What to buy? Which is better?

Oh and M3 turrets Thunder vs Smoky vs Ricochet

I love Smoky & Ricochet 

But to get more score in battle's i need thunder

So which M3 Should i take ?

ricochet is good against noobs... but against skilled players you can forget it.

 

i mean it'll work in most normal battles that have don't multiple clan members on the enemy team.

 

i suggest smoky

Ricochet need a lot of skill and experience to wield it effectively 

I see more protection aganist Thunder & Smoky with high ranker's

So will it be effective as Rico wit the alt ?

depends, in DM it's all about steaing kills. smoky with the M2 alt makes it very good for that.

 

the biggest drawback of ricochet is visible ammo. this means that everyone will know who you're shooting at, where you're shooting from and which part of them you're gonna hit. as such, they can predict how your impact is gonna affect them and react accordingly. when you're trying to steal a kill, they know to shield the dying tank from you. when you're stealing a flag, you won't be able to make a kill without everyone noticing you the moment you fire your first shot.

Ah yes the blockig is the main drawback of rico it needs constant vision of target

You didn't say anything about protection's i see a lot of Thunder & Smoky protection 

That is why i am concerned about my Smoky M2

what I meant was that because everyone sees where you're shooting they can easily hinder you from doing what you want.

 

if i were to steal a kill with smoky from aside chances are no one would even notice what i'm doing, and even if tehy do they'll have to look around to see which direction I'm shooting from.

 

 

for protection against thunder and smoky it's pretty simple. join the battle with magnum and force the enemy to  use their magnum module, afterwards change to smoky or thunder. there are no modules that protect from magnum and thunder or magnum and smoky. for getting rid of  thunder protections you can also use hammer.

Ricochet mostly overpowers smoky in all DM maps except large maps. With double damage, you will be killing hulls faster than they can even do anything about it. Kill stealing is not ricochet's forte although due to the high damage I usually get lucky with 9-10 kill steals in battles which are good enough. Ricochet doesn't always need a straight line of sight, you can use its bouncing effect is so many ways, even killing enemies you can't see whereas you can effectively evade smoky's shots by using cover against it. A lot of the current battle maps (Industrial Zone, Year 2042, Red alert, Barda, future, highways etc.) rico is better than smoky even when there are plenty of camping spots for smoky to use just because rico's bouncing effect and alt trump smoky's peek-a-boo tactics.

 

Rico is overall better than smoky but sucks in large maps with no walls wherein smoky beats it by a mile. That's why I'm going for smoky as my next turret :)

How effective are the Thunder alterations?

Not much, the m2 alteration is useful when you're using double damage constantly and when there are a bunch of enemies at one place. Effective in clearing out defenders/flag stealers. But overall its not worth the cost, just like smoky, thunder doesn't need alts. 

Its worth adding that the alts can be used in parkour but only if ur really into it.

Are you a fan of parkour

The both Alteration's are good for parkour since it remove Splash damage & increase fire rate

But on normal battles , why ? 

The Splash damage makes thunder stand out in battles if no protetctions are there you are sure to top the leader board ,

Bcause of the splash you can engage multiple enemies at a time

I know how to use bounce effectively  ,so i will get rico 

and i play mostly medium maps with lots of prop's :)

I get kill's even without knowing in my m1 7/10 rico in my alt :wub:

Summerizing the points so far...

Kits I might buy:

Ram, Minotaur, Atlas, Glaze, Firewall, Anhiliator

Glaze- sucks without alt and MUs---- eliminated

Ram vs minotaur: ppl said to get minotaur

Nobody talks about anhiloator tho

Speaking of rico, there is also boar kit.

depends on the Alt, I'd say Mino with Stable Plasma alteration

Glaze is awful without a crap ton of MUs on Hammer and at least one of the alts, same goes for Firewall

And who told that to you?

Yeah but what should I get in those options? Guy told me minotaur with alt

All you need is minotaur, max it out and you're ready to be called "Buyer" "Cheater" "Taking money from mom's pocket" but yeah I'm sure that kit is a beast.

Max it out? Think ppl have twins modules in med- high ranks

How about other kits?

Atlas, glaze, firewall, ram, boar?

Me there is too many druggers lately and Hammer is barely viable against non drugged tanks I should know, it's why I stopped using Hammer and switched to Twins forever ago Edited by fordmustang12345

people do have Twins prot in high ranks (not many in Mid ranks usually) but a Maxed out Twins M2 (M3) with the Stable Plasma (to get rid of the self damage at close range) is strong enough to make most modules (25% or less) useless along with making higher ones only irritating (don't doubt my knowledge and skill with twins it's pretty much all I've used for the last few months) Edited by fordmustang12345

By maxing out I mean make it 10/10 twins and viking. If you save your crystals for minotaur and you will be able to buy it at First Lieutenant, make it 10/10 that's basically m3 so you will be above everyone. 

 

Yeah of course players have twin protection but that's only 25% against twins at your rank.

 

Ram kit is like minotaur but it has titan instead of viking. 

 

Just choose what you feel like playing with, we can't decide for you.

Both are good but titan is really slow, I love speed so I chose minotaur instead of ram.

Yea Yea, keep blabbering about fire, when you have a full m2 garage and are a buyer.

He is clearly a non buyer so your advice is more of a misguiding one.

I can't afford fire's alt, yet I do good in battles with fire, its all about strategy n gameplay. With hornet fire anyone who is good in sneak attacks n knows how to drug wisely can win n end up in top 3s even when there are fire modules, n mostly in large n mid maps, people don't use fire protection, so it's a good turret.

Mine is m2 2/10 dealing 606 damage per second, so if in range I can do, 3030, damage per 1 full energy bar, meaning killing both titan n mammoth m2 in 1 full bar.(only 1 afterburn included)

The after burn is 13.6 seconds so even if you use 3/4 of your energy the hull will die in most of the scenarios.

And btw fire m2 unlocks at major, so even if he buys it, it takes time to get enough to buy the alt, n to me alts are useless as I play pro n there alts n upgrades are always off.

Not anymore. The burn is the same as pre-2016 re-balance.
