Changing equipment using Chat commands

Recommended Posts

So while in battle, instead of going to the garage which sometimes takes a long time to load, and sometimes does not apply changes, chat commands may be used as a way of changing equipment quickly

So to change a turret, a hull or a module chat commands would look something like this:

/turret hammer

/hull titan

/module lion t-a

This would save time especially when wanting to change a single equipment

Edit:

Commands may be shortned to the first letter of the word (P for paints)

/T Hammer

/H Titan

/M Lion t-a

/P Taiga

What about cooldowns? The garage has them. How would it work with chat commands? Or would it just say chat command failed

If there is an active cool down maybe a message appears like (Turret change cool down 2 min 40 sec)

Very good thinking, but I'm not sure about this idea. I prefer the light version of garage idea, mostly because the numerous modules and paints, where it will be hard to remember the names and what protections those include.

Anyhow, to know the cooldown status for equipments, devs should incorporate that information to the 'v' button function.

Well both ideas can be added there won't be a conflect between them

Yes, but happens after that if i wanna take combo: /turret rail

/Turret wasp?

Not sure what you mean, I guess if the idea is implemented it can be one command for all changes since no two equipment have the same name

if weapons change is disabled, then after writing the command following msg can appear:

Weapons change is disabled in this battle.

After using the command, changes will be applied when you die/sd or after writing the command, will u sd automatically?

After dying since the other option would be to quickly write between spawns to avoid unnecessry self destruction and lowering of a K/D , which is not much time

It would be better if you could do it as once like this:

"/Turret Railgun  [space bar in between]  /hull Wasp" And then click enter

I thought about that too, but if you make a typing mistake, you have to type the whole line again.. so I opted for separate commands

Nice, although I think change should be applied after the next spawn without selfdestruction

Most likely a tanker will write the command while being alive, if they start typing after a kill they will probably respawn and become active before finishing typing the command, and as you know, self destruction ruins the K/D

It would be better if you could do it as once like this:

"/Turret Railgun  [space bar in between]  /hull Wasp" And then click enter

that would work in command prompt style:

/ceq -t -h -p -m

you must type all of these, but you can leave them blank

What if... this is a command that can be used only in the pause mode (and the pause time continues to run).

This would prevent to get shot over and over again too.

Besides our equipment has very differentiable names, so we do not need to say that the Turret is named Railgun. It is sufficient to equip a Railgun. Now let's add some autocorrect.. and there we go:

([p] .. starts pause)

(from now on only /.. commands work in the chat, all others cancel the pause mode)

/equip Rail Hoxnet     (Rail fits best to Railgun, Hoxnet fits best to Hornet)

Current equipment: Railgun, Hornet, Shark-AFK (Rail 35%, Smoky 35%, Thunder 35%)

/equip Titan

Current equipment: Railgun, Titan, Shark-AFK (Rail 35%, Smoky 35%, Thunder 35%)

/mod ? Twins Vulc

List of the fitting modules for "Twins" and "Vulcan" that you own:

                  1) shark Y-Z:    (Twins 35%, Vulcan 35%, Rail 35%)

                  2) Kodiak-ABC:   (Twins 40%, Vulcan 40%, Ricochet 40%)

                  3) Goldfish-K:   (Twins xx%, Thuner xx%, Vulcan xx%)

Type "/equip [number]" to choose a module to equip.

/equip 3

Current equipment: Railgun, Titan, Goldfish-K (Twins xx%, Thuner xx%, Vulcan xx%)

[p]

pause ended, selfdestruct instantly

When you change equipment, you self destruct. Why should the command be any different?

because he ment, that you just select your equipment that will be applied the next time you self desctruct manually or get killed.

If you do press the garage button right after you die (within ~3sec) you also do not selfdestruct.

Because unlike being able to go to the garage between spawns to avoid a self destruct, you won't have time to type the command between spawns

People rarely change equipment while alive, it's not worth it to ruin your K/D unless changing equipment is urgently requiered
