Go for hammer, rail or thunder. Remember, don't just save up crystals because

1) upgraded equipment will help you gain crystals faster

2) you should buy m1 before m2 anyways unless you are aiming for kits

Yeah it's more versatile, both Mammoth and Titan are nothing compared to Dictator in speed though.

The M2 version is very powerfull, it can compete with (some) M3 users. 

Smoky in general needs upgrades in critical damage, normal damage and knockback.

 

Upgrading critical chance is not that effective. 

 

Smoky & Mammoth = GG?

Absolutely great in small maps, I prefer it myself on Titan though.

And Viking would be my favorite hull for Smoky.
