Remember - Hammer of Pitbull is not a weapon usually used in midfield, but in close combat.

Although I bought it, I was 2nd Lieutenant at the time (just ranked-up to it and had enough for "Pitbull" kit, so I decided to buy it while on Christmass discount), I suggest no. If you can afford such expensive kit, then I suggest you not to buy it, just rank-up once more and buy "Atlas" kit or similar, which can straightly bring you to M3 ranks equipment.

I wouldn't suggest Atlas. You'll very quickly get bored by it's slow defense gameplay. If not Pitbull (which it's a combo I adore tho I got the combo though buying Fireworks and Firewall) get Minotaur or Northerner

I would suggest Tornado kit, because at those ranks Hornet M2 does quite good, and you will also be able to play XP/BP matches in the future, so its definitely worth it.

 

On the other hand, if you prefer going on supplies and like gold hunting, then Voltage isn't a bad choice either. It all depends on which play style you prefer the most.

If it was me than definitely I would have gone with the Minotaur Kit. Smoky is good but Twins is really powerful in low ranks especially at your rank. Works well in close-mid range battles and if you get the alteration for it than even more better! Of course it depends on what you are used to and how long you have used the 2 Turrets and how experienced you are but I personally would say Minotaur.

Hmm... now it is more interesting than before. Well... it depends, I mean if you can afford the alteration for Twins and you play close-mid range battles than I would still recommend the same thing and without the alteration than Twins isn't really that good since the self-damage is quite high even if you have 50% against it and on top of that, the alteration for Twins isn't cheap so you might have to think twice before you make your choice.

 

On the other hand, Hammer is really powerful and very very useful. Especially with a bit of supplies you can take down almost anyone and in your rank, not many have 50% against it so you can easily one or even 2 shot them. Perfect in DM as well as in CTF, CP.  Works well in small maps like Island, Hill, Ping.Pong, etc. If you go with the Hammer than you don't have to buy the alteration for it, well at least it isn't ''necessary'' like Twins where you do quite a lot of self-damage to yourself.

 

So my recommendation to you is the one that includes Hammer.

It was basically a choice between twins, hammer or smoky. But the thing is, why would I use smoky m2 when my thunder is m3?

I was in a Kunger DM was facing a couple M3 Kits and a bunch of full MU M2 . I drugged a little bit and got 1st :D

Since you would already have light hull, I would recommend a kit with medium hull (my favourite: Viking).

Northerner would be my pick. It is very versatile and will definitely last you to M3 ranks. The other option would be Minotaur, but the problem is Twin's alteration that removes splash damage is expensive for your rank.
