Manually Add Player as Refferal?

Dear Forum,

 

I started playing this game again two days ago (I used to play it about 6-7 years ago), and I thought I might refer a friend of mine so that we could play together (and crystals). The only option available to me is to copy a referral URL and send that, so I emailed it to my friend.

 

My friend opened the link in chrome, and http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=356311&hl=%2Breferral&do=findComment&comment=6110711 states that referrals do not work in chrome (which I only found out later).

 

Either way, my friend has now signed up to Tanki Online and is not registered as a referral of mine. Is there a way for them to manually state that I referred them so that I can get the bonus crystals from them ranking up?

There is no manual way of adding referrals, unfortunately.

 

If they did include one, it would be abused in a lot of ways to it is just best to keep it to automatically doing it. If you really wanted to, you could get him to make a new account and try again.

That is right, it is how @Galaxy said, if they already registered than it is late but since he/she just registered, it isn't too late for them to make a new account.

 

Also about the referral link, it is not working as it was supposed to, me and some other helpers tested it together and there was some issues with it. I have already reported it but I guess everything takes some time.

This may be pushing it a bit, but I'm just wondering: If there's a general issue with referrals and none of them are working, would there possibly be a way for us to apply for referrals in some way once a fix is found?

 

I can understand if that doesn't happen, but I thought I might ask anyway.

You can always contact the help desk (help@tankionline.com) and ask if they will manually add it for you. You will just need to explain the problem to them and why it didn't work.

And yes, it is as you suspected it. There is an actual problem with the referral link(s) and some other people have already complained about the referral links to working at all or some other times working here and there but explain to them and hopefully you they will do it for you. Here you can use the free form application in order to contact them.

 

 

 

An important reminder: The confirmation link (after filling the form) doesn't work on chrome and opera. If you open the confirmation link on chrome, It will open the application form again and it won't confirm, and you won't get a ticket number and moreover, that confirmation link won't work again. Therefore, you'll have to fill the form again so it is better to open the confirmation link on Firefox or Microsoft Edge. Good luck!
