I would strongly recommend to implement the hull/gameplay update before the matchmaking comes in place as I expect that the matchmaking with all its consequences will have a negative impact on the fun in the battles (at least in the starting months), mainly because druggers and nondruggers play together. It's more likely that people get over these things when the gameplay update is already working.

I've been thinking the exact same thing for a long time. Tanky really needs to change the mindset of "It is our game, we can do as we please, you deal with it," and start dealing with players as if they were real people.

I don't know about the Russian context, and maybe for Russia they are doing alright. But if they want to do business in the Western world, they had better hire somebody who knows about the market and can make a good marketing plan and set reasonable prices in the Shop, instead of keeping their attitude of "We want same money from American player than we get from Russian player; therefore American player plays double." Most of the items in the European shop are simply overpriced. €1 for 1,500 crystals? That's ridiculous. My hunch is that if they bothered to actually study the European market and price their items accordingly, they would get more money overall than what they get by sticking to the policy that Tanki needs to get the exact same money, so American player pays all the extra cost.

After the livestream, I was really excited about the matchmaking system and Tanki's finally migrating to html5. I was even considering buying something for Tanki's birthday. After merging the servers I ask, why? 90% of the players that I will find on the battlefield can get the same thing twice as cheap, and I can't even communicate with them. You might as well get rid of the English community altogether.

Some very good points here. I actually left the game for a month then came back, for the May sale. I'm sticking around for the June sale, but after that???

yep they have some very good points here. Its the old case of supply and demand. Tanki has all the supply in the world of crystals premium and gold boxes etc. But in America and European countries etc, there is no demand because the price is to high. If they lowered the price you would see more people buying like $5 value packs etc and it would make tanki quite a bit of money. I doubt tanki is going to listen to us though, they  care more about the Russian population than the dying American/European population that they caused.

(also sorry for any bad spelling or grammar, I don't have time to go through and check it.)

Take Clash royale or cats for example. Both thriving mobile games that understand how to make the playerbase happy and provide money for the company. Make value packs that are cheap like 5 or 10 dollars. Hiring a marketing team to take care of deals for European and American people. Advertise this game in these countries. This will help you to grow this game, make people less likely to quit, make a happy playerbase which = more money. Just take these ideas tanki and rebuild this game. For it has great potential to become a great game if you give everyone a GOOD deal not 10 dollars for a micro-upgrade or something. But, what would I know, I've played this game since it basically came out for my country  (America), and I have watched it slowly die and you don't know how much that means to me knowing a game of my childhood is dying one that I still love to play to this day. So please tanki don't abandon this game and its European and American players..

Katydid  - the answer is simple DONT BUY.

if everyone protested by not buying for a few weeks then just maybe the TO management and bean counters might start to address some of the issues.

It won't happen though as there are too many people hooked on buying their way to the top.

I don't buy....Never have and never will. Russia is not very transparent in the trade arena. Until I get a better feeling of where all this money is going, they will not see one red cent from me.

When I first started playing, this was a fun game. Not many buyers then.

Last night, I played only one battle and quit. I was on red team. The battle chat was entirely blue with Russian. No one on red joined in on the chatter. The entire blue team was drugging like mad, while most of us were picking up a few rare supplies from the ground (mostly from our own base).

Tanki is no longer fun, it's more like frustrating. If I wanted to be frustrated, I don't need a game to do it, I have enough in real life. I used to play for hours, now I play for about an hour and I'm done. Now with the merger of the servers, I doubt if I will be playing that long. Buyers Rule!! I concede, I admit I'm beaten...but not dead. Other online games heal me and revives my soul. In return, I give them a bit of my money.

Survival Mode

There should be a survival mode mission every day and the player plays by himself. He must collect as many gold boxes as possible. There are booby traps on those maps. When getting killed only once you finish the battle mission with the amount of gold box collected.

How about this for a new daily mission mode.

Sounds like a random Bonus Round mission. Doesn't have to be just gold, it can also be collecting supplies and maybe a free 1-step MU for current turret and hull.

