I kinda like XP, but Smoky is my dream weapon :)

 

I'm gonna get Atlas, I can't bear to wait 3 extra ranks for my Smoky M2...

There is a reason they give you Hunter and Smoky from the start :)

 

For light, I pick Hunter over hornet and wasp (perhaps not in m1)

For medium, I actually prefer dictator, it works really well thanks to the raised height, Viking is in close second.

Heavy, definitely Titan because of the hight, pushing power, and extra speed over mammoth.

Rico M1 is amazing. It is good even at my rank! Just see how much XP I have with it! I like Rico with Hornet, but Rico-Hunter is pretty good to. Try and find battles with lots of Hornets and Wasps, Rico absolutely tears light hulls apart.

What hull is best with Smoky

Titan if

- if you play small maps up to midsize maps (Polygon)

- if you preffer to defend

You have to take a close look, as the Dictator is an option in some lower ranks (check unlock rank, health, speed and turning speed)

 

Hornet

- if you attack and are impatient

- if you play midfield or attack support, but you like to be very agile and change positions frequently

 

Hunter/Viking

- if you attack and are patient

- if you play midfield or attack support; but you don't drive around so much, but chose a place midfield and stand your ground

 

Mammuth is too slow for the little health advantage it offers.

Wasp / Smoky is maybe too hard for you in the beginning.

Purchase a cheap  M1 Wasp later during a sale and try it.. then decide about it.

if you still love your Shaft, go for

Paint: Mars

I think "Refrigerator". It has M3 Freeze, M3 Viking  and nice paint Hive and its available at rank Brigadier and higher!

Scratch any M2s, they're just not worth it.

 

Refrigerator kit is kinda good, but I'd rather wait for Jackhammer or Cardinal kit to come around. Hive is just not that good of a paint, since Vulcan is rarely used in the Gen ranks.
