My m2 list has been edited and may need a few more changes. I already have railgun m2, 21k crystals, and 15k from ranking. So my list, in order by how much I want them top to bottom:

Hornet m2

Smoky m2

Hunter m2

Firebird m2

Thunder m2

 

Now, I wont really care if I dont get thunder, but it would be nice. Also, smoky would probably be my last m2, because of the late unlock. The rest of them, I dont know. Hows it look?

If you're going to get M2 Thunder don't get M2 Smoky, and vice versa. Smoky lasts for quite a while (to at least Lieutenant Gen), but if you get M2 Thunder, you will have to start saving for M3 right away. Also, M3 Thunder isn't a huge change from M2, so you will have to spend some crystals to MU it. Also, based on your wishlist, I think that you won't necessarily need M2 Firebird, since it seems that you like camping or midfielding

IMO vik m2 is better than hunter m2, thunder m2 shouldn't be on there if you want smoky m2, and fire doesn't seem to fit your style...

If you're going to get M3 Thunder, make sure you have some crystals to MU it, since without MU, Thunder M3 isn't very different from M2. If you are going for Isida M3, make sure you either have M2 Wasp or you're planning to get M3 Hornet. Smoky M2 is decent from what I've heard (and it lasts long), but keep in mind that you still want M3s.M2 Titan is a better alternative than M2 Mammoth. But if you already have M2 Mammoth and you don't play DM a lot, then you may not want to get M2 Titan.

I would like to know what you think I should do and if you think I should get a paint, what paint would it be.

Keep with Rail/Hornet because you can develop your skills better. As for paints, I would stay with a Rail paint.

Well the problem imo is that Smoky M2 is a M2 that lasts. Thunder M3 isn't, which is why it unlocks early.

I personally don't think that buying it now will be a good idea since I was aiming to get it on 50% sale and try to save my crystals

as much as possible since I am a non-buyer and would be needing those crystals a lot later on.

 

But the situation is different now. I really wanted it since from a very long time.

I was also considering about Tanki's Birthday since they give good discounts at that day so I am hoping to get a 50% discount at that time

smoky has:

M2: 987.8-1243.9 damage per minute

M3: 1243.7-1509.7 dpm

Thunder has:

M2: 1375.5-1873.5 dpm

M3: 2150.9-2915.1 dpm

 

So thunder has a much better dpm, but is smoky's crits with 7.47% @ m2 and 9.00% @ m3 enough to balance or surpass thunder in your opinion?

 

Twins has:

M2: 2340-2880 dpm

M3: 3240-3780 dpm

 

Rico has:

M2: 1854.5-2509.1 dpm

M3: 2881.0-3883.1 dpm

 

Which is better? Twins is better @ m2, and rico is better @ m3, but not by much...

 

(M2 is not mued, m3 is fully mued in both the stats.)

That's not what he asked.

 

Gefor, I think there's an element of stinginess here. There's nothing wrong with purchasing something at a 25% discount. Especially when you consider the turret you're getting - we both know Firebird is beast but the general community doesn't think so - this makes it hard to get it a 50% discount - limiting yourself to that only is counter-intuitive. Limiting yourself to sales only is fair though; but if you keep waiting for a 50% discount, you're going to find you won't be as effective in the battlefield. It's not like you can't re-earn crystals; know your capabilities.

+1 short range weapons really lose their effectiveness in higher ranks
