What to buy? Which is better?

Ya Thunder's more fun than rail.

We can all acknowledge Ricochet's some kind of beast at M3. But what about before then? If I were to get a 7th M2, would you recommend Ricochet?

Rail was my favourite till before the rebalance . Then bought it m1 at third lieutenant only. (After getting bored of shaft and freeze m1)It is a great turret at your rank btw.

But after playing with m2 rail till major I wanted a turret that would be more than just a sniper from a distance , i kinda craved for some more engaging gameplay.

So fire and thunder are very good additions to my garage. I like how I can stratergise with friends and help in capping a flag by laying out some cover fire. And no need to talk about its effectiveness. Its a beast in a battle.

Wow, were twins! I am also adding firebird to my m2s! I like rail for long range/sniping, thunder for splash/mid range, and firebird for burning/close range. :)

So... I'd like to get 9 m2s, but it'll cost a heck load o' crystals. They are: Shaft, Firebird, Smoky, Thunder, Freeze, Hornet, Hunter, Viking, and Titan. (I already have Freeze and Hornet m2.) So, I'd like your IMOs on "What to buy-What to use".

 

I'm gonna get Shaft and Titan, but IDK about the others.

 

Firebird: Should I purchase it to have both Firebird and Freeze? Firebird is more of an offensive turret, while Freeze is more of a defensive turret.

Smoky vs Thunder: Smoky for quick, longer range kills, and Thunder for short multi-kills.

Hunter vs Viking: Hunter for short range turrets, and Viking for medium turrets.

Python vs Rustle: Do I need Python if I am getting Rustle?

HS, I don't know a lot about your game style, but Freeze and Fire aren't both necessary if you want all those other M2's. If you can afford both Hunter and Viking, you should get them because they're actually quite different. However, Viking is the better choice, as Shaft and Thunder are great matches.

 

Combos:

Hornet and Fire/Freeze

Viking and Shaft/Thunder

Titan and Smoky

 

Of course you'll experiment and probably mix these up a bit, but in general this is how your garage would play out once you completed your M2 run.

I'm more of a short-medium range turret kind of guy, so I don't like "squinting" down the turret's shaft trying to adjust to the exact angle to fire upon distant targets. So, Shaft is my preference over Rail for long range turrets, but IDK whether I really NEED a long range turret, due to my gamestyle.

I totally agree to get both Hunter and Viking, they're very different medium hulls, and have their own unique uses for different situations.

I'd like to get Fire m2 to have the "yin and yang" of short range turrets (Firebird and Freeze), if possible.

Similar to Hunter and Viking, Smoky and Thunder have different uses, but once again, IDK if I NEED both.

Hahaha! Come to think of it, I may not get Titan m2. I like to rush the other team (Since I only like to play CTFs and CPs on small and medium maps), so you can't really "rush" with heavy hulls very effectively. So, people resort to camping near their flag or capture point. I personally don't like doing that. You may get loads of points, but you won't be having fun IMO, and heck, that's what this game's all about, right? It's not ALL about the crystals.

 

My thoughts currently are getting:

Hunter

Viking

Firebird

Thunder

Shaft

 

Well on the bright side, there won't be a sale for a while so I've got some time to think some more. :D

Btw, Twins isn't as good as you think it may be. I have it M2, and trust me, it gets annoying when you're trying to take down a Mammoth with Double Armor and then a Rail steals your kill.

Well. . . . you have a lot of M2's. . . . But such an early rank.

 

Your choice, you can either strive for a full M2 Garage, which I think is possible. . . or almost possible. Maybe an almost M2 Garage. . .

 

Or you can save for M3's, since they're so expensive. And if you buy them at sale, which you should, then the left-over crystals should go toward paints. A real good paint like Emerald or Prodigy.

But if you want, you can get maybe 1 more M2 Turret and 1 more M2 Hull if you want.

2. Also, lets say a sale for hornet comes up, or isida, Should I get them? I would perfer hornet rather than isida. Hornet m2 would be a good attacking hull, but will it "drift" me away from my other m2s? (Yes, thats a joke). By this I mean, what if a sale comes shortly after for rail m2, I'm 1st LT, and I dont have enough crystals for it? This is a worst case scenerio, but you know what I mean.

1. I say wait for the sales, don't buy them full price or you won't be able to get the other m2s.

2. I say get ONLY Hornet. Will be great for Firebird and Thunder. You don't have Isida m1, so why buy it m2 if it isn't part of your plan? Buying it m2 will also limit your crystal count, and will give you somewhat of a dilemma between it and Firebird, since they are both short range weapons. (?)

 

(?) means that it may not apply to you. Meaning for:

2. You may not have a dilemma and use them both equally. (I sure will with my Firebird and Freeze turrets that I'd like to get. Great offensive and defensive turrets.)
