Yeah, cheap and needed for XP battles.

 

Vulcan or Twins guys? Or both? Really confused. Would use after buying Titan M3, maybe even use it with my Hunter and any other hull I buy. And if I get Vulcan, do I need better fire protection than Lumberjack?

I recommend both. You can play the same Poly CP battles as a defender and attacker with Twins then as an attacker and spoiler / camper with Vulcan. This gives you options when the enemy has protections against one or the other. Watch the crystals pour in.

All M4 items are said to be equally balanced, so I suggest you upgrade whatever you like most. Personal recommendation is not to get Thunder, Freeze or Railgun as the first two seem to be weaker than the other guns and too many players use modules with high Railgun protection (although it does give you access to XP/BP format battles).

I took this advice myself and avoided Thunder and Freeze at M3. Now that I have one M4 and have come to the same conclusion about the ultimate balance of M4s, I'm not so sure. I see a lot of effective Freeze usage in CTF battles, and Thunder can be a devastating spoiler in almost any battle type or map. I haven't checked but I suspect these are near M4 versions.

 

So if you love Thunder or Freeze, or Isida or Hammer (any of the early unlock M3 turrets), go ahead and get them early and start the expensive micro upgrade to M4. Those turrets get a lot of improvement on each MU step, due to a combination of the early unlock and M4 balance.

Yes. You can use it to camp in Polygon's Tunnel like I do sometimes. :ph34r:

 

You'll have to use it like defence.

I use the same rig sometimes, and agree with both the pros and cons above.

 

Good in Poly CP or short map CTF battles.

 

Bad in any medium to large map with multiple focus areas, where enemies can outrun or just plain ignore you.

I need a decent combo for DM tournaments, ATM my best is Thunder/Dictator M2/M2 however due to the self damage it is extremely limiting.  :(

 

I also want to play BP format battles ASAP.  ^_^

 

I was thinking maybe buy Vulcan M2 and pair it with my Dictator? (For Touneys)  :unsure:

 

Or should I buy the Wasp/Rail M2/M2 kit and stay with BP?  :wub:

 

My way of looking at it is, Vulcan costs 82K so it's relatively cheap, I can finish Torurneys more successfully and save enough crystals quickly to get a BP combo.  :D

I don't have Vulcan M2 but I have m3 and can tell you that it is very hard to get used to and use effectively. It doesn't work very well with medium hulls so honestly, I would go for something else.

I can't find any single good combination! I used Rail + Dictator, but... that just helped me a little from dying. Can anyone refer me a good combination that I don't have to buy? I was thinking of using paints, but I don't have any single paints that has protection against Thunder. So... Help me? Please?

Freeze most certainly doesn't suit my playing style, I like camping and getting high K/D ratios (Usually Unsuccessful) which Freeze obviously isn't good for.  :P

 

Let's hope I can save fast enough for the Wasp/Rail Kit before I rank up.  :unsure:
