What to buy? Which is better?

 Share

Recommended Posts

I need help with my own dilemma: buying Dolphin or Owl.

Personally, I'd rather not give Gauss players easy kills just because I was too close to a targeted teammate.  I also want to better even my odds against high K/D Gauss players wreaking havoc on vulnerable tanks.

Still, I'm well aware how lethal Smoky can be in battle thanks to its combination of Good damage, good reload, deadly critical hits, and annoying Alteration effects.

So which one should I get first?  Thank in advance!

Both in Tankers Day.

Tomorrow there's apparently a 30% discount on garage items, so now I have 2 options since I've saved 130k:

  • Purchase Hyperspace Rounds for Railgun because somehow I've always wanted that alteration, from the day it was released.

  • Rank up (only 2500exp. left), get 40k extra, and then buy a module for either Smoky, Freeze, Shaft, or Gauss. Still undecided, but I hate all those turrets.

Hyperspace rounds is extremely situational, the only time where you can actually use the alteration to its fullest extent would be a GB pileup or in a Poly CP

I'd say just do the 250 kills (2.5k xp) and rank up.

This is actually a legitimate "What to buy? Which is better?"

what product kit for 50,000 - 60,000 available for my rank?

p.s i'm going to rank up to WO1 soon, so pls reply ASAP, so I actually have a chance against WO5 or third lieutanauts, both of which, are ranks, that are EXTREMELY ANNOYING!

Depends... Hero is a beast, Rocketeer is good, Matrix is decent, Piranha is absolutely crushing with skill, Harvester is OP if you dedicate your self to only MUing it and nothing else, Archer is amazing (it's what I got on a low account) and you can get RGC at WO2 and then use either stock or RGC depending on the situation. As a side note, you don't need to memorize all the angles and stuff for magnum, just be smart. If you know roughly how far away it is, you can just guess and fire. I do it all the time and get consistent hits.

Hey guys, I'm nearly at WO5, and I have 139k crystals.

I don't really want dictator kits, and after reading previous posts, I have come to the conclusion of either Juggler or Chiropractor kit.  I want to try hunter, mostly because of the overdrive and how unstable viking is.  I have more experience with Rico both on my old account 123tim456, which got hacked and banned, but I use shaft occasionally and do enjoy it, especially with hornet because of the overdrive.

I have both SBE and MFS alterations.

So, Chiropractor or Juggler? Chiropractor unlocks at 2nd lieutenant, while Juggler unlocks at first.

Thanks in advance.

If you're going to spend money, you can get Predator, to get Thunder and Hunter.

But if you're not going to spend money, then you should save Crystals to MU only 1 or 2 Combos.

MU those up to M1.10, then save crystals for an M2 kit. You're spending too much in too many M1s that you won't be able to MU because you won't have enough crystals to MU them all, and if you don't MU them these become more and more useless the more you rank up.

I have Shaft, Rico, and Hunter all M2 10/10 (M3) so my combos are naturally OP, but I'll weigh in here.

Shaft is tremendously good with Hunter. It's also amazing with Hornet. Rico is amazing with Hunter. I'd say Juggler is the more versatile (especially with MFS) and also it can get you started with less skill. I haven't learned to use Rico properly, but I can still get top 3 spots without drugging (3-4 drugs per game). With skill Rico will take you far, but with skill Shaft will take you further.

My verdict for you? Get Chiropractor, learn to use it effectively, then get Rico on sales later on, separately. That's what I did, and it worked out for me.

What if I get Juggler, then Centaur, instead of Chiropractor then Rico?

Edit: The pitbull kit is also pretty cool, and I play hammer.  Perhaps that?

im no expert but know if u use hammer thats 1600 max dmg so 3 shots is 4800 so if its a maxed m2 tank medium hull thats all 3 shots heavy m2 hull with double armor if it aint weak u aint killing it in three shots hammers abbility is the punch it packs to throw enemys off so that in mind i think hammers good at max m2 if u use 5 shots ppl say duplet is good but think if u hit both shots for 1600 thats only gonna kill a maxed heath double armor hornet or wasp nothing more if there weak maybe kill medium and heavy bt full health double armor medium or heavey ur screwed untill it reloads and it leaves u a sitting duck so alts best for it i think is the extended mag unless u just plan on hitting and running now i only played with m0 version but thats my opinion but dont take my word im negative kd and the worst at the game

I don't use Hammer, but I think a Speed Boost would work well to get out of your enemy's line of fire. Stock Hunter M2 with a Speed Boost is as fast as stock Wasp M2.

I think that Alterations like Dragon's Breath or High-Capacity Ammo Clip would help to win against an enemy.

Well do you know how long it'll take to get to Major-General? You can get Juggler then Shaft separately if you want, but don't plan for M3 kits just yet ;)

I somewhat know how long it'll take to get to Major-General, because my old acc was at Brigadier.  Also, why did you mention Major General? No kits are unlocked at that rank, Hammer, Viking, Rico, Hunter, and Shaft aren't unlocked at that rank either.  Did you mean Major, when Shaft m2 is unlocked?

