What to buy? Which is better?

Should I buy Thunder M2, Railgun M2, Shaft M2, or Vulcan M2?

To be mounted on Hornet M2 or Hunter M2 with Corrosion

In need of a long range weapon  :mellow:

I would say Thunder M2, because it has great stats and M3 unlocks early. If you think you're good at Railgun then buy the M2 (and a 20%+ Rail paint) so you can play xp. Shaft isn't recommended because you can only use it in certain maps. Vulcan can't be used in close range because of the gyroscope feature.

M4's, you can easily beat M3's with them. At M4, all turrets and hulls are balanced, so I would say they are good

Hey, I'm pretty new to the game and looking for advice.

 

I'm currently using Hunter + Smoki, it's my favorite combination, and I intend to 'main' it.

 

However, I've just noticed that I need to be Warrant Officer 4 in order to first upgrade my Hunter... and that powerspike is huge.

 

So, my problem is; I don't think a Hunter M0 is that great to use until Warrant Officer 4, so what should I do?
 

Find an alternative to Hunter? (If so, please do state good tanks which are Hunter-like, go WELL with Smoki, and are, hopefully, better to use during the W.Officer Ranks?

 

Or, should I do the Micro Upgrades? (I know it's costly and I'd end up paying the full price anyway, but still...)

 

This also brings forth a new question which I wanna ask (kind of unrelated to the first one though) -If I micro upgrade everything (Protection, Maximum Speed, etc.) 25 times; will I automatically get M1 after I've done all?

Never micro upgrade past the first couple levels unless it's m3 :) you will end up losing much crystals (check the wiki for the MU tables) and no, when you full micro upgrade everything you don't automatically get the next upgrade (it's 70% off) but the MU cost is far greater

 

You cannot get through the game on one combination, since the unlock rank means at particular ranks your gear will be very underpowered. You should pick a secondary combination in addition to smoky hunter (which is an amazing combination by the way)

some dont have a choice, its not like everyone has crystals to buy new modifications and expensive turrets, what do they do with their crystals???

either mu, buy supplies, paints

Erm, I "wasted" a lot og my crys on my M1 shaft and it didnt dissapoint me :p

Would have got less crys if I hadent MUd it xD

Viking is very stable although dictator is great for gold boxes,

 

Viking has less speed and more defense while dictator is the opposite.

 

it also depends on the turret you use.

As I say, the first few MUs are alright. The first damage step on m1 shaft let's you one hit m2 Hornets for example, but genuinely I think you're wasting after them :p MUs add up very fast, and you probably spent a lot more than you thought you did! And the difference that a micro upgrade makes becomes barely noticeable after a point... But eh I'm not in a position to say whether it was worth it for you in the end! Especially with a weapon like shaft skill accounts for way more than a 1% damage boost

 

Just taking damage of shaft to a reasonable micro upgrade level, even with a good micro upgrade sale.... That's the same price as the m2 on sale :p and that's just one parameter!

You could get something similar, or alternatively you could get a contrasting combination to diversity your garage a bit! The rank differences are quite large, I think you should pick 2-3 combinations that you like and try not to spend much on anything else, like paints and other weapons.

I would prefer smoky or twins. You have mammoth and you will need MU, so don't buy Ricochet, you will need MU it, too.

 

Twins with paints is great, especially with these hulls for some situations(too crowded games endless enemy...)

Ricochet is a great gun, but not for you I think.

Of course everyone has a choice, you can choose whether to save for solid upgrades, or spend them on temporaries like MUs at low modifications, supplies which you can get free, and weak paints that you won't be using when you reach the high ranks.
