Should I buy Predator? I was saving up for Osaka (Hunter M1/Isida M2), but I'm no longer sure if it's still there (Tanki might have removed all the M2 Isida kits) 

 

Predator gives me Hunter M1, Thunder M1, and Jaguar. I'm not concerned about paints - Storm is supposed to last for a while. Hunter M1 surpasses Viking in both health and speed, and Thunder is one of the most OP M1 turrets, so it is a good kit. Also, this 50% sale is probably going to be the biggest sale for a long time. If I do get Predator, I'd skip the early M2s and go straight for an OP M2 kit. 

 

Btw I have ~45k crystals and I'm also planning to MU Storm a little less than halfway.

Buying Predator with wholesale discounts + 50% discounts on the Thunder is 33528 crystals

MUing Storm without speedups up to 5 steps is 3010, with speedups 4515

6 steps is 4510, speedups 6765

7 steps is 6310, speedups 9495

 

Another factor in this is that while Thunder is probably more OP than Isida I'm more experienced with Isida and will most likely play better with it - it suits my gameplay style better. I might be better off simply saving the crystals and buying M2 isida either in a kit or if they removed both of them when it unlocks, or even just saving the crystals themselves for a better M2 kit later on

I'd suggest you buy m3s at your rank, not m2s, so go with freeze and put some MUs in it.

I have Atlas and 70k crystals in my bank. I've started to play with wasp/smoky and viking/smoky quite a bit now and I like it quite a lot. 

There is gonna be a 50% sale on all items and I want to get a medium m2 hull. I am aware that viking m2 is superior in terms of health when compared to hunter m2 but I am not high enough of a rank to purchase it. Additionally, I am never gonna get a better deal than this so should I get Hunter m2? I don't think it should hinder my future plans.

Future plan is to get Medic/Turtle/Guardian (1 or 2 of these kits). These could be changed

Just in case anybody missed it...

Hi guys.  I'm thinking about getting either Shaft M2 or Mammoth M2 in Tanki's upcoming birthday sales (50% off FTW).  I tried out Shaft M2 on my alternate account, and I find it reasonably good for taking out distant targets (it isn't as versatile as Smoky, though).  As for Mammoth, I figured that I'll need some heavy bulk as I climb up into the high ranks (and I'll be able to play on smaller maps w/o being overwhelmed by other heavy hulls).  I also currently have around 65k crystals.  So what's the better buy: Shaft M2 or Mammoth M2?

 

P.S.  I'm confident with the equipment I currently have, but what predominant threats lurking in the Major through Brigadier ranks should I worry about?  Will I need a new paint(s) or should I just to march onwards with my current equipment?

 

My Current Equipment:  

 

 

Hulls: Viking M2 and Hornet M2

Turrets:
      Smoky M2- most commonly used

      Firebird M1- never used

      Isida M2- barely used (I find myself preferring ranged firepower more...may use if I'm too bored of Smoky)

Paints: Winter and Tundra (Forester, Swamp, and Dragon are filler)

 

 

 

Maps I play in:

 

Common: Madness, Rio, Serpuhov, Kungur, Brest

Sometimes: Aleksandrof, Tribute, Highland, Polygon (the most chaotic in my opinion) and other medium maps.

 

 

I heard from a couple of Lieutenant Generals that Mammoth isn't the best buy for higher ranks (one of them recommended getting a "Railgun or something" instead).  Still, having Tanki's bulkiest hull could be a great boost for me...

 

By the way, are Hohloma, Blacksmith, or Rustle worth buying?

Is reformed lumberjack going to be useful in Polygon CP? Max 36 to 37 may be of Vulcan, Isida, Fire & Freeze.

 

I can't decide whether this paint is necessary or leave it aside because of the increased Vulcan protection. =/

 

Based on Isida, Freeze, Fire protection, I have enough, I think.

 

Would have: Clay, Rock, Africa & Zeus by sale.

The Striker Kit might be placed back in the garage during the 50% sales next week. It has Smoky-M1 + Viking-M1 and a 4-tier protection paint. I would recommend you play a lot right now and save for that kit.

Save better for a good m1 kit like fighter, but if you like smoky so much then buy it. Another option is firebird m1 which is really cheap but effective.

Slight change of plans. If the trio module comes out, I will get protection against Twins, Isida, and Freeze on my Nano paint. Also, after getting advice from an experienced Tanki soloist I am going to work on micro-upgrading ONE combo in my garage to M4. I learnt that as a person, you figure out how to live your life, not be something you aren't. The same goes for Chess, sports, combat, school, business, etc. It's all about strategy. When I walk into a battle, I know where to go and how to approach the battle. For me, my dream combo is Smoky M4 and Titan M4 and this feels like a stronger decision than going for Wasp M3 at 50% off and then Stormbringer without the sale. The main goal in Tanki is to gain crystals, and I feel obliged to unleash the power of simplicity and understand that it's not an arsenal I want; it's the tank I create.
