If you want something that simply can work well, try Twins, or maybe Smoky/Rico. Apart from that, Freeze would be an interesting choice, since it has been buffed in ways (and also nerfed; penetration). Fire might still be better than Freeze, however. Not completely sure, as I cannot really play with many M3s... only 1.

 

 

Edit; I actually go for a hull if I were you, but still your choice. You've only got one M3.

Hey guys,

 

I currently have 15k crystals. I am gonna rank and I am gonna complete my Halloween mission. After all of that, I should have about 19k+ crystals. 

Should I purchase Firefly with my crystals or keep saving for a better kit like Matrix, Corsair or Gunslinger?

i got firefly just because i was thinking: omg halloween, there will be so many golds and i wont do anything with my m0s

well, firefly is really good, i have it and i tell you from experience

if you play polygon cp, i recommend you to get titan. its pushing force, decent height and lots of armour helps you get gold boxes good

and to prove this:

halloween (double) gold, one dictator waiting for a gold on the spot, 1 titan and 1 dictator for the other spot (yes, they were next to eachother), of course i chose the 1 dictator spot, pushed the dictator from side as if it was wasp lol, i got it. titan rules

so yeah, go for firefly and titan

thunder m2 has an good splash damage so go for it ..and twins has been so merged ....so go for thunder

That's only 19k for an M2 (yeah, maybe the worst, but who cares).

 

I'd be getting it so I could try it, and have fun with it, not to use it in battles seriously (I have Fire M2, Thunder M3 and Rail M2 for that now). Any objections?

 

(As for comments about saving for M3s later, I am only thinking about Prometheus, in the future, as everything else is just way too far away (Marshal now...); I probably won't even get to Prom, let alone the others. So, considering that I may not even reach the "fun M3 stage", is it reasonable to go for this (it's really cheap)?).

Go for it even if only to try it out. You should know how it works. That helps you learn its strong points and weaknesses.

You have enough m1s. Save up for m2s.  Since you don't buy it's imperative that you have good equipment at your rank. It's terrible to be stuck with m1s against m2s.

 

Play Polygon.  It's good for crystal earning and your turrets/hulls are perfectly suited for that map.

What maps / game-modes you like most?

 

Smallish maps / DM - hammer seems to outperform smoky. Hammer does a LOT of damage quickly - especially with DD.

 

Medium to larger maps or team-work - smoky is more in it's element. Smoky is subject to kill-steals from others because it takes a few shots to deal the killing blow.

Corsair is better for attacking, Anvil is better for midfield.

I bought Hammer M3, and I was not impressed. It cannot kill most medium tanks without heavy upgrades.

I think you should be better off with the Twins. Read the specs, (assuming the wiki is up to date).

Well I just used Twins yesterday and it wasn't good, that's what I think :)

Hammer and Twins get better over modifications. Twin's fire rate increases to 4/sec at m4 and hammer's range turns Insane at m4. You can literally snipe with it lol.

I have thunder m3 (34/50) and can either continue to micro upgrade it to get it m4, or save up for a m3/m3 kit. I play mostly medium sized CTF maps and want viking or maybe even hunter in the kit. Which kit would you recommend if I go and get a new kit, and would getting m4 thunder be better than getting a new kit? Thank you in advance

Unless you are a big buyer, the final steps of upgrading are so expensive it's not worth it.  I would go for a short-medium range turret so you can play Polygon CP's and build up a big stock of crystals.

Compared to what happened with most other turrets Thunder basically got buffed - it should perform better now.

You could upgrade a few more times but as I_already_won mentions going above 40 gets really expensive.

 

A short-ranged turret with medium hull (if u don't already have) would be good choice.
