Ok im completely stuck on this. I was told by a lot of high ranks that I should focus on upgrading one weapon and hull. And now I cant decide. freeze m1 or thunder m1? ( the hull is hornet m1 ). I play small / medium maps like combe , sandbox , noise.

I think twins m2 is a good turret with viking because viking can fast push and twins too.

But PLEASE : Just a question :

Whats your gameplay?

I mostly play with close range weapons and fast hulls. Usually attacking and rarely defending. But since it is hard to capture a flag with no drugs, alone I want a mid combo so I am upgrading Viking and I don't know what turret to upgrade with it. I am between ricochet and twins. Smoky and rail aren't really my style.

On my mobile phone so I'll do my best to answer the questions on this page, and get back to all of you in more detail when I have access to a computer.

 

@Stra: Get Viking, it's cheaper and easier to upgrade, and is used by many higher ranks.

 

@Rim: Freeze is looking better according to your hull and the maps you play. I use freeze, and you can't go wrong with it especially at the highest ranks!

 

@Xeno: Go for Rico, twins is nerfed. Though it will take a little bit more time to upgrade, Rico is a wiser investment.

 

@GreekLantern: m3 Viking with m3 freeze is my favorite and has worked great for my many years of playing!

 

@Damar: Upgrade your dictator before you get a paint, you will unlock better paints as you progress through the ranks!

@ph: If you have at least ONE good paint go for more hulls/turrets, if you are still shopping around for a high quality paint, rustle is a very nice choice.

 

@sij: It's not great but if you want to it's very possible. The best end paint to use with this combo is prodigi.

Isida m2 is a great compliment to your garage and can be used no matter what rank you are

Dictator m2 would be the better choice in your situation.

Viking m1 is cheaper and quicker to upgrade, dictator is not the best anymore, and hunter is expensive. What paints do you have already?

I'm assuming you have other m1 turrets already, so hornet m1 is your best bet, as it is cheap, easy to use, and quick to unlock!

You may find my answer odd, but I think you shouldn't buy any more paints until you unlock something of REAL value. Think about it, when you get a paint like needle, picasso, or inferno, are you going to find yourself back using cedar, tundra, or corrosion? Probably not. Which is why instead, you should save your crystals for bettering your tank and a high quality paint. Corrosion already is pretty balenced, and I would hope it does the job. The real thing that will affect your gameplay with middle ranked players like you is a higher modification of a hull/weapon

I've been using Corrosion for quite a while now, so now I think I need a new paint which would get get me from now to maybe Colonel rank. I see a lot of players Major and above using Corrosion. You could go for Sandstone (idk if that's available at your rank). Or, you could continue using Corrosion and get either Rustle or Digital at Major/Captain.
