Re-make Noise

They can challenge themselves all day they want for I care. 

Actually...give everyone one on Blue a Magnum with just one isida you'll do fine.

That would really mess the dynamics in the map, to protect any flag it will become harder.

That is the point... to minimize camping. If you camp, you lose. If you don't defend the flag, you lose. If you don't protect your spawn area, you lose.

There are only 2 ways to handle this

---Either ban Magnum from Noise and maybe silence as well.. or

---Balance the Map...Maybe extend the map and raise blue side just like red with the center bein at where blue's current Flag post is

So, the Noise map should either:

 

-Be removed from game, even though it's great for quickly gaining exp.

-Change the map to roof off the blue base so enemies can't endlessly lob shots down there.

-Don't allow Magnums in Noise.

 

Remove the map? What if players want to play it XP/BP? Or what if they just want to play in Noise, no matter Magnum or not?

 

Don't allow Magnums in Noise? For what reason? If this is accepted, then I will make a topic to not allow Shafts in Highways, not allow Isidas in Arena and so on...

Well...you are deviating because highways is a fair map...we can have shaft on both sides, same as arena, you can also have Isida on both sides....How about Noise, can you have Magnum on both sides?...

Well, yes. They hide under the ramp near the billboard, and then can easily aim for red flag and do a lot of damages too.

I bet you have never gone on noise with magnums in there because if you have trust me you would not even get the chance to move through to where you are talking about...

And we are talking about noise, not silence

I don't really have a dog in this fight since I don't play Noise much.

 

My idea is to roof most of the Blue base, and leave one small opening. That opening does NOT lead directly into the base but rather to another platform from which a tank must jump from in order to reach the base.

 

No more Magnum threat.

 

No more Thunder threat.

 

Only the most skillful Rico player might be able to exploit it.

UPDATES:

 

So, I thought of something. You know that tiny little portion in the wall on Blue team? Well, that could be extended into some sort of tunnel system and have Blue base underneath red base.

I like the idea. Just make the blue base larger, and add some "roof" to it, by extending the platform thats above it (where the repair kit falls), and that should bring enough coverage from the Magnums. 

 

And yeah you could just go and kill the magnum, but if the red team is controlling the center of the map, its impossible basically. And ofcourse he will respawn back later.

I joined a Noise battle to see what all the fuss is about.

 

They're PRO only, so if you don't like it, don't play. That's the tough love opinion.

 

But - the Magnum issue is clear and present. There were three Magnums on Red team pounding the blue base, just like posters here have pointed out. It's a real problem.

 

On the other hand, it's little different than joining a Brest or Highways battle without Shaft and Rail protection. I get that Noise is unbalanced but since its PRO I doubt this will be fixed soon. Regardless, devs now know it's a problem.

 

So I'm back to - if you don't like it, don't play.

The blue base literally underneath the red base sounds like the winner to me.  Move it to the opposite corner, with tunnels in/out to the regular map areas.  So blue would still be at the bottom of a vertical map but in a much better starting position than before.

Also it will be an even more disadvantage for the blue team because they cannot jump off to capture the flag which makes it hard. I prefer how Noise is right now because both team still have an equal chance to win the game. If your team is attacking then the magnums will be distracted and would have to defend rather than kill you. It also solves the problems of people being lazy and camping which means that Tankers must be constantly moving around the map.

Get two Viking Isidas to heal each other as they go get the flag, three magnums to fire one after the other to keep enemy Isidas to be forced to use their ammo on each other, rather than the others. A Twins Titan as a mid fielder to take out any soul brave enough to come up out of the pit of death. There's your unstoppable defense. I found one way past, but that's a secret for me to keep ;)

I'm more for the second option, to roof off the Blue base, but allowing the ramps to get up and down. Maybe add a couple buildings in the new area to keep it from being too plain and fence off the edges.

 

Yesterday there was FOUR Magnums firing systematically so we were taking shots every couple seconds, rendering our team's Isida's useless, us weak enough for even M0 enemy tanks to come in and finish off what would be a defense near impossible to break through.

 

I would have put this in the ideas for maps topic but I feel this is critical and more people need to see it since users are more inclined to look at what's in the main list. Please do something. This is becoming a trend where at least one person has a Magnum on Red team every time.

There should be a tunnel system not a roof because that open space is the only way blue team can cap flags or at least its the best way and the sneakiest and fastest if blue team have any chance of winning. But yeh like you said there are 2 tunnel ways already so that could be the start of the tunnel but honestly i would only have it go from the blue side only up to the middle floor of the map.

After magnum came, Noise map has been partial to magnums.

 

The red base (UP) has a big advantage using magnums damaging all the tanks in blue base

This is not fair, so please do make changes
