I’m a captain now and you guys told me to micro upgrade my stuff only in sales. Once I finish micro upgrading these things, i most likely still won’t be at m3 or even m3 kit unlock ranks. So can I buy other M2 turrets and hulls on sale after I’ve fully MUed the simoom kit to m3, because more turrets/hulls=more flexibility.

Depends - if you have enough crystals, go for it. But wouldn't you want to save up for a more flexible set of M3s?

I can probably save up enough crystals for an m3 kit in 3 or 4 weeks. Also, it takes ages to rank up to m3 rank so isn’t it better in the meantime to get more m2s.

Hunter is ugly? Ha, look at Viking M2. You call this a killing machine? I say it looks more like a toy. Having less than 50% of the tank covered with metal plates really makes it look like M1. Its XT looks trash too. Don't try to bring in the overdrive argument, too, because all it takes is my faster-charging EMP to annihilate you multiple times.

 

And I'd much rather die than admit Viking is better.

 

Short-bands lately provide even better value. Thanks to the RFM nerf, they're now more viable to secure those kills.

 

And don't be that cheap guy who uses the Viking OD. Please.

 

Higher weight = more stability = what you need for these turrets. The math doesn't lie.

Who cares about beauty when having good results from the hull or turret the player uses? That's why I bought Minotaur kit on @niki1232 rather than chiropractor, fortress or whatever else? XT's are just skins, and they are pure cosmetics. About overdrives, they're still not with fixed parameters. Their value is still floating. About the M1 stage, yes, viking is weaker, but it's unlocked much earlier than Hunter. Plus, Viking is wayyy stronger with freeze( look at @niki1232 ). I played there and I tell you, I was very good at getting the kills and the points. Also, about the plates, Have you seen a dark metal plate on hunter or dictator? No. Plus, viking has better stats(I'm talking about m2 0/10 stats). How wouldn't you use a hull having ~100 health more and way faster than one of its relatives?!!  Plus, current viking stats fit much better for chasing players, than current hunter's stats.

You both bring up very good points, and I'm not taking sides here :)  But as TB says the OD's due make a difference.  Hunter's OD immobilizes you and your a sitting duck.  I'm a Viking/Thunder user and in close range battles the OD is ineffective because you blow yourself up. Not good!  You have to use the OD for mid to long range only, but it is OP.  I can get 4-5 kills in 7 secs easy, so I pick my spots (sorry TB I am that cheap guy, lol).

 

I'm still on the fence about Hunter (which I have M2 5/10) but it might be the better choice as far as Shaft goes. 

1) Viking can't get thru tight spaces

2) You ever try shooting over a wall with Viking?  Not happening, too low profile.

3) Hunter is more stable when moving.

4) Hunter's OD EMP is sick!

Let me retaliate. I am a Shaft user at heart. Viking is easily the noob's hull of choice: high health, good speed - what else would they ask for? Plus, the new OD is so cool, right?

 

Wrong. You see, I think of Vikings as cheap people because they use the single most OP thing in the game. I hate exploiters of many forms, but this gets my blood boiling more than ever. I become the Juggernaut and 10 seconds later, some Viking-Thunder just beats the hell out of me? I'd rather have a matchup with an M4 Striker!!

 

Hunter's key strength is in that is suits Shaft more. Having higher stability, weight, and more contollable turns, you won't be thrown off your aim that easily. Viking has terrible drift, too. It's simply uncontrollable with Speed Boost.

 

Twins? You really gonna go down that route?

 

I don't care if Viking's stats are stronger - Hunter gives you a challenge, and rewards you for it. I have no satisfaction with Viking whatsoever, just disgust.

It's good to see that at least some Viking players have a conscience(no offense to you) . I'm glad that you do  :)

 

M2 6/10 is where Hunter starts getting really good. Just wait..

the problem is that this kit contains Dictator М1, Vulcan М1,

Corrosion, Shark M1 and I already have Dictator M1...

so if i buy the kit by paying the full amount..

will i get some kind of refund for the dictator M1...if yes...how much?

No you wont get a reduced price , you’ll waste crystals by buying that kit.

 

Instead U could just collect crystals and rank up to WO 5 and get the anaconda kit which has the same equipment in exterminater(only a different paint, python )except it’s M2.

 

It’s about 160k but worth because Vulcan is excellent at any m2 rank and getting m2 dictator is also a good bargain in wo 5.

Oh no..... Dolphin and Panther modules are common. But Atlas can be darn terrifying. M2 can wreck havoc within your rank bracket.

Hornet-Grom can wreck havoc to any tankers who are wearing M4 Grizzly when OD is active. With Sledgehammer.... time to dominate battle after battle!

striker wins by a huge margin. forget thunder, its a cheap turret which barely requires skill and self damage is trash as well

I wouldn't plan on buying m2 striker unless you also plan to buy m2 hunter.

 

And the reason why is because striker requires a stable hull for it to perform at its best. And Viking isn't stable, but hunter is.

 

Thunder and smoky are more forgiving because their shots are instant hit. But even they too will perform better on an actual stable hull.

With viking would thunder work fine? I see many strikers in JGR mode using striker and getting top scores. Do u think striker will still work with viking? I don't plan on buying hunter, but I think I will be ok with viking.

Well, did you say your current M2s were almost M3? If you can have enough crystals to MU your current pair, get another kit, then MU that, then get an M3 kit and MU that, go ahead... but then you're stuck with 1 M3 kit when the time comes for lack of crystals. I think you should stick with your current M2s, MU them to M3, then get an M3 kit and get a head start MUing that. Then you get two M3 pairs, one of which is being MUed to M4. It still takes a lot of crystals, but saves you some.

Meh, forget it. That kit won't do you good at WO4. Just save up and get Anaconda. It's a waste to get one turret for the price of the whole kit (especially an M1 at WO4), unless you really need to get the prots, in which case just buy the M2 kit.
