Unable to post blank messages since last forum update

Hello.

 

Prior to yesterday's forum maintenance, it was possible to make a blank post or private message by typing an emoticon in the text field. Now, whenever I try to do it I get sent to a page that says "Dear tankmen, the forum is currently under maintenance..." Was this intentional or is it a bug?

I am using the mobile version.

 

I just noticed that this happens if I try to edit any of my posts.

A lot of forum features have been taking a hit which is why these downtimes are occurring. It seems like a technical issue with the forum engine and devs are trying to fix it. There are no clear details about it, though, so I can't say how long it will take.

Oh, I see...so you mean complete blank posts (no emojis and all those things)...yeah, neither am I able to make such posts...who knows, maybe they removed that thing?

Even if it will work, still it is not a good thing to do since there is no use for it and won't help anyone and I wouldn't recommend anyone doing it and posting empty messages everywhere, just a reminder.

I don't think this is bad per say. I mean what use do you have for blank posts?

 

About the hidden posts - if you really want to check if you can still post these "useful" blank posts, do so in PM(I don't need to tell you that this PM can be sent to your alt just for testing purposes) instead of on this topic. If you're successful, take a pic of it and post your result here if you really wish to share that.
