Ram seems like good kit...unkillable on Noise...Me and two other guys couldnt stop him, he was mad drugging - m2s on drugs = M4s in a sense...

But I mean, I'm doing the missions-only tactic, so every rank should gain an average of around 50-70k crystals, meaning that no matter what, I'll have enough. Right?

That's true. However, if I were you I would want M2 Vulcan ASAP. If you could give me some info on anaconda's unlock + price that'd help

Since Thunder M3 is now buffed, I'm considering it. But, before I get it, I want to "test" it. My plan then is to purchase Thunder M2 if I can use it and clicks with me. Good plan? By Xmas sales.

 

If you have another weapon to fall back on, then go for it!

 

The only reason I say so is because thunder's parameters are overly sensitive and very very reliant on overall game balance - more so than most other weapons. In a sense, you can say it's unstable. It's like a benchmark assessing every other turret/hull. That's the additional price it pays for being a medium reload, heavy damage, easy aim, across all ranges, multi-kill, no-escaping-it kind of weapon. It's multi-faceted lure is both a blessing and a curse. The "sway" factor is strong. When it's good, A LOT of people are going to be using it. The situation usually spirals in on itself and does not end well.

If it's above 100k, sure, go for Vulcan M1. However, if it's below it might be better in the long run to wait for the kit - seeing as your account has a 1:1 ratio. It might be a good idea to enter that account into some contests (if you haven't already) such as TTC, or the newspaper contests.

I do TTC regularly, typically on @NotANewb and @C.O.N.Q.U.E.R.O.R, but I'll enter more often now.

You do realize that Fire M1 is one of the weakest (if not the weakest) M1s... And besides, Vulcan will probably be only 16-18k at the sale... it's not much. And 3 ranks is a lot when I'm doing only missions.

I do think that u should go for vulcan. Imo as u only have firebird u are stick to small maps

And u said that u like to complete daily missions since these missions also comprise of certain map specific missions buying vulcan(mid+large range) will add up versatility to ur gaming style and will ease up in map specific missions.

And 14k(if u buy in sale) is not a big deal

Reality is we pay for everything in some % of discount

For 90% of the kits... add up price of hull & turret outside of kit. The kit will be very close in price, if not less.

So for ~ price you also get...

- Protection Module

- Paint (meh)

- Small supply kit - varies on kit you just bought

- early unlock - allows you to be OP for a couple ranks. You will get more crystals per battle by finishing higher.

 

You might be able to get the items in kit on sale separately, but in many instances the kit save you crystals.

And if the Protection Module is useful to you it's a no-brainer.

Sometimes the kits work out sometimes they don't.

In my case I got the Kit for ~ 410k crystals during a sale.

 

The module is decent - Smoky/Ricco/Shaft.  I did not have decent protection for any of those so it filled a void.

Received ~ 100 of each supply.

Bought it at General so I unlocked equipment 1 rank early - helps improve standing in battles = more crystals. I can get the kills I need for missions now.

 

Not saying kits are for everyone - but - I needed upgrade ASAP after they nerfed Isida. And Smoky M3 mostly fit the bill.

I would buy Anaconda kit (Vulcan M2, Dictator M2) but the protection module is crap. Freeze (ok, but if the enemy Freeze can reach you, then you most likely die no matter what your protection is) and Shaft (worthless on small/medium maps). I wait for a better Vulcan kit, even if my current Vulcan M1 is a piece of garbage.

True, that is.  However, it's most likely Vulcan will be re-buffed sooner or later. Also, Freeze protection reduces the strength of the freeze effect as well as the damage. (something you may not have known.) An m2 freeze module wearer can be much harder to circle effectively. (translate: almost impossible) And Shafts (and Railguns) will be a pain to Vulcan.  It's true you don't see them that much on small-medium maps but on larger maps Shaft will be your biggest enemy.

In all seriousness, I would get whatever one you like the best, not the one that is the most OP right now. Firebird right now isn't a good choice but if you like firebird, go ahead. But I'm sure you know that.
