Best gun for super low ranks (Gefreiter-Master Sergeant) is freeze. Best used with wasp, freeze m0 is really good for confusing the newbies and getting some easy kills, as well as capturing flags. Freeze and smoky are my personal favorite m0 guns for low ranks.

Also, Keeper kit at low rank = Boss

If you MU M1 Wasp to M2, it keeps the speed stats of M2, but stays with the weight on M1 in parkour mode.

you don't need another M2 , MU one of your combos to M3 instead ,

I want to minimize the number of m2s I buy because I want to save as much as I can for an m3 kit, and it'll lessen the value of a kit if I upgrade from an m2 combo instead of an m0 combo. I'll MU Thunder and Viking to m3 for mid-range, but I really want to get an m2 attacking turret too. I was considering Hammer; should I get it, and the m2 drum magazine alteration? I would've chosen Twins, but it'll take longer to kill someone than Hammer, where it's better for swift flag steals, since you want to get out of the enemy base ASAP.

 

I play mostly medium to medium-large maps, so you could argue that Hammer is useless for me, but in reality, A LOT of combat in Tanki takes place close(ish) range. The high HP of hulls, protection modules and map design support it. There aren't many (practical) long lines of sight in this game, and most of the time a Vulcan/Rail/Shaft would be guarding it so it's hopeless to take that path anyway.

Out of your equipment I would MU smoky, its beastly at m2. However, dont do that unless you are sure you will have enough crystals to buy Annihilator when you get there (or are a buyer :P)

At this rate im convinced that ill have 800-950k by the time I rank. I already plan on getting jackhammer but then ill have like 400k crystals left. What should I spend those 400k on?

MU Jackhammer to M4 ASAP. Focus on the Hammer first. AFAIK, M3s are seriously outperformed by M4s.

M4 is over-rated after the tweaks they made to M3.  The stock difference is 13-14%.  Not huge at all. And MU-ing past 10/20 so early is diminishing returns - those last 10 steps get exponentially expensive.

 

Better to MU part-way and ensure multiple M3 turrets for flexibility against M3 protections of 35%+.

 

You eventually want M4, but not that crucial until most of your opponents are Legends.

why do you need so many M2s ? 

however M2 fire is great for Pro battles and DM but you need the alteration

M2 rail but you also need the alteration and you will have to buy M2 hornet as well if you want to play XP/BP
