Exactly my question.

 

Okay, so now I have an M2 combo - Hornet M2 is just darn amazing.

Should I even bother with getting M2 Viking? I want it but I think Hornet will last me til' Brigadier when I can get it M3.

Right now, I'm thinking that I should get it after I have M2 Firebird, M2 Railgun and my expensive paint.

No, I would still buy Viking unless you really can't afford it.

Well its a midfield hull to me. For attack its a tad too slow but its possible of course. Defense its good because of its hp. Midfield best though because of its combined values.

 

Id choose no. 2.

Carbon is not needed for you, you need good hulls/turrets.

Hornet and hunter is good because I have them both. But id rather get two turrets rather than two hulls. Hunter goes well with any turret.

It has the stability, hp, speed, shape, size you want.

Although, the perfect choice would be no. 1 edited. Switch hornet with hunter and thats great. I am getting tundra as well to go with my hunter and rail.

Since I only have one m1 hull, and two m1 turrets, I will get option 4. It is basically pointless if you have a m0 hull with a high protection paint like Tundra... you need both to provide the ultimate protection! :D

 

I will get Isida m1 and Tundra next time. Again, thanks for your opinion.

 and I've heard that the damage of thunder in close and far combat sucks is this true? and does railgun have the same issue?

at m1?...thunder...no doubt about that...is is by far the most OP m1! So i would suggest thunder 100% Plus..if you skilled enough..you gonna make rails miss everytime...and let them feel noobs with their railgun :P

Hornet! because it's attacking hull and you need a good armor when attacking
