I wouldn't really agree completely here, each turret has some quirks, but yeah generally Smoky M2 > Thunder M2, Twins M2 > Rico M2, and Viking M2 > Dictator M2. Although the key thing about Simoom and Boar is that they are crazy good for their early unlock ranks.

Save the 100K or so crystals. You'll find waiting a few ranks with M1s will make you have better m2s

I have used both and i think rico is better.

If you listen to that noob about minotaur, please note he doesnt have rico m2 or dictator m2 and i dont think that he has ever used thunder m2. Ohh wait! He dont even have dictator.

 

And i know what im tallking about cuz i have tested every single m2 item aviable in this game (Hulls/Turrets).

I disagree. I have Minotaur on this alt and it has been very OP till now. On my other accounts I have dictator M2 and Thunder M2 (Can't say anything about rico tho). Dictator M2 is very weak and thunder M2 is not really OP. Twins M2 can last you a very long time and Viking is way stronger than dictator (at M2) with almost no speed loss.

 

 

I guess it just depends on personal preference...

Seriously,dont get fortress.Its not worth the cost.Thunder m2 is not dat good.If u really want thunder,get bulldozer kit.

About boar,from using it for 3 months,i can say this:

Dictator m2,not worth it,ricochet m2, stands out against colonels.

In conclusion,dont get boar unless u will be playing poly cp non stop.Vik m2 is just sooo much better

In the end,i would recommend northerner,Firewall[fire-hunter],mino,or Atlas.Your choice.

But dont buy any kit that unlocks before 1st lieutenant.[except firewall]

Hunter m3/4 vs Viking m3/4 ?

 

This used to be obvious, viking was the better hull in about every way.

After the new update there will be no rank difference on getting them. Hunter will beat viking at taking impact and getting pushed. Viking on the other hand will be faster, but drift like the old hunter. Hunters drift is almost gone and it seems to be the stronger pusher from now on. Hunter also accelerates faster. Meanwhile the parameters effecting turning are gonna be identical.

 

I personally think the new hunter is gonna beat, or at least put up a serious fight against the new viking. Do you agree or disagree?

Hi. I play mainly at CTF battles and am ranked wo1. My main weapons are Viking and Thunder . As upgrade I want to go for Thunder m1 but this is not available till wo4 . Should I buy the Viking upgrade and Smoky at M1 ,which are both available now or wait for a kit or wait all together till wo4 and only upgrade the Viking + protective ?

Buy Viking M1 when you can, and then try to buy a cheap M1 like Firebird during a sale on turrets. After that you can get Thunder M1.

When the Fortress Kit unlocks, you are only a couple of ranks away from getting the Bulldozer Kit (Thunder M3). Personally, I would bypass Fortress and get Bulldozer. However, with the update coming up in a couple of weeks, the level of unlocking kits might change.

i bought ghost kit instead of guardian kit and hammer (just got OP gold with it :D ) and getting freeze m3 before they update it to make it more expensive  :ph34r: .... thinking about rock climber next ( i need stronger hull)

Since there will be a turret change, I am considering a change in plans.

 

My original plan was to save for Prometheus, and maybe get Hornet M3 somewhere in between. Since I'd need to rank so much, I'm not as motivated to play on this account as much, though.

 

Now, I figured out that, compared to the upcoming prices (http://en.tankiwiki.com/Global_update_of_game_balance_for_Tanki_Online) Isida is technically on a 38% discount now (167K~ vs 266k~). It'll lose a lot of its self-healing and healing, but gain damage at M3. I have 143k right now, and need to rank up approximately 1.5 times. I'd easily be able to afford Isida once I rank, but is it worth it?

 

One other note, I have Thunder M3, Fire M2, Viking M2 and Mammoth M2 as my useful turrets/hulls. Fire M2 gets a boost with most stats, but halves heating rate (there is the doom (or nerf) to Fire's OP alteration!). Thunder M3 gets more consistent damage (not better, as min is increased and max decreased), more impact force, quicker reload and more range. Viking M2 seems to be slightly nerfed overall (apart from speed, etc.). So I could still survive without Isida, but which is the better option overall?

 

Isida at Brig, or nothing?

 

 

Have a look at Freeze; it'll be much more useful after the update coming. :lol:

I would say Rico, as it does enough damage to be paired with Hunter, and can do fine with Titan. Not sure about alterations/prices/changes that'll be in place soon.

Doing a bit of planing for the future, I've been checking other kits, and I've only seen one other kit that comes with Smoky and Hornet, Huntsman, which unlocks at Colonel. The thing is that I seriously doubt that my Hooligan is going to last until Colonel.

 

So, is there any kit that's worth buying in the middle?

 

I'm up for trying other hulls and turrets, but I'd like something relatively fast with which I can use guerrilla tactics.

How is hammer m2 ?Good/Bad?

Other people say it's only an average M2. From what I know, it can kill M2 Hornets in two shots without double damage. Keep in mind that there are better turrets (Firebird, Twins and Smoky).

If I were you, consider either an early M2 turret alone, of your choice (such as Isida) or go for an early M2 kit, such as Osaka (or Stinger), Siberian (both with M1 hulls), Avalanche, Boar, etc.  If you haven't already, have a look at them all here: http://en.tankiwiki.com/Product_kits . 

 

M1 Hornet was enough to last me into the Lieutenant ranks, just before Captain ( to ) until I decided to buy M2; the reason being that it is one-shot-killed by M2 Rails. Keep that in mind.

I think Mino will still perform. Viking has slightly less health, but more speed, so fairly similar to now. Twins has a boost in most things, including damage (and max range damage), but slower reloading (0.25 to 0.29). Overall it sounds okay.

I'm going to say that you should go ahead and see how the update rolls out. Thunder m3 is going to improve (In my opinion) by a decent amount, so you do gain something from the update. Isida M3 isn't a smart choice because it loses its main feature: The self-healing. There is no reason to buy something that will be nerfed, just because it is cheaper pre-nerf. 

    I would say that if you are desperate to get another M3s before the update. Centaur is actually the best bet as a kit because Shaft M3 and Hornet M3 both seem to be getting some edits for positive. I'm not sure if they are overall being improved or not, but its definitely not an entirely negative update for them.
