Thunder is not common at gismo because you have to MU it a lot in order to kill heavy tanks like titan and mammoth and to overcome the protective paints like emerald or clay.  Plus that, isida is only good if it drugged and camped in that hole beside the point. Other than that, it is killed easily (unless m4 ofcourse)

Exactly, you need to heavily MU thunder for it to remain effective

An Isida can be useful anywhere, just in the hole is best as you heal your teammates while remaining undercover. It can still be used effectively around other areas on Polygon. A M3 at Gizmo is still able to compete with later m3's and some m4s

Personally I only play poly cp. If the max rank is my own and I see the my m3 smoky just rules.as I bought paladin kit I usually.end up 1st with a 100point lead if it is a fair no drug battle or 2nd if someone in m y team drugs

I've heard that they are both similar. However, M3s should always go before M2s, in my opinion (and others). If you MU, then it is definitely better to pick the M3 (M2->M3 vs. M3->M4). Looking at your profile, you have M2 Firebird, and Railgun. Firebird and Twins could be considered Smoky's equals (depending on how/where you use them). You already have Fire. Since you are already at the rank where you can get M3s, I wouldn't bother with getting any more M2s. Even if you don't want Thunder/Isida, you can still buy an M3 kit or wait a rank or so, then buy a much better turret than Smoky M2.

 

PS:

 

With a DD supply activated, Thunders can one-shot-kill my Hornet M2. Otherwise, it would be two shots with an under 3 sec reload. Smoky, on the other hand (both without MUs) would kill my Hornet with a minimum of 4 shots, excluding critical hits. It has a reload of slightly over 1.5 secs. So, with a timer starting when the first shot is fired, an M3 Thunder could kill my tank in 2.85 seconds. Smoky could do the same in about 4.7 secs.

I really like my smokey m2, it is really OP even against m3s and is cheaper than m3 thunder, if I were you I would get m2 smokey.

I am probably gonna have around ~60k by Xmas. If sale is hopefully 40-50%, I would have 15-25k left after buying Hornet M2 on sale (taking into account 40-50% sale)... so please suggest me a decent paint to buy.

 

Please look at my current garage anf paints. Also I hate Firebird, Twins and Thunder the most.

My alt LordZenith will have the following garage after Xmas - Dictator M1, Wasp M1, Isida M1, Firebird M1, Railgun M1. Is this a decent M1 garage to go with till I buy my first M2s?