I think I will get Juggler, then shaft separately, since Juggler unlocks first and I don't know if I will be playing tanki long term.  I agree that I shouldn't be planning for m3 kits so soon too lol.

Thanks for the advice!

guys heres  my dilema im trying to find whats better for ctf i think twins but i also think smoky i already own freeze m2 can u guys help me pick plz

I would say twins is better at attacking and getting the flag(with stable plasma alt), while smoky is a midfielder.

If freeze is your only m2, I would choose smoky as it is mid-long range, while twins is mid - short range. Smoky would allow you to be effective in large maps too.

Hey there, and thanks for coming to us to discuss what are possibly two of the best kits in the game.

Let's take a look at Juggler. Ricochet M2 is a pretty good upgrade from M1, and the speed at which the projectiles travel with MFS is very fast. This will allow you to compete even at medium ranges against other turrets like Smoky and Thunder. It's ricochet ability is very deadly once you have mastered, and it's overall just a really fun turret to use. The problem with this turret is that protection modules will be widespread. And I mean everywhere. People buy Boar and Juggler, which is how they get the M2 Lion module into their hands so early. And believe me, your time to kill will increase drastically if you go up against someone with modules. This is the only complaint I have about Ricochet. As for the module, it will help you quite a bit in DMs as you will see a lot of Ricochets there. Solid 8/10 turret.

Now, Chiro. Shaft M2 is a huge upgrade from M1, and the damage it puts out in sniping mode is unparalleled. Combined with its arcade shots, you'll pretty much be able to fight at all ranges provided you have a stable hull and good protection modules. The hull this kit gives is Hunter, which is ideal for those instances where you're surrounded by enemies and would otherwise have no escape. If you are even a semi-competent sniper, you will quickly master this god gun and learn when to switch between firing modes. Although it may not be as fun as Thunder, it will grow on you soon enough. What's probably the best part about this turret is that protection modules at your rank spread will be almost nonexistent. Since you already have Short-bands, you'll easily transition into the role of a marksman - devastating two shot kill potential against medium hulls with arcade shots and DD. The damage will be enough to one shot even M1 light hulls. Paired with Hunter's EMP, it's a perfect kit. From there on, you have five paths to choose. You can keep using Short-bands and be an effective marksman on the frontlines, locking down objectives by yourself. You can revert back to stock Shaft and ditch the longer reload in arcade shots. You can opt for Heavy Capacitors to take out big targets, especially in JGR. Or you can change up your approach entirely and become a sniping god with Light Capacitors and Hornet. Then there's Rapid-fire mode... no explanation needed  :) Finally, Shaft M2 is quite a late unlock if purchased separately - all the way at Major. You'll save yourself a lot of time if you buy this turret 4 ranks ahead of its unlock.

Shaft opens up your possibilities like no other turret. They all have specific roles - you can't make Firebirds snipe or Vulcan plow through enemies at close range - but Shaft is the one that has no bad alterations. You'll find something that works for you specifically. Trust me on that note. The Eagle module that you get with the purchase of the kit will help you immensely, allowing you to survive would have otherwise been a one-shot kill. This is a kit that deserves the 10/10 from me and many others - no doubt.

I know I'm late to the party, but I do hope I convince you to reconsider buying Juggler and instead invest in Chiro.

And thanks for coming here. A lot of us make the mistake of buying something and then regretting it later on.

Tide out.

see twins for me is good for getting in enemys faces like i like to do thats why i want it if smoky was more non luck based it would be better

This is a question that will be quite hard to answer. Be warned  :D

I'm planning to get some new M3s on Tanker's Day. Here's the thing, I'll need your best judgement to help me on this one.

Here's what I have to play around with:

Enough crystals to buy 2 M3 Turrets/Hulls/Modules (excluding Smoky (5/10 going to 6 as we speak), Railgun (I hate Rail even though I used it for years...), Titan (8/10 going to 9 as we speak), and (Firebird, Hammer, Ricochet, Smoky, Striker, Vulcan, Thunder, Gauss, and Shaft) protection).

I'm thinking of getting Twins and the respective Twins module.

Then, I have some Tankoins to play around with. Actually, not some, 9200. On the sales, I'm expecting a half-price reduction in the costs of product kits, which means I'll be able to add one more turret, hull and module to my collection. I'll spend the rest of my TKs on Batteries.

I've analyzed all of the product kits and thrown out the ones that will not benefit me at all:

Ant (Wasp-Isida M3, Ocelot M3)

Boreas (Wasp-Freeze M3, Badger M3)

Bertha (Mammoth-Magnum M3, Griffin M3)

If you think that I shouldn't buy Twins along with its protection:

Destroyer (Mammoth-Twins M3, Panther M3)

Me stopping my upgrades on Titan or Smoky is out of the question. Sorry guys, I'm simply not gonna.

And you know that I don't want Railgun.

If anyone can come up with a good response that will convince me to do as they say  , consider yourself invited to my rankup. Rank spread Lieutenant General - Legend. Lots of golds.

Thanks for reading...if you did read, and please help me out for probably this last time on this account.

Tide out.