You get one shot at the map, the boobytraps and pits (with gravity wells?) are placed at random so there is no pattern. You get 60 seconds or until your health bar runs out (whichever is shorter) to collect as much as you can.

All your ideas and suggestions falls on developers' deaf ears ... Just play the game & farm crystals to utilize during TO B'day sale

Yep, lower priced pay offerings would do well. I think that might be coming with the recently announced bonus cards, but time will tell. The prices in the shop now just scare off potential buyers. I mean $40-$100 for kits and crystal packages? Oof, the only decent deal is the month of Premium for USD $10.

The semi-recent partnership with Steam seems like a marketing win, but to the point about transparency, we've heard nothing about how effective the Steam tie-in has been at attracting new players. It doesn't seem like it. My 2 cents - the game needs a good marketing campaign in order to bring in new players.

Player retention is also a real problem. My friends list is full of players who have abandoned the game, mostly due to the recent unpopular updates. The mission update seems to have driven off the most players, despite it being IMO one of the less dramatic changes. Game designers are trying to combat player loss by keeping the game interesting, meaning frequent gameplay updates. The problem is these updates occur too frequently and upset the very players Tanki wants to keep. This calendar year seems like a constant struggle to keep up with changing gameplay and logistics.

Some good things have happened. We got two new turrets. MUs became less expensive. Premium got a daily bonus. Buyers get more options and goodies. Holidays continue to feature special maps and modes. These kinds of things have kept me in the game.

We are differentiating the prices between Russia and USA/Europe. I have to agree that that prices are way too high as compared to Russia. There is a thing called economy which developers/marketing experts need to study. And every country's economy differ. Like in india 1$ I guess is something around Rs70 (indian currency). Now there are people in my city with an average income of Rs10,000 of which we need to do lot of stuff(electricity bills, school fee, food etc) and when I go to shop I see kits worth 70$/euros means if I want to buy something than I need to spend more than half of my salary just for 1 damn kit. Like wow tanki.

I used to play a game called GRP(Ghost recon phantoms) and prices differ on steam on the basis of country/region. The infinite pack which I bought was of 5 euros. While somewhere it was on 10 euros or even 20 euros. And in those region people even bought it for 20 euros because of the purchasing power they have and off course they are earning more. So tanki market differs/economy differs. If you cannot do much at least make the prices same as of Russians?

@Austen most players didn't just left because of mission update in fact they left because they were being forced to play non pro battles with no supplies and a poor garage. Double funds were only in non pro battles ×2gold was in non pro battles. Literally they forced us to play in non pro Idk why? Wasn't mission update enough that you have to limit all the special stuff to only non pro's?

They were forced to play non pro battles only because of the missions update.

Before that I had been doing missions in xp/bp mode only - most are really fair unless someone on your team is lagging.

Yes that's what I meant to say. Mission update was enough but they kept on forcing us by giving double funds only in non pro, contest were being held only in non pro, zero supply was only limited to non pro. That's what I meant to say like mission update wasn't enough that they kept on forcing us one way or another.

I agree that Tanki is probably trying to foster a sense of exclusivity with some prices. My angle on that is, that sort of thing does not work well on a purely subjective matter. The best looking paint in the game in your eyes might cost 75k. The best looking paint in the game to me might cost 3k.

The matter of taste is even more important when we are talking about real money in the shop.

Tanki need to hire some marketing people.

In a shrinking player base they concentrate the remaining players on fewer servers.

IMO the best paint is green or metallic, both very cheap.

I bought metallic during a 30% off sale, too.

Wey there tankers! ^_^

Is there any sympathetic soul out there who has some advice for me on where to find gud PRO battles for M2 players? I have been having some difficulties in discovering them since the merging of servers...

I personally prefer "clean battles" with supplies, drop boxes, micro-upgrades and alterations all disabled. :)

EU1 for xp/bp, but I only see m3 games, not m2

If you guys still don't see battles there, then your time zone must be very different.

There are good battles, actually. I doubt that those 24 servers are full of druggers, of course there'd be some decent servers here and there. Also pay attention with the rank ranges in the battles you play in to avoid those Generalissimo's you encounter.

You can avoid high ranked players, but the not the druggers.
