More opinions on Isida M3 are appreciated. If I do end of getting it, would you guys recommend the Eyjafjallajokull or the Cardinal kit? For Polygon CP mainly.

Cardinal - Twins/Titan is amazing. MU Twins to at least 10/50 and you'll be set :)

 

Although you might not want to use Picasso, since Picasso is a long range paint

 

Edit: You have Hunter and Vik M2. Can you compare these two (for Poly CP), and is Hunter M2's health ok for Poly CP? (Fire/Hunter)

My only m2 is thunder and this is usually with hornet m1 in polygon cp. I have nearly ranked to brigadier and when i rank will have around 157k.

 

For the iron days sale I can either

 

buy more m2s such as fire m2 and viking m2.

buy an m3 but can only afford one so isida m3 or thunder m3 (less chance of thunder m3 due to all the emeralds from bulldozer kit)

i could also save a bit more for something like huntsman kit smoky m2 hornet m3 and urban

or i could continue saving for a m3 kit (jackhammer,refrigerator,legend)

 

my only m2 is thunder which was good when i got it but has started to lose its power unless i drug. ive mued my hornet m1 a bit but it is still weak compared to m2 hulls. i play lots of polygon cp.

 

could u pls tell me what to do. by the way is iron days sale only 25%.

Although Thunder M1 is your second most used turret, I guess you could give it a try. I generally have a bad view on Thunder M3 cause I've used it too much and stock is pretty weak

Drive near the sides when on big maps. Circle your enemy's. Keep distance. Don't use it with heavy hulls unless on defense.

Well you'll want something to replace that in the near future (e.g. At Major General Rank). Have you considered Fire M2?

 

I'm not saying don't get Thunder M3, I think if you buy it, you'll like it. It'll pair well with Dict M2 (M2 Mammy is slow) and you get Emerald, amazing for Poly CP. It's just that if you want to use it past Major Gen, you need to either 1) MU it or 2) Get another turret

Hunter and Viking's health difference is barely noticeable. However I use Viking more because it's flatter making to you harder to hit, and because it's stability. Hunter is great too, but its drift is a big problem, not to mention it's actually quite easy to flip. 

 

However you want me to compare the two, so: -

 

Hunter if you plan on not being in the center all the time and moving around. I also find Firebird works better with Hunter than Viking (imo).

 

Viking if you want more HP, aren't concerned with GBs, want more stability, and if you plan on rushing the point quite often (I find Viking is better for holding the point and capturing it, unlike Hunter). 

 

 

Which ever one you get, I would recommend Loam, too. Firebirds are just so common it's not a need anymore; it's a necessity.

 

Overall Viking is probably the better choice.

Well do you want Hohloma? Imo if you want Fire M2, better you buy it at Major. Fire/Dict works well too. It would be a different story if you were a second or first lieutenant, but you're not, so I recommend just buying it at Major

First of all- tank u very much, your post was very,very helpful to me :) I am stuck between Minotaur and Firewall (ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/BorussiaDortmund_BVB/), but I think I'll get Firewall, cause I've already used Twins M2 and Vik M2 on this account. Hunter's drift is not a problem for me, I've gotten used to it and I find it as a boost to maneuverability. Based on what you said, I think Fire/Hunter would be better for me (Even though M2 Vik is the better hull for Poly CP).

 

Another question- how much Firebird paints do you still see at high rank M2 Poly CPs (e.g. Colonel and under)? Specifically, Loam and (Storm, I guess)? If I plan on using primarily M2 Fire from Second Lieutenant all the way through Colonel, is Fire protection paints going to be a huge problem?

 

Btw if you have any questions abt M3 Poly CP, I can give lots of tips :)

hh I'm in same situation as you, no vulc or isida prot. I'm just gonna skip it, the paint looks like Red paint with black spots to me. And if I buy the paint, I'll have to skip Rail M3 until later on

i have a small wish list in tanki over all anways (for m3s), and there is sale in march so i may be able to scrape crystals for wasp m3 then anyways.

it looks good to me, so ill wait till iron days to see if its on sale :)

DON'T get Mammy. Keep saving for Vik M3 or Hornet M3

I've used that Vulcan+mammothm3+Africa kit in a lot of test server polygon cps and I am a absolute terror to the enemy team especially if I drug cause they just can kill me :). I've also tried the cardinal kit and I don't like twins m3 cause at stock m3 they just don't seem powerful enough maybe at fully MUed m3 they are better or with drugs but I didn't like it very much so I suggest getting Eyjafjallajokull kit

I would get the special paint, one of the greatest regrets of my career was that I did not get the now unavailable paints (Tracer, Moonwalker) :(

 

Wasp M3, on the other hand, you can get at any time.
