Railgun's penetration

It's a good thing that railgun's penetration decreases over tanks, but this thing annoys me;
For e.g you're hiding behind a tank who has double armor, and a railgun shoots you both. The first one gets 500 damage while the second one (you) about 1000.. That armor must have blocked some of its power, which I think the second tank would be getting like 500 damage or so. Same goes if someone has a railgun protection module. He blocks 50% of the damage, but others still get the 100%, so I guess that must be changed.

If you think Railgun's penetration should be reduce then you must be tripping, the amount of rail protection in battle is significantly high, railgun can't afford to have another major nerf

M2 railgun does have a buff, its just in the form of the high caliber ammo alteration.

Compare the damage and price numbers of Rail. Damage wise Rail M2 is like M1.5, and price wise it is like M1.9.

 

Alterations are not supposed to be buffs, but if the M2 alteration is OP, they should nerf it.

It is up to your imagination how the DA works. It might be a penetrable material/membrane that resists large impact forces and the absorption of kinetic energy by letting the projectile through and then automatically isolating the damage, like current military aircraft self-sealing anti-foaming fuel tanks, rather than a solid plate, which a railgun would destroy instantly anyways.

Well, it's not really OP, because of the longer reload time and the price, resulting in not very many ppl having it. But it's a good alteration to have for rail users, so it's fine, even tho I sort of get annoyed that a railgun with the alteration and double damage can one shot my 4/10 m2 viking at full health without rail protections or double armor. But that's just me, I don't like being one shotted without warning.

This is the stupided and worst idea ever , mannnnnn ! Rail already got a massive nerf in 2016/10 worst re_balance . I suggest tanmi noon devs to apply this idea for railgun

 

1: return the old railgun (before 2016/10 rebalance)

 

2: Replace the m2 altretion with this https://prnt.sc/hf7oj0 to return the current rail stats if someone bought it

 

3: an auto altretion for xp / bp battles that make there rail as the current rail.

I'm against this, I mean if you are behind a player and got a railgun shot, the player will recieve by example 1000 damage and you'll receive 500 isn't that enough?

railguns reload was decreased though, so the amount of damage per shot isnt as important as it used to be...

so, if the first tank hit has 50% prot against rail, and the second one has 25% prot, the second tank will have around 65% prot from that shot? that's definitely not bad at all, rails won't do that many double/triple kills anymore :P

Also against this. As a rail user myself, I would find it annoying to watch a coward hide behind a tank with double armor so the damage dealt to them is greatly lowered. Right now, rail is almost perfectly balanced, apart from m2 needing a slight buff like said previously.

Tanki wasn't designed to have logic to it... this is one of those examples. Railgun would be way too weak if this happened, and instead of going for a collateral, I would only try picking off non-DA or protection players first.
