You can MU rail in the sales. 

 

If the discount during sales isn't  50% for MUs and 75% for SUs or more then it is cheaper to MU without sales but you have to be patient and don't pay any SUs.

 

Just plan your spending in such a manner that you save enough for m3 kits by Lt. General.

You can still use M2 hornet for XP/BP but i don't think it's the most usefull hull. You should get a medium hull like Hunter or Viking since they have enoguh armor and speed to perform well in most of the maps. Btw, also consider getting the High Caliber Ammo alteration for rail. One shotting everyone with DD is quite nice ;)

You already have hornet so getting rail will allow you to play XP/BP which is really fun (at least for me). The problem with Railgun is that there a lot of protection against it, especially in bigger maps.

MUs don't make such a big difference as they used to so if you have your Ricochet 10/20 or something close to this you should be fine.

 

If you like XP/BP then you should buy Rail. If you don't then I would suggest buying a triple protection module or an M3 turret/heavy hull.

It's a difficult call because I've never played XP mode before, but railgun was the first M1 I got. I thought about getting titan but it's a bit boring.

Yes I would get ricochet m4 + minus-field stabilization. I'm about 100,000 short of crystals right now (assuming the microupgrades sales are still 50% / 70% as they used to be).

I am asking this for my alt (Mr.StealYourGoldBox) whos wo2 atm with 60k crystals and smokey m1 wasp  m1 magma protection titan m1 (bought savage and bought titan m1) I either want the freeze m2 hornet m2 kit or a good m2 thunder kit i can get in WO ranks if i can (i dont know if any exists havent played in like a year almost on any of my accounts until a week ago)

Hmm... well the closest M2 kit you can find on the garage at your rank is the one called Simoon kit.  In your case I would suggest you to save your crystals or get the M2 Freeze kit which includes Free and Hunter. Very useful at your rank and can be a deadly weapon if you use it the right way which I'm sure you will as this is your alternative account.  

 

There are plenty of kits to choose from if you rank just a little bit higher than the current rank you in now. Also you can find all the kits in the game and their prices as well as their information on the Wiki page which you can find in here. Good luck choosing the right kit. ;)

Thunder m2, without doubt.

 

Its better than striker because you hit the enemy instantly.

Striker has better stats (reload), but the slow speed of projectiles is its biggest weakness.

It gives the enemy time to dodge the missile.

 

Thunder better than hammer because of better range.

With hammer you need to go close to your enemy to hit them, which is not always possible, since them may drop a mine.

Thunder & Striker similar... so first consider them vs hammer.

 

Hammer excels at shorter range while the others at mid-long range (they have self-damage handicap at short range).

 

So depends on how you play and what maps...

small maps, flag stealing?  hammer might be better.

larger maps, or defensive/mid-field support?  Thunder or Striker might be better.

Striker is hard to use, so I wouldn't recommend it. 

 

Thunder is strong and oh wait, it doesn't unlock early at m3 cause they changed then *insert angry face*. 

 

Hammer would suit your Hornet better than the others, so I would recommend going for that.

I don't think you should spend more on rail, because even if you get it m4 + high calibre ammo, people have near 40% protection against it in high ranks, so sinking crystals in it won't help you that much.

 

Just keep saving crystals, you could either go for paladin or raiden kit, or just buy the m3s at marshal.

Should i Buy northern kit. i have hammer hunter and isida m2. dont worry about m3s. I am not ranking any time soon. could take 5-6 months to reach kit rank and marshall so i am thinking of expanding my m2 garage.

It is a good kit, but why pay for viking m2 when you have hunter m2.

You only need 1 medium hull at each modification, so I would not advise you not to get it.

 

Just rank up and get the turret(s) you like.

 

Or you could titan smoky kit, it is good too.

Well first it depends on the battle but if you would choose one of the 2 you mentioned, I would definitely say the Rail,Thunder,Fire. I mean Rico is ok but since there are multiple people who are trying to take the Gold at the same time, it is very likely that you will worry about RIco, someone might even block his/her way. Meanwhile Fire can just take down whole squad at once and no one can block the burning flames and on top of that, Fire became more powerful in the balance update so it is definitely something to look for!
