Certain turrets giving more experience

 Share

Recommended Posts

If you look at my profile, my firebird m2 seems to be doing extraordinarily well.

It has the same amount of exp earned as my thunder m2 in 12 less hours

It has the same amount of hours as my smoky m3 with 25k more experience

Despite my smoky being m2 for the majority of the play time with it, does this show that firebird is just better than these other weapons?

Or am I just better with fire/bad with these other turrets?

A reasonable explanation could be that I have used firebird more during my premium period than the other turrets, increasing its exp to time ratio, but there is no way that I can check this  -_-

This sounds like a reasonable explanation. Another one might be that you tend to use firebird more often in smaller maps, where the gameplay is a bit faster compared to battles you play with long ranged turrets like thunder and smoky. This is pure speculation obviously, because I have no idea which maps you play.

Its because of the premium.

Im pretty sure ive used my thunder more than my fire in the time ive had premium.

However, as stated before, no way to check this... perhaps that could be an idea lol - check basic turret statistics at certain times e.g. on ratings page it saves your stats at every rank and you can look back and compare. could be cool, but hard to implement if the servers weren't already saving this information.

You musn't forget about game modes, for example; I have played approximately half the hours in CP mode but earnt double the exp I have earnt in CTF mode.

This is because capturing a point is done far more often than capturing a flag while they both give you approximately the same exp.

Because I always use Firebird in CP mode I have earnt the same amount of exp with it as turrets I've played far more hours with.

I wouldn't consider this a problem, its just depends on how effective certain turrets are in maps and modes you regularly play.

My main maps are Poly CP, Island CTF and Sandbox CTF - I use thunder, fire and smoky for those maps respectively

Then you haven't performed very well with thunder in matches.

I wouldn't consider this a problem, its just depends on how effective certain turrets are in maps and modes you regularly play. So fire in CP is one of the best experience earners in the game, which explains the stats? I should start MUs on my fire xD

Not true, I have screenshots of matches where I have predominantly used thunder and come first on the leaderboard, in no supplies matches

In 33 hours, you have 74k xp with thunder.

If you had the premium on, then you've earnt only 37k xp in battles.

Thats a score of around 270 in 15 minute battles - extremely ordinary.

Good players get 400+ or even 500+ in 15 minutes.

Not saying I've used the thunder for just the time ive had premium on, only that for the time that I have had premium active, Ive used thunder the most. There is a difference. Ive used thunder before I got premium, its my favourite turret

I forgot to mention that I mostly play Polygon CP which is why Firebird has given me so much exp. :p

It mostly depends on how good you are with the weapon. But I do agree that some turrets just tend to give you a high exp/hour ratio, most likely because they are easy to use and have a high rate of fire, meaning that you can switch between enemies fast and a missed shot doesn't matter as much as it would with a turret like Shaft, Railgun, Magnum or a Striker salvo.

Sometimes you might want to play CTF to break the monotony.

Only no supplies CP battles are polygon, island, arena - pretty boring.

Fire m2 is good for experience, but by Lt. General, most people in small maps have atleast 25% protection.

I myself have 35% and kill a firebird first when both of us spawn next to each other, if he doesn't have smoky protection.

When I first began to play tanki

For every kill I did with hammer m1, I got 12 xp.

With thunder, 10 xp.

Or that's what I remember anyway

Then you've done very badly with thunder before the premium, otherwise thunder + supplies is capable of giving maximum xp / hour ratio, because of its excellent splash damage radius.

Just shoot in center of polygon and you can do tons of damage to 4 or 5 tanks very quickly.

I think you get more xp for the same damage done if 1 or more of your teammates are involved in the kill.

Sometimes you might want to play CTF to break the monotony. Currently, I play more CP than CTF. The CTF hours are from previous ranks.

Only no supplies CP battles are polygon, island, arena - pretty boring. I enjoy every Poly CP I play, as long as it is not a total whitewash for or against my team, which usually isnt the case

I myself have 35% and kill a firebird first when both of us spawn next to each other, if he doesn't have smoky protection. You will die to his burn unless you get hit by a freeze or healed by an isida. Also to consider is hulls - you have a viking m3 whereas they may have hornet m2 or viking m2.

Just shoot in center of polygon and you can do tons of damage to 4 or 5 tanks very quickly. Thats exactly what I do...

I can't understand the great doubt yet .

Experience is given by your skills and other factors already mentioned above. But, if you are more skilled with a certain turret, you will get a case like this.

Because you use firebird in small maps where you find enemy instantly whereas smoky etc are used in long maps where you spent half hour finding some enemy and when you finally find someone he takes dd and kills you

Hm, all those maps are fairly small, which makes my theory less plausible.

You also mustn't forget that with Firebird, you can kill up to double the enemies in one bar than a Smoky. For example, you can just shoot two tanks killing each other, stealing both kills, but with Smoky, it will take double or maybe triple the time.
