What to buy? Which is better?

Bad news for isida,if i could choose between self-healing and healing i would choose self-healing ,no point in buying isida m3 now .

I'm going to say that you should go ahead and see how the update rolls out. Thunder m3 is going to improve (In my opinion) by a decent amount, so you do gain something from the update. Isida M3 isn't a smart choice because it loses its main feature: The self-healing. There is no reason to buy something that will be nerfed, just because it is cheaper pre-nerf. 

    I would say that if you are desperate to get another M3s before the update. Centaur is actually the best bet as a kit because Shaft M3 and Hornet M3 both seem to be getting some edits for positive. I'm not sure if they are overall being improved or not, but its definitely not an entirely negative update for them.

Thanks, make sense. I'm not sure about Centaur, as the most I've used Shaft is at M0 and M1. It's not really my thing, so I'd prefer not to go for that on my main account.

 

As for Isida; yes, what I'd earlier posted wasn't very accurate. I had a brief look, not absorbing that it would finish up with only 1/4 it's original self-healing, etc. As its price would be raised, along with its unlock rank, and also the Vlog talking about how it isn't very effective at Generalissimo, I assumed that the changes would be for the good more than bad.    (And also, they did mention that it was OP before then.)

 

My main question now is; what'll happen to kits? And, second question, who likes what'll be changed with Freeze? (Damage going up, better reload, better range, slower rotation, more energy consumption, one third current freezing level, and four times freezing speed/rate).

Hunter m3/4 vs Viking m3/4 ?

 

This used to be obvious, viking was the better hull in about every way.

After the new update there will be no rank difference on getting them. Hunter will beat viking at taking impact and getting pushed. Viking on the other hand will be faster, but drift like the old hunter. Hunters drift is almost gone and it seems to be the stronger pusher from now on. Hunter also accelerates faster. Meanwhile the parameters effecting turning are gonna be identical.

 

I personally think the new hunter is gonna beat, or at least put up a serious fight against the new viking. Do you agree or disagree?

But lets see, what really comes out.

The update is here mid October; then we will drive it.. complain :P and they maybe want to adapt a little more..

My guess is that all the kits will be unlocked at either Major General or Lieutenant General ranks, since all the M3s are unlocked at Marshal. I really like that Freeze is being changed, since it felt quite underpowered previously, although now it is going to be pretty annoying getting frozen all the time.  :P

I thought exactly the same thing, until I saw that the max freezing level will be only a third what it currently is. In other words, Freeze currently can make you 3 times as slow as after the rebalance. However, it takes a while for it to do that currently.

That would be worth it, but don't rule out waiting until the post-balance sale. If you wait, you might miss out on your chance to get an M3 at your rank, but might get a better deal in the end.

 

I would be leaning towards buying Bulldozer, if I were you.

 

PS:

Freeze seems to be getting a boost in stats, so your current weapon(s) may become wore effective.

so. planning for the future (again) now that my older plans are ruined by the up coming re balance. So. I AM getting Firewall as soon as i rank up . Is Minotaur a good choice afterwards since Viking and Twins are suppose to get a buff in the up coming re-balance ?

Actually, since the text is red, 0.1 is going to we worse than the current 0.3, whatever that may mean.

I think Mino will still perform. Viking has slightly less health, but more speed, so fairly similar to now. Twins has a boost in most things, including damage (and max range damage), but slower reloading (0.25 to 0.29). Overall it sounds okay.

Well, as you probably know, Minotaur is the better of the two right now. After the change... Dictator (M2) beats Viking in turning speed, and acceleration. This shouldn't matter too much, I'd think; it depends on what you want to do with the hull. On the other hand, Viking has more health, and higher top speed, plus a low profile. The short height can be called an advantage or disadvantage, up to you.

 

As long as you don't think ranks or price matter much to you (kits unlock early, so probably not), then I'd pick Viking. Even if you consider the 18k crystal difference, Viking (in my opinion). The rank would be the only changing factor, but as you want a kit, then it doesn't matter.

Yes, it will last you all the way up to early M2 kits easily. I should know because I didn't exactly use the kit, but I used Fire/Wasp with Storm LGC all the way to Warrant 4 when I got Osaka.
