me of the idea, i've no problems with it so far although i don't use it very often.

It's a worthy alt. and i don't regret it and at the end of the day it costs merely 50k so its not a big deal.

if i do get it, its at christmas on sale hopefully = 25k and ok ill get it.

Which is the best option for me (or universally)?

 

 

 

I play (in order from most to least often): CP, CTF, TDM, DM.

I play on these maps mostly: Polygon, Arena, Island, Hill, Rio, Iran, Noise, Barda.

I use these turrets (in order from most to least often): Isida, Hammer, Railgun, Twins, Firebird, Thunder, Smoky, Freeze, Ricochet, Vulcan

I use these hulls (in order from most to least often): Viking, Titan, Wasp

 

 

 

I will obviously only buy these things during sales:

Griffon T-B and 2 MU's

Compact Tanks and MU's on Titan and Railgun

Kodiak T-G and 2 MU's

Magnum M3

Striker M3

 

Please pick one of the options or make ANY suggestions, but beware of my 125k crystal budget.

i think a general opinion now is that striker m3 is not very good. 

 

whereas magnum m3 is very good. so that seems to me like an option for you. but i think it can be a difficult turret to use, but with time I'm sure anyone can get it. i tried it on lower account, didnt really like it but i mean, if i had stuck with it maybe

 

and again, for protections. i feel a turret is overall better investment at least in this stage of my current tank time. 

 

a turret and its upgrades towards m4 hurt everyone. whereas a protection and its mu s only help you against turrets of those protection. so an m3 magnum with mu's helps vs everyone you will ever play.

 

whereas a protection of fire rail thunder m3 with mu s up to m4 will only help you against other fires, rails, and thunders. Admittedly having protection against something is useful. But for now.. I only have 4 - 5 valid protections. And only 2 see large playing time, 2 see almost none. I have a twins rico and hammer protect that is in the middle, i don't use it the most often, but sometimes will when twins hammers ricos are heavy. 

 

So for you, I'd either pick compact tanks with titan and railgun mu's

 

or magnum.

So you say: Don't go for bp but a good kit in normal battles? But what I experienced that a wasp fire m2 can kill a dic/rico m2. When they are both on full health, it was a suprising fact for me. That is also why I think I wanna go for the firebolt kit ;)

Wasp-Fire M2 are both at quite a high level of modification already, whereas Dictator-Ricochet M2 comes out way earlier and is weaker, unless microupgraded. If you have enough crystals and skill to play wasp-fire, then you should definitely go for it. But do try to start saving up early for m3 kit as well, saving 300+ crystals at one go is a bit hard if one isn't patient xD, or maybe that's just me that is too impatient.

Rico ,  no doubt about it . very versatile so on later date when the games you like might change the rico can do everything you throw at it . While the hammer is strong at close range , but thats it .

If u won for 4 weeks, u'll get around 40k in a month. It depends. IMO, you should consider winning it. What's more important is to complete missions to get weekly rewards.

Vulcan is very good , rico and twins are better .

I am a vulcan user from marchal and i regret not getting it sooner . Ive done all my ranks before with thunder and the vulcan is much better ( for me ) . I did try before on new account since i needed to try before buying m3 , and it was a breeze running though the ranks . Since my main weapon is m4 vulcan now , on other i do not play it as much on the lower 1 , i do the rico m2 4/10 ( same like the vulcan btw ) , and depending from map to map , it depends which 1 is better . The rico is a great killer but so is the vulcan , rico might be a bit easier to use , littlebit more versatile and in m2 lvl not so much modules around ( different in m3/4 lvl !! ) . A vulcan is a beast when used correct , meaning lock your target from good distance and keep shooting it down . The rico is more straightforward , high damage, you got like 15 shots before you run out but thats allready more then 1 enemy .

 

In general , depending on map to map and playstyle , the rico can do everything and goes well with every hull , so that 1 gets my vote . If you like smaller maps , then its the twins , since it has got unlimited shots , really strong  and is just a bit better on smaller maps then the rico . On in order for strongest m2's rico / twins / vulcan . What did i leave out ... smoky , if you like it .... nothing m0/1 but m2/3 very strong but you need to aim correct , all there falls or stands with the good aim .

Shaft , no ... i know many good shaft players and they got very good KD ratios but they left it behind them in m3 lvl , just for the basic fact of fun in the game . Its camping ... nothing more then camping . always stay in hide , never attack . As 2nd weapon , why not , but choose 1 no shaft .

Should be good ... viking vulcan ... this can go a long way . I know the vulcan isnt the most popular gun , i've not seen many of them unless high in m2 ranks , and then it always was killing me ( time before the magnum entered the game or around there ) . Then it struck me , Especially when the map is a bit open , he locks on you and you see your health running down , and before you notice it , and can dive away , you are death . Individual shots are nothing , its the 1 second or more where you get a salvo of shots on you that kills you .If someone want to see m2 or m4 against me to see it , send pm and invite ... ill show up with the m2 or m3/4 according .

yea, it maybe good for viking vulcan, but when i was too younger (low rank  :D ) i used to buy twins and upgrade it , with viking its a good choice
