TDM question

So:

Imagine that there is a TDM battle, with a 100 kill limit, and there are 99 kills for one team. A Railgun on that team shoots at two light tanks in line, with enough firepower to kill them both easily. Railgun doesn't take time for the projectile to travel, so both kills happen at the same instant. What happens? Does one team get 101 kills? Does the player get both kills counted in his scoreboard? Does only one count, and the other one not get destroyed, even though to the computer they were both killed at the same instant?

It isn't important to know such details xD

The battle will end before the shot hits the other tank, as simple as that. :D

The railgun projectile travels instantaneously, or else you would have to lead your shot, like you do with Rico, ahead of a tank that was traveling at a 90 degree angle to your turret.  Since it travels instantly, there is no time for the battle to end, they both explode simultaneously, not one after the other. Maybe the one that the server calculates first is the only one that dies.

The projectile does not hit both simultaneously. It has to go through one before it hits the other. So, the first one explodes first, ending the battle.

Example: Set 2 watermelons (or any other 2 identical objects) one in front of the other. Set a video camera so that it can view the melons side by side. Shoot a projectile through the first melon. The projectile will go through both, but not simultaneously. View the video in slow motion. You will see the first one explodes before the second.

Now, set up 2 more melons the same as the first time. Only instead of shooting a projectile, set an exploding device between the melons. Stand off to a safe distance and hit the button (switch) causing the device to explode. In this instance, the two objects (melons) will explode simultaneously, providing the melons and explosive are in the same close proximity.

In the case you have sited, the battle ends as soon as the first tank explodes. You will not get credit for the second kill since the battle has already ended.

Correct, the battle will end right after you destroy the first tank and even if you manage to destroy the second one, the battle is already ended.

What if u use a thunder in TDM and kill like 3 people at the same time?

This can easily be tested, why not do it? :)

Get 3 friends, lower their health and make it only 1 kill in pro battle and shoot with your Thunder and see if the battle will end the second the first one dies even if all of them had the same health or if you will get 3 kills instead of the 1 that is needed. Try it. (:

To test that, all the three tanks must be at the exact same distance from the guy that will shoot, and that is very very difficult to set up. As I've noticed, even though Thunder has splash damage, the closest enemies get hit first. I've seen the impact force take some time to register if a Thunder shoots away from me but I'm still well within the splash radius.

The server doesn't check the distance form the blast when calculating which tank got destroyed first. In case of instant multi-damage like Railgun, Hammer, or any kind of splash damage, if two or more players were damaged and killed by the same shot, then they all technically died at the same moment. But what determines the order in which the kills are recorded most likely depends on the ping, so the player with the lowest ping will be the first to send their data to the server and therefore will be processed before others.

And yes, if two or more tanks die when there is just one kill remaining, only one kill will be counted. Not sure about the visual effect though.
