In addition to what George mentioned, there is also a double crystal bonus. It gives you double the crystals when you buy (in other words, the price of buying crystals is half). The double crystal bonus is given to players randomly.

He didn't say x2 reward, he said when you buy which means the shop which still makes it a bonus. :)

Sorry George, my post was not clear and it did seem like I was saying that the double crystals card applies to crystals earned in battles. I should have re-read it before posting.
