Add a "boss" enemy

Again, this a cooperative game of simulated armored combat, not street fighter.  We don't need tom foolery and and more issues.  "bosses" already exist, they are called buyers clubs and we don't need anymore munchkin/noob bull to permeate this game.

Like in Diep.io, a random boss spawns and you have to defeat it.

  • The boss will have Mammoth and Thunder XT M3 (with splash and self damage), green paint, and 35% protection against every turret, except for mines.
  • The boss has a 0.001% chance of spawning
  • When the boss has spawned, a notification; "The boss has spawned!" will appear and the SFX will be a altered Gold Box siren.
  • It has 6000 hp and deals 1000-1500 damage.
  • The boss only spawns in Non-PRO battles.
  • It gives out 500 EXP to all tankers who helped damage the boss, and 1000-1500 crystals to the lucky tanker who destroyed the boss.
  • When the boss is destroyed, a notification; "The boss was killed by <player-name> and he has received <number-of-crystals> crystals" will appear.
  • Example: The boss was killed by whackiuis and he has received 1250 crystals.
  • When it is destroyed, there is a 20% chance that it will drop 1 gold box worth 3,000 crystals.
It would promote multing and sabotage. People would wait to snipe the last kill

For each players there should be a special type of weekly mission that involves players to fight in a dual random battle. That is a weekly boss battle.

 

To win the weekly boss battle, you must kill your boss enemy tank.

 

Here are my suggested boss battle rules:

 

1. Only 1 kill to win.

 

2. The enemy boss tank has 1 million HP.

 

3. No supplies or gold boxes allowed. All supplies are disabled.

 

4. No protection modules. All protection modules are disabled.

 

5. Only 1 round.

 

6. Destroy the boss tank before the battle ends.

 

7. Boss battle time - 15 minutes.

 

8. Time tokens. Collect time tokens on the ground to extend your battle time by 1 minute. Time tokens give +1 minute of battle time.

 

9. If the boss kills you, you re-spawn.

 

10. You lose the boss battle if you don't manage to destroy the boss tank before the battle time runs out.

 

11. If the boss tank flips over, he automatically self destructs and you automatically win.

 

12. The boss tank can change turret, hull whenever he wants too. He can be any tank he want to. No turret or hull restrictions.

 

13. The player who wins (kills the boss) earns 10,000 crystals.

 

In addition to the normal battle we have every day, it is a good idea to have a weekly boss battle for every tanker, just like weekly mission chains in daily missions.

 

For players to have a weekly boss battle, they must play and win at least 1 normal battle per day. The battle can be any type such as DM, TDM, CTF or CP.

 

For the boss battle to be unlocked at the end of the 7 days, the player must play and win at least 1 battle per day. There is a daily chain of 7 days until the final boss battle of the week.

 

Please accept and consider my idea to be implemented into Tanki Online.

I completely agree with this but it's preferable to put it as a separate battle (like they did for the DM tournaments)

The boss enemy is a good idea. It should give a cool reward when killed. This would be a weekly boss battle and a weekly boss battle chain that grow per week if you don't skip any weekly bosses.

I have an idea of a type of Boss Battle:

 

Map: Massacre

Battle Mode: DM or TDM

Boss: Land Minesweeper

 

Description of Game Play:

 

1...Players spawn as usual at the beginning of battle.

 

2...The battle field is covered with active mines that will blow up any tank that tries to leave their spawning point.

 

3...Players will be able to shoot at other players

 

4...Shortly after the battle starts, the Minesweeper appears.

>>>>Gathers mines in a random pattern

>>>>Heavily armored

>>>>Can be destroyed, but with great difficulty.

>>>>When destroyed, it will explode with a very large radius, depending on how many mines it has gathered before being destroyed and anyone within that radius will also be destroyed. It does not discriminate. It dosen't care who it destroys since it belongs to neither team.

Some possible strategy:

1...Let it gather a lot of mines to wipe out as many players as possible. In TDM, this could be a big advantage.

 

2...Follow along behind it for a clear path. But bare in mind, if it explodes, so will you.

 

3...The more mines it gathers, the larger the battle field for the real battle to begin.

 

4...Since it gathers mines randomly, it will be possible for paths to intersect.

 

5...This could be a big disadvantage for short range weapons like Firebird, Freeze, Isida, possibly Hammer. But if these weapons can get in close enough, there will be little chance of escape for either enemy.

 

This needs a lot more work, but it's the beginning of an idea.

I disagree with the boss battles. My idea is that we introduce a game mode in which it is called Protect The VIP which means that there is one player in the team and you have to protect that player whilst having to kill the enemy's VIP in order to win the game. Specific amount of crystals can be distributed amongst players in the team.

I like the idea of a Boss Battle. The Boss could be a Transformer that turns into a tank. When it transforms out of tank mode (stands upright) it can have critical damage points at different levels depending on angle of the weapons. For instance, low points for Firebird, Freeze, Isida, Hammer. Some a little higher for Stiker, Vulcan, Twins, etc. But the most critical damage points are high up where only Magnum can reach. 

 

As a tank, it will fire back with every turret available in the game randomly. When it stands up, it will use lasers only, like Railgun. It will be able to run over or walk on top of any tank that gets in the way, destroying that tank.

