Hazel said that there will be a new way for all to communicate when Matchmaking is implemented. He probably wants to use Klingon as the official language for Tanki, or maybe telepathy... who knows. Only the lunar gods may know what's in his mind.

to clarify this, some servers will join in 1 single server? This will have many more players in one server. will make heavier the server and with more lag.

 

Here, when a server is too full, the game gets very laggy. Seems like a good idea, but if it does get heavy server I think you're going to mess up my game.

My guess is the server merger announced here and the recent expansion of the ranks allowed to meet in battle are related. In short both moves can be explained by a drop in player base. With fewer players online those remaining must be concentrated on fewer servers and able to fight against a wider range of players. My hunch is revenue is drying up and the company is trying to keep it afloat.

In other words people are leaving tanki like hell and servers are getting empty .Beside trying to get more players for their empty servers they are merging it now !Think they got enough cash cow already to give a damn about getting new players.

For a better understanding I recommend you to watch the most recent Q&A in which this subject was discussed as well. If I remember correctly with the introduction of the matchmaking system PRO Passes will be removed, but people will still be able to create their own "Custom battles" if they don't want to use that matching system.

 

Now this update seems really interesting...I assume the battles will become a bit more intense since players from the RU community seem to be stronger in terms of equipment and we will probably face them a lot more often now.

You tend to find more full-time druggers too, in my experience

 

Merging all servers is a good idea but the big question is LAG. Did developers fix server lag or we see more lags in the new update??

If the Tanki company managed to improve lag and connectivity issues they'd generate more player good-will than a dozen sales and a hundred "re-balancing" efforts!

I doubt it, since they said "servers", but all the international communities will be playing on the same group of servers, so I think they will just change the names of the servers to make them more compatible to switch between, meaning RU1-RU20(?) will now be less crammed with Russian players, and battles will be less server specific (like how you can always find Polygon CP XP/BP battles on RU1, but a guy who only speaks English has no idea what anyone in the chat is saying.)

PRO Battles may become Custom Battles and they may be free. So don't worry.
