Tanki devs are leaving the game as free to play but make it so you have to play a certain way, making you think you have to buy since new players dont know these ways.

Even more so with matchmaking. Right now when I (and most probably buyers) see players with premium icons in the battle list of one team, they never join against them, and either try to join their team, or else look for another battle.

 

With matchmaking, buyers will inevitably face off against each other much more often than before, because there are few f2p players who play non-pro.

 

Pay and still lose - some will find this difficult to digest.

I expect very few non-pro battles after the update.

 

I am curious to know what impact this will have on the amount of pro battles.

 

They could increase because some f2p players might give up missions altogether, and switch to only custom battles since there is no pro pass cost now;

or they could decrease because players leave the game altogether.

 

I'm personally not at all enjoying doing missions nowadays. Need to use repair kit each time I spawn just to be able to get a positive score in the battle. Stlil manage to win a few games, but there is no fun in victories like these.

 

I will definitely stop doing all 3 missions everyday when update kicks in.

 

I'll see how difficult it is do one each day.

 

If the chain breaks, then definitely there is no incentive to login everyday. Just login on days where you have more time and only play custom battles.

 

They will definitely not be getting any new players after the update - imagine a player with only 4k exp clicking the battle button, and using his m0s against buyers with keeper kit (smoky m1, titan m1) + plenty of supplies.

He will click the red cross on top right of his screen pretty quickly  :)

it was possible to defeat buyers. before daily mission update. lucky people like me managed crystals efficiently without even earning 500 xp per day. so if we get back through time, period of 2016 is definetely not even pay2win.

I went until WO5 with M0 Isida Hunter to save for Stinger and when I still did missions. Unbroken chain since the start of this account. ALSO, when I'd do pro battles, I played red team on Noise with COLONELS with my M0s, often getting 4th or better. I think I may have some screenshots left, so I could show you.

 

Also, my Hornet is 8/10 M2, which I think you know already and with Isida's rather high damage, I'm just fine in my position. Gonna get M2 Rail for xp/bp then I'm going to save for either Paladin or Jack Hammer and get M3 Rail after then finish the last MU on my Hornet and BAM 4 M3s by Marshal at the latest.

 

I don't need luck in Tanki. Just patience, which I have plenty of.

 

Being a middle ranker with an M3 hull as a free-player should already prove I know what I'm doing

To be honest, that other M2 kit you bought could have been saved up towards MUing to M3 or saving for an M3 kit. Avalanche isn't that great of a kit, but at least you can play xp/bp now.

 

Now saying you messed up in your purchases, but I'd be a bit cautious in spending now. Luckily you're jut WO5 so you should be able to save up plenty crystals again. I might MU your Rail M2 to M3 because M2 Hornet plus M3 Rail (when you can get the M3 for free) is the best combo for xp/bp.

Railgun MUs won't give me any advantage in XP/BP so I am not gonna upgrade it.

Why do you think Avalanche isn't that good, I am playing with this combo from Master Sergeant rank and it's cool. See that 2.30 K/d which I got by playing with Avalanche.

 

My future plan is to MU freeze to M3 and save for M3 kits. I would be able to buy atleast two M3 kits if I save from now......