 

It's most vulnerable when transforming. At that point, it's immobile, it's armor is weakened and it can't fire back. Each transformation mode will last 2 minutes. It starts out as a tank, 2 minutes later it transforms into a (human?) shape. Two minutes later, back to a tank, etc. In a 15 minute battle it can transform 6 times, tank being the last transformation lasting 3 minutes (if my calculations are correct). At the end of 15 minutes if the Transformer is not destroyed, there will be no bonus points, only accumulated hit point scores. If the Transformer is destroyed, there will be a huge battle fund, plus your hit points score.

Nice idea!!! It's a win-win for everyone who helped, some may not need the crystals, but the exp.

Really hope this makes it into the game!!  ;)

 

Also, it could create more fun during special events, like, during Tanker's Day, the boss will spawn 10 times more often


Also, developers like to advertise this game as "exclusively player vs player", so they don't want to add any AI opponents to the game.

Well, a developer could be the player controlling the boss.

The Boss Battles don't have to be an everyday event, all day long. Maybe once a month or a Holiday event. Nor does it have to be a Dev. A Helper, perhaps? There could be a "raffle" of sorts among players of higher ranks. The winner of the "raffle" gets to play the Boss. I've heard of G'issimos and Legends complaining that the game has become the same ol' grind. Give them a task....the task of being BOSS!!

 

Note: Maybe "raffle" is the wrong word. I'm not talking about drawing a name out of a hat. I mean like a contest that all of them have a chance to participate in. Not a drawing contest or parkour contest, but something like the one with the highest kills in a given time frame in a non-pro battle (to keep it fair for everyone) or something along those lines. 

 

G'issimos and Legends have more playing time, more experience, know all (or most) of the tricks and ins and outs of the game. They would be battling lower ranks as well as higher ranks within the parameters allowed for the Boss. In fact, it could be open to all ranks Master Corporal and above to battle on the same map (Massacure maybe) and have player kills disabled. Everyone would be on the same team, with the same goal.....to kill the Boss.

why stop with just one type of boss? 

(i have way to much free time on my hands)

 

The Radioactive Tank

  • a twins and wasp
  • but the twins turret has multiple barrels all around the turret instead of just the normal 2
  • it shoots red twins bullets 
  • does a massive amount of damage, kill it before it kills you
  • only on Chernobyl maps

Resurrected Tank

  • Undead Titan and Firebird (the decorative ones you see on some maps)
  • Keeps spawning more unless you can kill them all
  • Basically a zombie horde
  • run

Ghost Tank

  • Not sure what combination it would be, maybe its random everytime..?
  • Can turn its opacity down, or "ghost mode", making all enemy projectiles go right through it
  • while in its "ghost mode" it can go through walls and buildings

Icy Boi (idk any good name)

  • XT Freeze and XT Wasp :P
  • Freeze Effect is amplified, making your tank basically immovable at first, but the effect slowly goes away after a minute
  • Turns enemies dark blue, with ice crystals coming out

Horrific Experiement

  • 4 mammoths fused together
  • meaning it can have 4 different turrets on it at the same time :O
  • If one of them is isida, it can heal itself
  • m4 mammoth has 4000 hp, meaning this one would have 4000x4 = 16000 hit points

interesting idea, but I think that is a huge distraction in the game from the actual battle. However, if this gets implemented, I think whatever  the boss destroys should add to the battle fund at a large scale.

Maybe the boss enemy / tank could be an actual player randomly selected based on their score / D/L in the present battle and thechance of a boss enemy appearing would be random but more common than goldbox chance and would only last for battle duration and not give them any gain to their account while in the boss tank.

 

Or they could even add a boss mode to the game where everyone verses a few bosses which are randomly selected out of existing players based on a quota.

But that's not what the idea is about. If we're talking about events, then there's already occasional appearances of Godmode_ON (but devs don't trust that account to any non-employee, not even to an admin), and the events team does things like "Kill the king", which is a similar idea.

 

This is an idea for a regular and fairly common automated battle event, where a powerful AI enemy tank spawns and everyone has to kill it.

just a little suggestion .. maybe you'll like it maybe you won't .

 

instead of making it a really rare event , make it a new game mode where all the players are in 1 team against the boss , only for pro pass users , the amount of XP and crystals received from killing the boss will not be massive if the boss is easy , but if the boss is hard it should be more.

received XP depends on how effective you were and how much damage you did to the boss , sharing overdrives and healing teammates counts too because it increases the overall effectiveness of the player

 

the bosses do not have to be at the same level , maybe start the map with a lvl 1 boss and once defeated increase the level of the boss . the finel level should be 5 and the difficulty is "impossible" it is very powerful and beating it will give the team a huge amount of crystals for each player

 

this will make players cooperate for once instead of killing each other all the time

 

maybe it's not a "little suggestion" but whatever

Well, a developer can log in to the battle once or twice a day to be the boss. They just click the "battle" button, fight until someone kills them, than leave and resume working.

Of all the years I've been playing tanki, I've never seen Godmode_On and I don't know anything about "Kill the King." I suggested a player, because it has been said a few times that this is a PvP game not PvAI game. I was trying to think of a way to not to introduce the AI.
