What to buy? Which is better?

:) :) :) :)

your post made me smile, as I had exactly _this_ for the pre-balance values; for Wasp-vs-Thunder/Rail/Hammer/Smoky :)

It truely payd off, as I knew how much I would need.

LOL - I had it for Rail / Shaft vs Hornet / Viking to see what paint to choose and much I could upgrade it. Hated getting one-shotted.

I am currently using smoky and thunder for medium and large maps. But damage of both these turrents decrease significantly if target is far.

So I want another turrent.

What should i buy:-

Vulcun (Heard it is OP)

Railgun ( I am not xp/ bp player. I am  camper/ defender)

Shaft ( Is it nerfed after update??)

Note:- I am not a buyer/ drugger.

If I were you, I would actually go for a shorter range turret.

Which kind of camper are you?

  • Hidden, until you like to place a shot. Mobilty between camper positions important
    -> Railgun, Shaft
  • Not hidden behind cover, using a heavy hull, just to deal damage from a fixed location, not much movement flexibility
    -> Vulcan

Actually mammoth-shaft would be more of the second type...mammoth is too slow to do hit-and-run.  Mammoth shaft and Mammoth Vulcan playstyle are actually quite similiar.  But if you are talking about a hunter-shaft then yeah, hit-and-run type.

Currently at my rank of WO3 I have 65k crystals. My M1s are, Wasp, Titan, mammoth, smoky and firebird. I am planning to buy tornado kit for 160k. My other option is to buy voltage kit for 130k (M2 rail M2 dictator). After buying voltage I would save up for M2 wasp. Should I just buy tornado, or voltage with wasp? I know I can get 100k crystals before two rank ups without buying.

In the Gismo ranks I dont see those "sit right in front of my base" mammuth-Shafts so often. Also the heavy-hull mammuts hide there.

But of course an M3/M4 mammut is more mobile then those M1 guys that just park somewhere and snipe until they die.

I see on brest a lot the mammies will stop right out in the open on the bridges and sit there...but yeah 8.4 speed (M4 mammoth with speed boost) is quite OP

Of course.  But shaft by definition can't do hit-and-run as well as railgun..given the time to charge, scope in, and get off an accurate shot.

Noobs.  Sitting Ducks.  What are they doing?

(No wonder low-rank people think shaft is OP.  They don't know how to fight them.

Mammoth Vulcan Arachnid last time I saw...that's a combo that can be used for many maps.

On the rare occasion I play large maps, I prefer on the offense, so I would use maybe Hammer/Viking/Prodigi/Ursa T-B or Clay LGC with Thunder. I find that losing in large maps CTF yield far less crystals than CP.

I'm the second kinda. I use Hunter Vulcan for camping (it has more armor than my Mammoth and Titan and with speed boost it can jump the ramps In Monte Carlo

Rico impact and DPS is still great but not that OP as before.

Thnx - and I knew someone will raise this aspect ;)

It is no doubt, that any percent you get might help you.. but as those have to be paid are certain levels you can think off. The first level a player should achieve in terms of protection (IMHO) is to survive longer against his main threats. Later, once you achieved that, you can spend crystals on upgrading the rest.

It is a game with humans acting random according to their spawn points. You can't model everything.. but you can try to model some things.

So for this module (twins/Fire/Freeze @40%) you will gain +20% more survival time if you upgrade it to 50%.

If you feel it's not worth it, save your crystals for the M3 alternations that will come (one day.. :p ).

Thee is fore sure a reason why those are secret at the moment.. ;)

By the way, how do you calculate the effectiveness of mixed modules? Say, Kodiak T-A. It has Thunder/Rail/Fire.

Currently its 10/15, but will 15/15 makes a difference? (Mostly using it for Vulcan anyways.)

And where is Smoky protection placed? Gradual or..?

Get Mosquito or Tornado, personally I'd recommend Mosquito because of that smoky protection, at my rank, Smoky M2 and M3 are really annoying. Wasp M2 is generally better than Hornet M2, and XP/BP is a great way to get away from druggers, as I see a lot of M4 druggers when I play against Generalissimos. And the game has become unbalanced, you can only buy the 1500 supply kit from the shop for real money, buyers get an advantage, you can't earn 17.5k crystals with only 100 of each drug, so that kit bad. If you want to future proof your account, get Tornado or Mosquito.
