You can do much better with Titan+Smoky 9/10 than with stock Siberian or Osaka. These kits can be very OP if you start to MU them at lower ranks, but if you do that you'll only be limited to them as a non-buyer. And when you cross the your bubble of OPness will burst because you'll frequently be competing against other M3s which are much stronger than you.  Meanwhile with Smoky+TitanM2 with some protections can still serve you better against players at my rank and you can save enough for the real M2 combo if you want. Even with your current combo and some good protections you can do well till you get real M3s.

Yes Do what They Tell You . Wait For A Full M2. Try Ranking Up A Few And You Should Find Some Great Kit. I Personally Got A Kit At 3Rd Leiutenant But You Could Buy An Op Kit In The Shop Earlier Than Me.

Now, at this point, I'll probably have my titan and smoky at m2 level.

3. Save more crystals after buying chiropractor.

So far, I only have my Dolphin M1 protection module, at 18% protection against smoky. What other protection modules should I invest in to make my tank stronger?

 

Also, I was thinking about buying a viking kit further down the line. Which is better? Glaze, or Minotaur?

Test the Chiropractor combination in the test servers and see if you like it. Hunter's OD got a nerf and it's situational.

 

It would be better if you stick to two combos, your Keeper and a new M2 combo to replace your Keeper until Titan and Smoky unlock, then MU both combos, and the two combos should just become two hulls and two turrets that you can mix them as needed.

 

The modules for the turrets you think are the most threatening to you, but higher ranks may have a better idea what's needed the most. At mid ranks i'm using more long range protections.

I have titan m2 and it does not unlock until colonel. Smoky does not unlock at colonel as well so it’ll be a long time until You and I get titan m2. I highly recommend getting a falcon and fox module because those turrets are META. I personally have Minotaur in my alt acc but it is kind of boring to play. Also twins kind of got powercreeped from the long/ mid range turrets in the game. Glaze is pretty good. I tried it in test server and hammer kills are super satisfying. I also think you could easily kill juggs with the Viking od and hammer. OR like me, only get firewall kit if you have to crystals to mu because m2 fire 0/0 kind of sucks and there will be instances where some high rank guys with m1 firebirds are torching you with their compact tanks alt :). That's very good for your rank. Guard those crystals like you would your life. TImes like these are where a lot of people make mistakes, so don't be one of them.

 

I would not recommend Boar. It is great... and then not so good. Once you reach Second Lieutenant and thereabouts the number of protections skyrockets, and very soon you're not as effective as you could be. In my humble opinion I would recommend waiting for Chiropractor. Learning to be an effective mobile sniper (not camping) is a tough load, but the payback is immense. Couple the Shaft with Light Capacitors (the alteration) and Hornet or Hunter, and with some skill you can top the leaderboard, very few drugs needed.

I think you summarized what I would have said pretty well. Thanks for taking in the arguments of prots, it's really vital that people keep them in mind.

A 9/10 Keeper is borderline OP if you're not facing good prots. Being a high-end kit in its M2 form, you're already at a MASSIVE advantage. Keep with it for now, it'll serve you well. Once you're at Second Lieutenant, switch to Chiro and you will be rewarded greatly.

Two things you need to know: first, that there are different levels of M2s. "Wait, what?" Well, for instance, M1 Smoky is a BIG jump from M2 Smoky (as in, M2 Smoky is a LOT better). That makes it one of the "best" M2 turrets. Same with Titan. That's why, in theory, Smoky/Titan M1 is a "bad combo" (hence the low unlock rank) and Smoky/Titan M2 is a "good combo" (hence the late unlock rank).

On the flip side, M2 Freeze is the (or at least on of the) worst M2 turrets. That's why it unlocks early. Same Isida.

So, second point. Since, after buying either Siberian or Osaka, you'll need to save up crystals for Chiropractor, you won't have much to MU (upgrade, some people don't know what MU means so I'll just get that out of the way  ^_^) Freeze. So, as people were saying, your Smoky/Titan M1 10/10 is *in theory* better than a Freeze M2.

Does that make sense?

 

Aside from that, there is one HUGE flaw with Chiropractor, and it's one reason I REALLY dislike the kit. Wait, Initiate is trashing Chiropractor?  He's shamelessly advertised it for 4 months.

 

 

The paint. Loam looks horrible with Shaft/Hunter  :D. Make sure you have a good one in your garage, like Urban :P

 

 

 

So yeah, get Chiropractor at . If you're dead set on a melee turret, then consider investing in Firebird M2 at . It's on the higher end of M2s (and it goes well with Hunter).

I don’t have experience with the other kits, apart from boar. I’m just going to point out that there is a ton of Rico protections at that rank, especially when the boar kit comes into rotation. I’m currently halfway to first lieutenant, and there is less now. If you want boar kit then MU it. My Rico and dictator is m3 and m2.5 respectively, and I can consistently get top 3, usually first if I drug(I’m sorry). All in all, Boar kit is not a bad choice. Since you seem to want to buy the chiropractor kit, and you’re still WO3, I can give another opinion on shaft m2 later on. I’m planning on buying Cyclops kit soon.

 

Anyone know if Cyclops will come around anytime soon? Still only have 90k or so, since I was MUing my Rico and dictator. Also, just out of curiosity, what are the best and worst m3s atm?

I want to own Ares much more than Rico, but I don't know whether it'll be released anytime soon. I have some crystals saved, so I can buy Rico soon, but I'm concerned that devs will release Ares soon after me buying Rico & I won't have crystals to buy it  :wacko:

SAVE FOR ARES. Protections for Rico are everywhere - unless you want to use Hornet with Rico, you'll have a bad time.

Your assumption is not very realistic. I am not sure about the game but HTML5 will not die even in next 2 decades or so. Even if they drop it in the next couple of decades it will not die but continue to survive. You can still access the world's first web page (it's was built in 1992), it's more likely that they continue to support the previous versions. 

 

Edit : The current HTML5 version of Tanki is using WebGL (Web Graphics Library) and it is also a very new and long term project for newer browser based games and it was supposed to replace Flash since it's release. So WebGl is also not going to die any sooner than couple of decades.
