06.11.12 - First "parkour guide" video ever

Link: video by zloipapa (founder of ToT)

03.07.13 - The first ever parkour club paint was given to [ToT] Tanki Online Tutorials

Link: video

The video showing off the paint was uploaded a day after receiving the paint.

01.04.14 - First team to conquer the first skyscraper in the game (Rio)

Link: video

It is unclear whether the jumper actually landed on the skyscraper or not.

25.07.14 - First twins elevator

Link: V-log #6 at 1:50 by @VURKAC_36

15.11.14 - the OMP revolution / first OMP montage

Link: video by @SwiftSmoky

This first One Man Parkour montage showed that a single player is capable of performing a wide variety of tricks (before, most players thought that the best of OMP is jumping from ramps). Followed by another 3 OMP montages - introducing new tricks that are now the most common and fundamental OMP skills - it inspired many players to specialize in OMP and make their own OMP montages. At 2015 OMP thrived and became the most popular parkour style in Tanki.

24.12.14 - parkour mode was added

Parkour mode was added as part of the "format battles update".

Sad fact: there was little to no care about the parkourists when planning the parkour format. A day before it was added to the game I had to explain Semyon Kirov (the EN community manager at that time) why removing kill zones is important for parkour. This not being obvious to him and the developers shows just how little thought there was about parkourists when creating parkour mode. This carelessness also lead to the next event listed in this topic: "the great parkour depression"

Middle 2015 - the great parkour depression

Link: topic

As a result of several changes to the game, the parkour capabilities of tanks became worse and many things became much harder or impossible. This resulted in many players helplessly complaining about how bad the game became for parkourists, making less parkour videos or even quitting parkour. On top of that, coming up with new tricks became much harder and many OMP tricks became much harder or completely impossible, and without the capability to do even basic stuff like Cliff Jumps most players ended up giving up on it. It took almost a year until changes in the game mechanics gave rise to great improvements in parkour.

18.02.17 - first "modern" secret room conquered

Link: video by @sterre933

Together with @SwiftSmoky, who started the quest to conquer all secret rooms, she conquered the secret room in Silence just a little before space mode came out and conquering secret rooms became much easier. These two players then continued the quest to conquer all secret rooms.

The quest itself started earlier, exact date will be posted (not) soon.

04.06.18 - the highest point in tanki conquered for the first time

Link: screenshot | video by @sterre933

The highest point in tanki is the top of the antenna on top of Rio's skyscraper. @sterre933 was  the first player to ever get up there, and she did it in the first attempt at her first time on top of the skyscraper.

This legendary video was an entry for the the Rio skyscraper contest. Although it's still not sure whether the wasp landed on the skyscraper or not, the way they did it is incredible.

In the 6th episode of the V-Log in 2014, the Twins Elevator attracted community-wide attention for the first time. (Starts at 1:50)

This video was an entry to the 2012 Parkour contest . This video is listed here because it shows how beautiful "salto" flips you could do at that time.

Any way to confirm that this is the winner? cause the forum link is broken

Back then, it was possible to do a "salto" flip alone.

Now it's possible too btw, but only with stuff like wasp m0 magnum m4 :\

Probably the most popular (first?) free-style parkour video is made by Blechi in March, 2015. (archived)

The first commentated video by Tanki Online Tutorials is published on Nov 6, 2012. It's more than possible, that members of this club did parkour, and recorded them before November, 2012, but I didn't manage to find those videos.

I think it's a date we will remember for long.

http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=263605

yea that was a big disaster :X

added it, though I can't really mention an exact date since it was caused by a process that took a while, not a single event and not when I posted that topic.

Also added the date parkour mode was added to the game

Parkour isn't dying. Tanki is. I remember a year or two ago, how the old tanki web page looked like. In the old tanki webpage, there were two additional boxes or whatever you call it: (i) a long strip of bar showing the user activity. At that time, there were over 150 000 players online at a point of day, and even at it lowest trenches, it used to have over 30 000 players online. Now the number is down drastically; (ii) a poll just beside asking opinions of tanki.

World population is increasing, and so is the number of people gaining access to internet and computers.

With this two points combined, it is okay to say that Tanki is dying (in terms of players, not economics). Tanki is supposed to have increased number of tankers, but it hasn't had it. Since Tanki is dying, so is parkour. Parkour becomes boring without friends to share with. When tanker population decreases, so does parkour population.

I could be wrong, but, all that i am trying to say here is that, parkour isn't dying, it's tanki who's dying. Well, if tanki dies, so does parkour, so you are technically right, but you understand what I mean, don't ya?
