Hmm I see. I've read it all and did a bit of my research. There's no way I'm gonna be able to get any augment that I want within WO's. I wanna go for High-precision aiming system. It's a good trade off for some reload speed. Many won't agree but I like the extra damage I'll get each shot. I'm more of a defender than an attacker so I feel it suits me. I guess I'll just continue MU-ing my Smoky to Mk7 for now and but HPAS when there's any sales[after I finish MU ofc]. I had initially planned to do Protections after Smoky but I guess I'll hold it off for a while and go with saving for the alt.

the rank barriers gone .if ur a defender saving up and buying cryo rounds would be the best .in tankis birthday u can get it for 175000(approx) which is a few k more than high-precision

Crystals are ridiculously easy to get now xD. Im sitting here with 130k cry wondering what to do... What turret(s) should I aim for at coming ranks (current WO2)? Allready got twins and viking mk3 (kit), thinking of getting striker kit next... I haven't played with smokey/striker/freeze/guass/shaft buttttttt what would you do in my position??

Upgrade your shaft and/or whichever medium hull you want to continue with.

Plus you will need protection modules - might as well start now since you have to buy all mk-levels anyway.

Don't waste crystals on Fox module now since it won't stop afterburn.

Pretty soon you will change your mind about how easy crystals are to come by....

Earning crystals has become somewhat easier, mostly due to these lockdown events, but things have become more expensive as well. To upgrade a piece op equipment, you will need to buy all previous marks as well. Not even speaking about protection modules and drones, which are even higher in price

Earning crystals has become easy you say,  haven't laughed this much on TO Forum since meeting @spiderman1000. You're literally on the ground floor. Seeing that you just entered the WO ranks, you might still feel things are easy, and with the equipment you have I'm guessing you've always been put in matches with players weaker than you. Because that equipment at the WO ranks is nothing. Most people have Mk4's by WO, unless you have extremely poor handling of mOnEy. What you can do now is to MU a single combo(one that you enjoy and which performs ofc) as much as you can before WO3-WO4. Once you reach those ranks I suggest you start investing in Protection Modules. You must keep in mind that your Supplies aren't infinite and to buy whichever supply you need whenever required[if possible mostly on sales, as I feel that supplies aren't worth being bought without sales]. 

Once you're done with all that I suggest that you focus on trying to get another Turret, as I assume(by your typing of course), that you get pretty bored if you are getting destroyed or if you're stuck with the same equipment for a long time. You can save up for an alteration too if you like.

About Striker: 

Sure, go ahead. It's a great choice. But keep in mind that it won't perform if it is not well drugged and not well MU-ed. 

 

Final advice, since you have 130k crystals I assume that you are good at collecting and are a person with patience, even so I want to tell you, don't waste your crystals on things you won't need in the long run. Also, don't blindly listen to @Tidebreaker. I agree that Shaft is OP at times in certain modes, but try out Shaft on a smaller account and get comfortable with it before making any purchase.

u dont know what real sadness is yet .having enough to buy a mk7 equipment but not being able to buy even a mk6 one due to the rank barrier

At my rank, I just finished upgrading every Protections to 50% at the last sale a couple weeks past.

 

So what's left to me to spend money on... Start on a 3th Turret maybe, and Drones.

 

One thing I am NOT doing is get Vulcan, Hornet and Defender.

i stopped using vulcan cause it takes a massive toll on my dd supplies .even gauss ,rail etc dont take that much dd up

Congrats for upgrading all modules to 50%. Including Spider? Because it is so underrated.

Right now I am upgrading Brutus, may take some time to hit 20/20. Currently I am upgrading my Spider module to 29% defence.

I mean you can upgrade Hornet + Vulcan + Defender, but just don't use that combo.

Why does Vulcan use up more DD than other turrets?  Unless you use hornet, Gauss will suck up DD as well since it can't really kill a light hull in one-shot - which is mostly the point with Gauss.

I get that Defender, Vulcan, Hornet are very powerful right now, but that's my point, I dislike using the flavor of the month combos hoops that the devs wants us to jump through. I refuse to let my gameplay be led by that. In fact, I usually go counter and enjoy ruining those players. I am become and expert to kill and make life miserable to those that do.

 

Which if we think about, means that I in fact DO jumps through the hoops, just not on the same direction as many. Leads to some collisions.

 

I am mainly a Shaft player, always been, always will, whatever map, mission or circumstance. You got to learn to adapt. I do use smoky far in-between, used to use a Freeze on another account, which I stopped using due to time constraints.

 

Edit: I have upgraded Sprinter to 13/20. Combined with Hunter it's wonderful to complete CTF missions.

Thanks for advice. Sorry if I came across as arrogant just haven't started a new account in 3 years and now the game is very different at most ranks. I wasn't thinking much of protection modules but what do you think are the must haves?

Normally I'd say Rail/Shaft/Gauss/Vulcan/magnum

Unfortunately murder-hornet OverDrive renders them moot.  But aim for those anyway - you might face some enemies that are actually using a hull other than hornet.

Glad I made you laugh. As u said above game is very different now. I've mostly been playing jugg mode so have progressed very quickly. Personally I believe supplies arent worth buying atall as for a extra few hundred Crystal's at the end of a game the cost of supplies used will often be equal or more... I do fine in mm battles as well cus people are bad. I'll probably buy a shaft mk4 kit.

Hi,

as Tanki's Birthday is coming closer I wanted to ask what to buy on those (hopefully) 50% Discounts. I mainly plan to get Augments, however due to limited funds I wanted to ask which of these Augments are the best for me in order to potentially beat (or at least annoy) 4000 HP Heavies:

 

1. Incendiary Mix

2. Shock Freeze

3. Cryo Rounds for Smoky

4. Autocannon

5. Rapid-Fire Mode

6. Plasma-Torch (I only have an Mk3 Ricochet though lol)

 

I mainly use Hunter and Hornet. And as I said, I don't have the crystals to get every of those. Actually, I also exclude Cryo Rounds, as that is too dependent on luck. But for 1,2,4,5 and 6 I'd like to see your order on what's the most useful combined with Hunter's and Hornet's OD
