What to buy? Which is better?

Hey guys let me first tell you everything about my turrets

M1 turrets= smoky(mid range), shaft(long range), freeze and firebird(short range).

M0 turrets= striker(coz it's OP), railgun,

thunder, hammer (bought them earlier)

Now something about my hulls

M1 hulls= Titan, mammoth

M0 hulls= wasp, hornet, viking

My problem is that im left with just 280 crystals.... Now i promise i won't buy anything else, but i want to save up for an m2 kit. So can u plz tell me how to make lots of crystals and also which kit to buy when i reach warrant officer 5/third lieutenant?

Thanks

8 different turrets from m0-m1 - yikes!  And wasp + hornet - ooops!

You will need an M2 medium hull - there are a few kits from W05 & up that have medium hulls.

Viking is arguably the best medium hull at M2, but Hunter is decent at that M-level as well.

Other way to go is Tornado kit - but you need to be good with rail... since that's a light hull and hornet at m2 is mediocre.

Don't invest too much in striker - as you face better tanks they get faster, and striker will have huge issue locking on for salvo mode.

Hopefully they give it a buff or a useful alteration as my m3 sits in the garage gathering dust.

So, I have three options here;

1. Paladin kit + M3 Hammer + M3 Railgun + both alts for Smoky + M2 alt for Hammer. Total with sales: 686,795 (Gets me everything for under 700,000)

2. Jack Hammer kit + M3 Smoky + M3 Railgun + M2 Hammer alt. Total with sales: 689,560 (Better protection module, but can only get one alt)

3. Rockshaper kit + M3 Smoky + both Smoky alts. Total with sales: 615,370 (Gets me Railgun right away, cheapest option, but no Hammer)

So, I don't plan on spending more than 700,000 for getting these items, because I'd like room for micro upgrading. The kits I can get at Lt General, but will have to wait until Marshal for individual turrets. I'm really tempted to go for option 3 because I get M3 Railgun right away for the lowest price, but I won't be able to buy Hammer. I don't much like option 2. I also like option one because Paladin I hear is pretty op with both alts, plus I get EVERYTHING for under 700,000.

depends on your playing style if you are a support go for paladin or rockshaper if you like to attack go for jack hammer.

But i prefer smoky more than all of them though

Either way I'll eventually end up with the same items. It's just a matter of how much I spend and when I get them. Viking/Smoky is extremely versatile. Short, medium and even long ranges in the event you get a critical shot. I might save myself 25,000 and not get the M1 alt so I can keep my critical shots.

Option-3 is by far the worst, hammer m3 without alt is not that good and the 5-shot alt is really good, it helps finish off enemies you will find it OP in DM[ First hand experience]. Rockshaper kit gives you the least discount and has bad protection[shaft, smoky are not common turrets], and smoky really doesnt require those alts to be good at all, rather smoky is more of a drug and win turret which is meh without drugs but powerful with drugs. I'd reject all your options and get this:

Paladin Kit + Rail m3+ Hammer m3 + Hammer alt + Griffon T-D M3 = 731k [apprx]

Ik that this is above your budget but I'm sure this will be really good for you. I dont suggest jackhammer kit because of its protections, smoky+hammer+rail is bad protection whereas if you get paladin kit[amazing short range protection] and griffon t-d you will get the best protection for both modes. Paladin kit also has the best paint and is the cheapest from all the other kits so your overall cost is down.... Think about it, I'm sure this will fit your garage amazingly well.

Now for my query:

My problem: What is the best turret that doesnt require lots of supplies/alteration to be good?

Background: After the new nub missions update, its hard to get the number of supplies we used to and I usually see myself using more supplies than I get back through the missions, so I was wondering which turret can help me do my missions and not require supplies/alts to use it effectively. My current garage has twins, rico and isida and all of them require me to be in the middle of the battle and drug to stay alive. My best guess is shaft and firebird but fire requires alt so I was looking for other options. Pls help

Striker or Magnum. Magnum, duh xD, Striker deals massive amounts of damage if you can get salvo off. I mean, I have plenty of drugs but I still play Striker without drugs sometimes, still get 1st-3rd. Maybe that's just cuz I'm good though

The 700k thing is just a preferred limit. I have 636k saved up as of now. To go until Marshal will earn me like another 400k, so if I have to go over a little bit it won't be much of an issue. Form this perspective it doesn't seem like a bad idea, however, from the perspective I'm paying about 40k more for the improved alt, doesn't seem like the best move.

Jack Hammer's module is pretty much the same, just swap out the Thunder prot for Hammer prot. I don't find too much of an issue with Thunders even without protection. their damage falloff is a lot shorter than Smoky's so as long as I can keep my distance I can ignore them. When I am close, I do the obvious - get close and personal so they do self damage. At medium range, it's just a matter of having the proper cover.

I will definitely think over your opinion on this, though.

A skilled thunder user won't let you get close enough and won't start attacking from a far-off distance either when that happens your smoky will not be able to match the thunder's damage and would lose out. Why not focus your combos and resources so that you are well-prepared for any range that you play in instead of buying mixed modules? That extra 40k might seem a lot now, but when you MU it and get it to good use, it will play off pretty nicely.]

I will definitely think over your opinion on this, though. [Ready to help anytime, let me know what have u decided later :)]

Striker'salvo lock on time is too much and requires me to get m4 for it to be competitive, besides it requires double damage to unlock its full potential and I'm not a big fan of striker either, too much self damage and easy to miss shots. I've tried magnum in my noob account and I know its amazing with drugs, its OP anyway and very easy to use once you've got the hang of it.... Thx again, any other suggestions anyone?

I concur on striker comment - supplies like speed on enemy tanks make it useless in many instances.

Isida - you don't necessarily need supplies if you play more defensive role - healing at least 50% of your time or more.

Freeze is similar - in defensive role prevents flag carrier from escaping so really helps team in CTF.

Smoky will get you score (but not necessarily kills) as you score even if someone else destroys it after you hit it.

Same for Ricco (always equip the MFS Alteration - always).

But since you have short+medium range, go for a longer range turret or invest more in modules - the longer you survive the longer the few supplies you use will last.

Also... stay away from missions that require kills, or DM.  Those are supply-hogs.

My current plan - locked in - is to buy Annihilator kit, then start saving for M3 kits. Should I instead MU something to M3?

ya well, annihalator kit is pretty much gud but its its not worth the price especially because it has the atom paint... try buying some kit that has viking m2 which dont cost much and later when sales come u can buy the thunder....

Which is better?

Smoky M4

Thunder M4

Titan M4

Titan m4, you already have so many turrets and looking at your rating you probably have most of them as m4..... Buy whatever you want, I say titan because you can have then you'll have the best hulls from each class- Light, Medium and Heavy, you can get turrets later on

M3 Fire vs M3 Rail vs M3 Twins

I can buy only 2 and please tell me a really good kit

You already have m3 thunder.... get fire m3 and rail m3.... Problem with rail, fire and twins is that they all require alts to be really effective, especially rail. But getting fire and rail will give u both long and short ranged prowess. There are a lot of good kits, it depends on what you are looking for and what is the price range u can afford

M3 Fire vs M3 Rail vs M3 Twins

M3 twins is probaly the best there. Rail M3 is pretty much just for camping (you wont get much exp) and Fire is quite op but u'd need supplies + the alt

I'd say go with M3 Twins and M3 Fire
