What to buy? Which is better?

Is the 100 drug kit worth it? If I buy it, I'll have around 1k left... but I'm not saving up for much stuff, since I just got Stinger.

Twins' self-damage essentially shoots the user in the foot. Smoky is a viable option, but would be better in close quarters because of the pitiful weak damage. Ricochet is alright IMO.

Smoky, Fire Twins all unlock later than Thunder - because they all gain a decent boost in power from m1 -> m2.  >= 20%.

Thunder gets a meh boost of ~ 11%.  It's ok, but nothing special in terms of raw power.

You should get enough supplies from missions and weekly mission bonus - especially at the current x3.

 

Better off saving/buying for another m2 turret (mid-long-range) and/or MU-ing Stinger some.  Keep MU-ing it if you like Isida as the jump to M3 is one of the better upgrades.

it is excatly because it is so easy to use that i used it for so long. and it is also because i use it for so long i know how little skill you need to use it.

If you already have Viking you don't need another medium Hull.  Not worth the expense for the few extra gold you might get.

Put MU-s into your Viking - it gets really good toward M2.

With ~260K, and assuming a 50% sale this year, I can buy TWO of the following:

• Magnum M3
• Twins M3
• Viking M3
• Titan M3
• Kodiak T-F Module (against Rail, Thunder, Rico)

...along with some MUs.

 

Weighing each choice:

 

Magnum: We all see how it performs in battle - it's way too OP and I've had plenty of training with it in smaller accounts. My fear is that soon after I buy it they'll nerf it to the ground like they've done with 80% of my equipment. <_<

 

Twins: Almost same situation as Magnum. Despite all the protections against it, I've used it in another account and it still does fairly well in almost any battle...when coupled with a medium hull, the m1 alt, and drugs.

 

Viking: I already have Hunter at 11/20. But it feels like crystals wasted ever since they made Viking both stronger AND faster than Hunter. (don't use the weight/pushing power excuse, it is useless in most situations except for golds, and I'm not a gold hunter) Should I just get this with a few MUs and join the bandwagon? :P

 

Titan: I already have M3 Mammoth but it's barely at 5/20. But it's essentially the same situation as Hunter. The recent updates were not nice  to Mammoth, not at all.  :(  I already have Titan at M2 so maybe the next logical thing is to complete it to M3. Most of my weapons will also pair nicely with this hull.

 

Kodiak T-F: Against Rail, Thunder, and Rico. And I hate all three of these guns with the passion of 1,000 M4 Firebirds. Enough said.

 

So like I said, I have enough crystals to pick 2 of any of the above, along with some MUs. Have a look at my profile if you have any suggestions.

• Jackhammer
• Raiden

Question : Viking or Hunter Hull 

 

 

Current load out : M1 Titan with Vulcan /Thunder turrets

Current hull deficiency : Slow , poor power (struggles to climb steps) in addition to low ground clearance, poor maneuverability

Current hull advantage : Great armor , easy to drive 

Battle range - mid range 

Style of play : variable depending on game situation though prone to mid -> short range attack bursts

Short term plan : keep having fun/ save crystals for a kit with upgraded aforementioned turrets / hulls

Medium Term plan : Keep using those turrets and their upgraded version

Longterm plan : build an isida loadout to add flexibility in game play

 

Accounts : only 1 as it increases the  value (for me at least) for each decision I make and hence requires a bit more strategy. 

Battle cry : For God's Sake  SHIFT!!!!!!!!  :D

If they don't nerf Magnum some in the next few months the Devs are nuts.

 

Not sure you should buy the Viking. Viking is a bit faster than Hunter but - Hunter has better acceleration and is way more stable.  I've had Viking since before the rebalance and I was furious they basically switched the stats.  If I had a choice (OD aside) I'd seriously consider making that trade.

 

Twins:  when coupled with a heavy hull in close quarters it is almost unstoppable.  And it get most value from supplies and OverDrive since the crazy turret NEVER.STOPS.FIRING :wacko:

 

I suggest Module + Twins.

Alternatively Twins + Titan (as they go well together).
