Standalone Flash Player ~ Closes whenever loading a battle

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Lately, I must play Tanki on browsers, since I don't like TODC since I can't re-enter the battle I was in if it was a RU server for example nor I can enter any of the battles on SFP. It's still flashplayer_22_sa, which I think means Flash Player 22 StandAlone. On the original downloading page of Adobe's product, I can see that there's already the version 25+. I tried searching for the latest version of SFP, butI couldn't find anything. Why am I posting this as a problem if I can play in browsers? 3 reasons; lag, endless loading of some battles, annoying "tankionline.com is now fullscreen" message on Firefox.

I barely can do anything in battles these days, even Sandbox/Island/Rio won't load in browsers. TODC doesn't even load these days too.

If you are using Firefox, nothing ever works. Try in-private browsing for Internet Explorer/Edge.

You could also try downloadable client, but I wouldn't recommend.

TODC*

Yeah, I tried using In-Private/Incognito mode in all browsers. I am using Windows 7.

My Internet Speed is as usual, Ping low as always (except in Tanki when it itself lags). I can play in Tanki Test Server too, load any map faster than expected, I don't get why I can join a, let's say, Farm CTF in RU18 (such quite server) to do a group 2v2 training... Also I lack in completing missions, I hope I will complete one before the Server Restart...  -_-

Edit;

I success in joining maps: Sandal, Cross, Polygon and Hill. But that's not enough!

I bet its an issue from your internet provider .Make sure all the ports are open .Happened to me quite often.I had to call them and text the address so they can open the site ports.

Did the Flash work and you were able to play these battles yesterday?

No, it (Standalone Flash Player) crashes/closes itself without any notification whenever I try to load a map.

Chrome sometimes shows brown screen, but the whole time does what I said, does endless loading which leads to "getting kicked for inactivity".

Mozilla Firefox was working for some time and now it does same as Chrome. Opera is a slow and laggy browser which also doesn't load.

Internet Explorer does load (I guess it won't work for long), but controlling is totally different in it, it's not comfortable and leads to showing myself like a noob lately.

It's not an issue from my internet provider, you can call any game or a YouTube video on HD and I will open it without any problems...

Internet Explorer will work. It has almost never crashed in my experience (1 year). Just get used to the controls and you'll be alright.

I don't want Windows 10, Windows 7 is fine.

Do you have problems running other applications? Or just tanki?

Okay i get it. The problem isnt about the net speed. I play fine on 50KBps network 100 ping easy. problem lies when another person connects to your wifi or your pc starts some background updating work. nothing else causes it. 100 ping due to server located in Russia. Other games, same internet 10 ping Bangalore location.

Anyway, just check whether no one else is downloading. Eh! only when your net speed is low. 10mbps multi-downloads wont make a difference whereas 50KBps would make just differences nothing else!

And about crashing, try calming down your anti virus. Another bug I found in the game today I guess, A small box popping in right upper corner stating Error occured. 2 buttons: OK and RECONNECT

Standalones crash when this error occurs while loading. Error not displayed while loading. Displayed when idle on screen.

Since TO is moving from Flash to HTML5, I guess it is only a matter of time, the sooner the better. Many problems will be fixed since Flash is outdated now and it is too late to do anything, many other popular games already moved from Flash.
