What to buy? Which is better?

Thanks for the feedback. Remaine completly gets me like always, and what he says is true. That "little" health is not very little when on the battlefield. Especially in more intense battles. In drug wars (which start ocassionally) it makes a pretty big difference. Besides the health, the stability has always been something I like. With hunter, I feel like I am stuck safely on the ground. So, maybe to people that have not upgraded neither or played with each for months think that they are similar. Once you do the above things and analyze each for a while, you know their differences. Please do not assume that "it sucks at m2 stage", it just makes me feel sorry for you.

So, as you may or may not know, I've enough for Thunder M3 50% off AND 25% off:

The next time it goes on sale is the time I'm going to get it. I'm not going to earn much XP each day until it does - right now, I'm playing the waiting game.

This means I will have an M3 at the beginning of Brigadier which is a good start. 

Realising this, I feel I can to go back down to M2s - I need to so my my M3 future is easier.

 

I've only got time for one more M2 before it's M3s for good. Which one?

 

Twins is the only other turret I'm prepared to get since I'm not real fans of the other ones.

And as for hulls - these are different to the ones I already have. It'd make my playstyle much more versatile.

What I already have (or will have (this will be after I get Thunder M3(I feel that should be taken into consideration:)))

Railgun M2

I personally like Titan, its a lot better than Mammoth IMO. Its awesome in drug wars, unlocks early so it would be great with Thunder.

I believe this subject is dead. I was summing all of your responses up and replying. For an opinion to be a strong one, you need experience and facts. But, if it's just an ordinary opinion, yes it is yours.

Remaine, I think it all depends on your view, and how you have seen those hulls on the battle field. Hunter, is after hornet and 2 tanks before viking (light-heavy), while titan is after viking and before mammoth. So, they are both kind of in the middle of your hulls that you already have.

Ive gone to Test Server far too long (IMO) and have tried all guns and hulls and its not just my opinion, others too believe that Hunter is a dead end. The "big" Hunter M2 question:

 

Well I really do not know how a Hunter M2 performs in a CTF or TDM.

Though I can imagine it will do a fine job there, that is: IF the Tanker uses the speed and takes full benefit of the 

quite good small battleshape (though it is still a centered turret) it has.

 

When it comes to DM 's I do have a grounded view on the Hunter M2, and it is not positive. Viking M2 unlocks two ranks later,

but is a much better tank in DM and stays so till FieldMarshall when the Hunter at M3 reaches his pinnacle.

 

And yes I did fight both of them already many times (do own Viking M2 's) and the Hunter M2 in DM 's simply fails miserably.

Even a Hornet M2 with close-range weapons does a better job than the Hunter M2 does in DM.

Hornet M2 will do great with your current weapons. Infact, Hornet will go great with pretty much any weapon you decide to pair it with. Its great at M3 as well, and it unlocks early. I wouldn't suggest the purchase of Hunter nor Dictator until M3. I'd only buy one if there was a great sale and I wasn't even planning to really 'use' the hull until much much later - just saving a few crystals while the sale is around for its M3 stage.

 

M2 Hunter isn't bad, I own it and I made more than the full use of it while it was my only hull. I used Hunter from WO5 at M1, all the way until Colonel rank, with it at M2. At Colonel, when I purchased M2 Titan and M2 Wasp... well unfortunately Hunter M2 really can't compete very well with either of those. I use it exclusively now as a 'backup' hull for when my Wasp is MUing, and I need a light hull rather than using my Titan. It loses its effectiveness by Colonel though, without a doubt - and fighting enemies who use Viking M2 from the Medium M2 kit, or simply at Lieutenant Colonel ranks is somewhat of a pain. It did it's job, and now it will be put to rest for many months until I reach the rank to purchase its M3 version.

 

If I could go back, I think I would've done it the same way, but you could honestly do just as well or better by purchasing M2 Hornet. You'll save money, and time in the future. If you're not a buyer and don't have crystals for multiple hulls, then I'd also suggest Hornet because its a one size fits all hull. Hunter is too.. but it doesn't do the job nearly as well at M2 and you without a doubt would need another M2 hull (or M3 for that matter) to hold you for many months until M3 Hunter is unlocked.

I was not planning on discussing this much longer, since Remaine had done that while I was out.

I know, why do you think I said "I believe"? You can keep this going in specific topics.

Test server is a chance to try things, yes, but I dont see it the same as playing with it for a while on your real account. When I go on the test server, it's usually so I can get an overview of m3s at those ranks. Yes, an opinion. Anyway, if you're so much about opinions, you are fine with my opinion that I think hunter is great, if i'm ok with your opinion right? Mhm, as there are others that dislike hunter, there are some that like it, find hunter potential, and connect it with their gameplay.

I think they need a hull that is in between Viking and Titan. At M2, Viking has 220 HP, Titan 292, and Mammoth 300... There needs to be a hull that has around 250 HP at M2. Maybe M2 Viking could have the 250 HP and Hunter could be converted to a heavier hull, with 220 HP, since I think a lot of the posts above mention that Hunter isn't as good as Hornet/Viking.

I like the idea somewhat, but on the other hand it is also nice to have these strange irregular "gaps" between hulls, that forces you to make

quite impacting and tough decisions.

 

What I as a Viking M2 (Hornet M2) "fanboy" ofcourse don 't like is, that you want to shrink the difference

between the Hunter M2 and the Viking M2 to just 30 HP.

 

Surely we Vikings sleep much better if it stays the 47 HP it is nowadays! ;)

Which Hull(s) do you use? And which maps/play-type do you prefer playing?

 

Personally I would suggest Railgun M2 as it can be used well in almost any situation.
